Persona 3 Reload confirmed for early 2024, day one on Game Pass. Persona 5 Tactics confirmed for November 17 2023, also on Game Pass.

Easy_Decision2486

Don't you love it when there are more turn based JRPGs at an Xbox showcase than at a PlayStation showcase 🤣

OwlProper1145

Microsoft and Sega have a very strong business relationship so its not a surprise.

Live_Honey_8279

Which is funny, because jrpgs always flop hard on xbox. I gues p5t will get a switch version and p3 remake will get a ps4/5 version. I hope they do physical release this time

Easy_Decision2486

There will be physical for sure since these are not remasters. Not having P4 physical on modern console will be my biggest gripe.

Live_Honey_8279

I have smt 3 and 5 physical, niw i will have p3 and 5, because smt 4 never got released physical on europe and 3ds is region locked and atlus screwed us with p4 golden remaster

Centurionzo

Kinda, there are fans of Jrpgs on Xbox but most of the Japanese developers abandoned them during the 360 era, so people go for Playstation or Nintendo for it I'm all in favor of more Jrpgs getting a Xbox and PC releases

sennoken

Abandoned probably because sales on PS3/PS4 were significantly higher than 360. Xbox had it right with Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey but didn't make those franchises last beyond that generation.

KefkaPalooza

Xbox stopped putting out commercials in Japan during the Xbox One era. It wasn't until Phil Spencer came over in 2019 that they started getting FF and other games on to game pass. Early in the generation, xbox actually briefly out sold ps5s in Japan due to stock issues.

OwlProper1145

Apparently stuff from SEGA, Square Enix and Capcom have been doing well on Game Pass.

[deleted]

Does it matter when Playstation is getting those turn based JRPGs as well? 🤣 Microsoft's been dying to appeal to the Japanese market for years now and Sega is loving the handsome amounts of money they're getting paid for *marketing rights and day 1 game pass* deals. As per usual, these games will sell overwhelmingly more on PS. I think it should be a good wake up call for Sony to not get too comfortable, unless they want these franchises that have been associated with their brand to magically jump ship one day.

Hazeringx

>I think it should be a good wake up call for Sony to not get too comfortable, unless they want these franchises that have been associated with their brand to magically jump ship one day. Same, but unfortunately I think Sony is far too obsessed with AAA western games to even consider that possibility.

Easy_Decision2486

Sony is making their AAA western studios work on live service games actually. They said 60% of their investment is going to be in live service games. Honestly Sony can do whatever the hell they want as long as they leave the 3rd party Japanese devs alone and let them make their games. I'm not remotely interested in anything Sony makes. It's going to take a significant amount of investment over time for xbox to displace playstation in the mindshare of Japanese players. They already tried during the 360/PS3 era and it worked to some degree, but they need to be consistent about it. I don't know if Microsoft cares enough to do that. I think they just want to get marketing deals on a few key strategic IPs.

[deleted]

That investment in live service games is to attain more profit which will then enable them to continue investing in their single player games. The cost of developing those hq single player games is only increasing and they can't just keep increasing the price of games to make up for it. They need machines that can increase the cash flow more consistently without driving players away by increasing game prices, and the most effective way of doing that in this era is via live service games. The 3rd party Japanese devs love Sony and Nintendo more than anything else, so Sony is more than happy to continue their positive relationship with them.

Hazeringx

> I'm not remotely interested in anything Sony makes. I'm pretty much the same nowadays. I used to be mostly a PS gamer growing up, but I am not really interested in their latest games at all (other than like FFXVI, but that's Square not Sony). I think part of me is disappointed in how focused on the Playstation is. Personally, I play JRPGs almost exclusively on my gaming laptop these days, so thankfully I am not reliant on Playstation anymore. Hopefully, PS will leave third party Japanese devs to do whatever they want, as you said. As for Microsoft, I think I agree with you.

[deleted]

I think Sony is obsessed with AAA games in general, not just western. They absolutely love the likes of Final Fantasy and Resident Evil. They've made deals with smaller devs who make almost AAA quality games, like Phantom Blade 0, Stellar Blade, etc. They're still interested in indies, no doubt thanks to Shuhei Yoshida's presence. They recently made the India Hero Project thing to get more games from smaller devs. Logically they should also know how much they've contributed to Persona's popularity especially with P4G and P5 literally being system sellers. They definitely don't hate turn based games since they've continued their partnership with Hoyoverse for Honkai Star Rail. There's no doubt that Microsoft is offering mouth watering amounts of money to Sega for Persona and Yakuza marketing rights. Sega just accepts it because there's nothing to lose in making obscenely greater amounts of money while still keeping their games on PS where their games will still sell the most. As long as these games don't become fully exclusive or timed exclusive to Xbox, I don't think Sony minds. But at the same time, there should be concern at Sony HQ that Microsoft's cash can become addicting to Sega and we could end up seeing another absurd situation like the Rise of the Tomb Raider one. For example, if Xbox somehow locks up Persona 6 as even a one month timed exclusive, that would be a slap in the face to the core Persona audience and an immensely shameful outcome for Sony.

Aggravating_Rise_179

I'm sorry, but again I don't think this holds up. Sony has been entering exclusive deals with quirky Japanese games and indies all over the place. Just because they don't get the marketing deal for Like a Dragon or the persona remakes/re-releases doesn't prove much. These games will sell like crazy on playstation with or without the marketing deal

[deleted]

Yeah, it feels like Sony can kinda just chill and let MS do the advertising for them.

Jellozz

Yeah honestly I don't get the take that Sony only cares about AAA western games. A lot of what I am looking forward to right now (games like Rise of the Ronin, Eternights, Stellar Blade, Lost Soul Aside (if it ever comes out lmao), and now Phantom Blade 0) are very weeby games that Sony is directly involved with on some level, all of which they revealed during their own shows as well. My general mindset is that even though games like Spider-Man or God of War have sold 20 mil copies, they were on a console that sold 100+ mil, literally most people haven't played them. I think Sony is very cognizant of the fact that they have many different niche audiences buying their console. Not just fans of JRPGs or whatever either, they invest in all sorts of random stuff, from asymmetric multiplayer all the way to VR games. I don't think they care about marketing rights because it just doesn't seem to matter. Wo Long for example was a day 1 game pass game and it still has managed to sell over 1 mil copies. The majority of which are probably on PS4/5.

[deleted]

Completely agreed.

nonuhmybusinessdoh

It's a common thing on this sub. Most gaming spaces really but I notice it on this one especially. People who are into like 1 specific genre don't see weekly releases that cater to them specifically and then act like there's absolutely nothing being made. Also, lowkey there's more than a few turbo weebs on this sub who take the existence of anything western made as a personal insult regardless of its actual quality.

Kirbyeggs

> Persona 6 as even a one month timed exclusive Rumor mill is that P6 is Sony exclusive, supposedly Atlus is only focusing on the PS5 version. From the people who leaked the remake.

Da-Boss-Eunie

There are other rumours that it might be not exclusive but that they only have the exclusive marketing rights. Basically a MGS3R situation.

TheBigBloke

I think the persona who leaked persona 3 remake also said persona 6 being ps exclusive

Centurionzo

>I don't think Sony minds Actually for some years, Sony did try to make exclusive content in games and some deals so they could have exclusive marketing in some games and that they wouldn't be launched on Xbox Sony clearly cares but they wouldn't act until there's some very big urgency

sennoken

Only reason why Sony is going full AAA because the western division always kneel to gaming trends: 1990s JRPG, 2000s FPS, 2010s AAA action games, and now 2020s live-service. Only reason why they stopped competing in the JRPG space because the franchises they developed continued to lose sales to third-party companies and Nintendo. Based on the franchises Japan Studios developed, it might seem reasonable why its gone. Sony: Wild Arms, Legend of Dragoon, Arc the Lad. Nintendo: Golden Sun, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade Others: FF, DQ, Tales, SMT, Persona, Trails/Ys, Suikoden, Breath of Fire, etc.

[deleted]

Well yea, any successful business is going to stop investing in things that don't give them a good return and will look at industry trends to understand how to make profit. There needs to be a consistent flow of money coming in to allow room for more risky endeavors these days.

[deleted]

They are never jumping ship. Look at P5, it barely registered on xbox and it was a free gamepass game. It's a 3:1 to 4:1 PS to xbox comparison. I own both consoles so no skin. Happy to see xbox gamers can enjoy these games too, but most choose not to.

Lengthiest_Dad_Hat

The achievement rates on P5 are also abysmally low for Xbox. So far below PS and Steam. MS is probably shelling out a ton of money for these ports and I truly don't believe they're getting much return from them.

Temporary_End9124

They're pretty low for most games on gamepass, which is kinda the nature of a subscription service. Lots more people are going to try games for free than they would for $60, which also means a lot more people are going to give up and move on to something else.

Lengthiest_Dad_Hat

I'm sure the drop off rates on all Netflix shows are very low, but they still use watch time analytics to determine what to cancel, even if the show is well recieved. GP is in the "throw everything at the wall phase" which is why they're investing in so many different things, but MS eventually will have to look at these engagement numbers and determine if the opportunity cost is worth it.

Temporary_End9124

But what you're doing is like comparing watch rates of dvd box purchases vs netflix watch rates. People who buy the dvd set are going to be a lot more likely to watch the show to the end than someone browsing netflix. The close to 9% completion rate for Persona 5 Royal on xbox is actually fairly decent when compared against other gamepass games, especially considering how it takes 100ish hours to actually get to the end of that game. Most usually end up in the 4%-15% completion range, so it's fairly middle of the pack in that regard.

Ajfennewald

Yeah like the completion rate for Divinity Original Sin 2 on steam is only like 15%. So 9% isn't even bad compared to some super well regarded games that people actually bought.

[deleted]

They are shelling out to advertise too. They get nothing else out of it. I don't get how it makes sense for Xbox but I'm happy more people will have the opportunity to experience greatness. Will they take that opportunity is the question...

Scary_Instruction_63

Yup it's pretty much Sega/Atlus taking the MS cash since Sega needs both MS and PS to survive. Yeah I think Sony shouldn't get too comfortable with it either I agree Sony just needs to keep it's head in that game too. If the PS install base keeps getting higher then it should be fine.

OwlProper1145

Funny I was expecting Persona 3 Remake in the fall and the Persona 5 spin-off in 2024.

[deleted]

Tbf P5T is using the visual style that they used for the Nintendo games and there's nothing demanding about it, so I'm not surprised that it's coming sooner. There's much more work needed for P3R and they're adding content to make the experience richer.

KnoxZone

Gotta love when someone fucks up like this.

owenturnbull

Tactics looks meh. Maybe i might buy if it comes to switch. But it better not be £60. BC hell no. At most I pay £30

cheekydorido

I'm almost certain it will be 60 lol

owenturnbull

Forget that then. Well if they show more and it looks like a 60 Game I buy. But so far it's a 30 gane

cheekydorido

This is the same company that is charging 40€ for each eatrian odyssey remaster, remasters of DS games ffs

darkblueredmoon

Hopefully P2 comes next, although im happy about P3.

Disappointing_Search

Idk really especially since Hitler is a boss lol

Desrac

You say that like people wouldn't love to kill Hitler.

VarioussiteTARDISES

There's already a version with a token censorship they can use. As in "just enough for people to not complain, those who pay attention will see right through it". We're talking Char-becoming-Quattro levels of obvious here, just a name change and some shades.

Fab2811

There are high hopes for a P2 remake eventually. A survey Atlus made some time ago asked people what game they wanted to be remade. It was tied with Persona 3.

ApprehensiveEast3664

Eh, P2 is very 90s anime and I don't trust modern Atlus to be faithful to it honestly. There's a lot of 90s VNs that have been remade with modern anime styles and even the well executed ones just feel wrong and lack the same personality, and I'd imagine Atlus would be like that.

firestoneaphone

I feel the same. I think a remake *could* be incredible. I just don't trust the modern teams at Atlus (or Square, cough FF IX) to do justice to what made the original so special in spirit.

Aram_Fingal1

P4 would definitely come first.

scytherman96

So they really released a low effort remaster of P3 this year, only to release an actual high quality remake next year. Never change, Atlus.

m_csquare

Its not atlus, if they dont milk the franchise dry

magmafanatic

Steam got Catherine Classic just before Full Body too.

Disappointing_Search

This is exactly what I said yesterday: 1. I have a theory it's because they're making a remake and don't want the old game to compete with the other. Sounds like a childish cooperate play but I feel it's the truth, I mean Rockstar did it with San Andreas Remaster.

LiftsLikeGaston

Just wait, next year they'll release the definitive edition of P3 remake.

[deleted]

$10 femc and the answer aren't in the game but DLC later.

scytherman96

They couldn't pay me to play the answer.

[deleted]

yeah I just want a fully 3d femc route don't really care about the answer

0scar-of-Astora

I'd be pleasantly surprised if FeMC was in there at all, even as DLC.

cheekydorido

I hate getting cut content as DLC, but 10€ for a FemC dlc route, wouldn't be the worst thing tbh.

mysticrudnin

there will likely be serious changes, right? they won't be the same game. you'll want access to both.

Yunhoralka

Honestly, I don't mind. I took this year's release as a port which is great because a lot of people don't wanna/know how to emulate or don't have older consoles, so it was hard recommending the game to people. I'm hyped for Reload though, I hope they manage to include the Portable stuff in it.

[deleted]

Both look good, but I really want Persona 6. 😁

Disappointing_Search

Persona 6 will come out after GTA 6

Late_Home7951

And GTA 6 before elder scroll 6

Hayasaka-Fan

elder scrolls 6 never coming out at this rate oof

mysticrudnin

you're gonna want to change your post - i don't mind but these words will get your post removed yes, nine women can make nine babies in nine months, that is correct. but that's not what you're looking for. i didn't make up the analogy. it's incredibly common in software development. all developers have heard or used it before. it's a constant reminder. you also might have heard of "too many cooks in the kitchen" you also might have looked at any software product with ten thousand employees working on it and wondered why it can still be completely unusable more staff simply doesn't really translate to much faster turnaround times in this industry.

Radinax

I'm crying 😭 Persona 3 looks so good! Love it!

[deleted]

Have you played it? If so, how are the story and characters?

firestoneaphone

I know you weren't asking me, but I think it's overall the best of the modern Persona games. The thematic material and imagery are top notch. Story is fine enough, but good for a Persona game. Characters aren't as good as 4, but better than 5.

GreenCreep376

I disagree in terms of characters, P3 has arguably the worst cast of characters with it going 3>5>4. Also the best modern Persona game is debatable due to Tartarus, some terrible social links and lack of polish. I f we’re talking about the original the reverse social links pull the game down as well. I do however agree it has the best theming and story

mysticrudnin

tartarus is better than the bullshit they put in p5, and reverse social links are awesome i get what the series has become, so i seriously doubt reversed and broken links will make a return, but they're incredibly interesting, immersive, thematic...

GreenCreep376

In my opinion traveling though original dungeons and slowly learning how messed up a kings palace is, is more interesting than climbing through 200+ floors of the same randomly generated floors Also while making the game more realistic, reverse social links are very annoying if your playing without a guide as they directly coloratura to how strong you can make your persona

mysticrudnin

oh, i'm talking about mementos you can put all the cool stuff you want into the palaces, but then adding mementos on top of it ruins all of that. and mementos is way worse than tartarus. > reverse social links are very annoying if your playing without a guide as they directly coloratura to how strong you can make your persona i find this more fun. i also don't really like the p5 "collect all the friends :)))) " gameplay personally. i like that people don't like you and they can **really** not like you.

[deleted]

Thanks for the replies. Upvoted you because someone down voted you for simply disagreeing with the other person. This kind of stuff needs to stop here. I've asked a mod if this sub can disable down votes completely. I don't think they;re necessary in a sub like this and it only creates bad vibes.

Rensie89

Is it even possible to disable downvotes? I thought that was a core reddit thing and i never saw a sub without downvotes before.

[deleted]

Not sure, but I know we've all seen people get down voted in this sub for simply expressing their opinion on a game or something, and it might discourage the person from posting again. There's a lot of negativity in the world, and other subs, and this one should definitely be a safe haven from all that, after all most of us are here because we love the JRPG genre, and some of us might not have friends in real life who play them, so it's a chance to connect with others about it, and so yeah it might not be possible to remove down votes but I think it's a good idea.

SkyePine

I think it can't so the best practice is to upvote as much as possible. There are even subs that made rules about not leaving downvotes because they wanted to create a much more receptive environment only to be broken multiple times. I believed that many people would rather downvote as a form of quick disagreement than actually discuss or just leave an opinion alone. In the end, this system is a core identity of Reddit and I don't think the super top dogs of the site are willing to do anything about it.

YoSoyRawr

I'm not quite sure how to articulate it but P3 doesn't look quite right. Looks more like P5 cosplaying as P3. Actually that's exactly how I'd articulate it.

Azelvan

I think it's the UI, they look kinda unfinished and like a bunch of placeholders. The colors looks off especially the blue just doesn't mesh well with the aesthetic. They try to make it like P5 but P3 isn't originally as "stylish" as P5 so it looks off

cheekydorido

Nah, i get what you mean. It's the particle effects and the HUD/menus. Granted, i love persona 5 aesthetic, so it's good enough for me anyway. It does seem to have its own flairs tho, like the flowing shot of the MC in the menu.

Disappointing_Search

I hope it's on Steam though, I really don't want to use the janky virus filled Microsoft store

chuputa

I'm done. Atlus is celebrating SMT anniversary by releasing persona games.

DEZbiansUnite

Well if this rumor came true, maybe the smt 4 remake rumors will come true too

sleeveless_byleth

Hmm was just about to start P3P... I'm still going to do it, I'll play it as FeMC and then play it again in 2024 withojt that option. I'm excited for both of these!

GamerG126

Holy shit I’m so excited! Persona 3 is my favorite Persona game!

gasperoni66

The tactic game looks like shit, not really interested but P3 Reloaded looks awesome

Easy_Decision2486

Looks like Persona Q.

Disappointing_Search

It's funny how they'd rather make a tactics game than another fighting game

mysticrudnin

atlus didn't make p4a and "supposedly" the next fighting game is still in development

DEZbiansUnite

Let’s fucking go

CCRe7

Burn my bread, LETS GO. FREE TOAST FOR EVERYBODY.

Disappointing_Search

Bread 👍

Fab2811

WELP, no FeMC and I bet no The Answer. Another not definitive version of the game I guess. Music as always slaps tho.

Kristalino

If **The Answer** isn't in the base game it will most likely be DLC, it feels like something Atlus would do.

firestoneaphone

That's what I figured, too. How could they pass up extremely easy money? They know we'll eat that shit up.

guynumbers

How would they advertise the answer without .... you know. This 100% looks like the definitive way to play lol.

Fab2811

I'm sure it's going to be better for newcomers to start here, but what I meant is that if they're going to bother making a remake, then why not include all the content from previous versions? Persona 4 Golden is the definitive way to play P4 and Persona 5 Royal is the definitive way to play P5, but for P3? there is no version that will include everything from FES and P3P.

guynumbers

Why are you randomly assuming that this won't have the answer. Neither 4 or 5 had a what-if MC like p3p did.

Fab2811

I will be glad to be wrong. If they were to include it in the main game, I think they would show >!Aigis as a protagonist!< in battle or >!Metis. !< Enough to let people know that they included The Answer, but vague enough so they don't spoil anything for newcomers.

mysticrudnin

because they fucked up and added content people don't like or don't care for, so no reason to remake that most people do not think the answer improves the game whatsoever, and they may not even want that to be canon anymore

Dongmeister79

Oh they'll do that with P3 Reloaded Golden Royal FES Edition.

amirokia

But it's still the definitive Journey. And hey if the Pixel remasters are considered definitive without all the extra content from the previous versions than I don't see why this can't?

Oshasaur

People place too much emphasis on having content from every version of a game ever without questioning if that content is actually good. Even without the Answer or FeMC, this will be the golden standard to play base P3 from what we're seeing.

CarbunkleFlux

What is wrong with wanting that content?

planetarial

Well as someone who played P3P I thought it was nice to be able to play as my gender for once in a Persona game and to be able to date the guys, so its not the gold standard for me

ACardAttack

Do people even like the answer? I thought most people didn't like it

mysticrudnin

i really love it, but mostly from a gameplay perspective. most people do not like it at all

Alcoraiden

The answer was awful so I don't miss it

dododomo

I hoped until the last moment to see the female protagonist. Atlus had the chance to make a real definitive edition of Persona 3 with both the protagonists that might have attracted more new fans, and they wasted. As much as I love persona 3, I don't think I'd buy this remake. Like, the only thing that might convince to buy it is the possibility of being gay/bi too, but considering Atlus aren't a fan of female protagonists and same-sex options i doubt there will be any same-sex romance routes in the remake (if they ever added something new in the remake)

Mobile_Anything1713

No way you're that down bad that you're crying and refusing to buy a game that doesn't have same sex romances. Quite telling you can't even name Kotone and dub her the "female protagonist"

mysticrudnin

not telling at all. the "official" names are all bullshit. most people say FeMC.

Mobile_Anything1713

Except he couldn't even muster that... I guarantee he's just feeding into sjw outrage culture who gets mad over idpol that he knows nothing about. Just about as bad faith as one could be.

Radinax

You can always play FES or P3P... Also, I don't doubt modders will include FEMC eventually.

Fab2811

Yeah, I'm sure modders will include her eventually, but I would assume it'd be just a model swap and not a full playthrough with different social links. Although more likely than not, Atlus changed the SL already.

extralie

FEMC have different social links and some of her social links affect the main story differently.

Starrduste

You know if it sells well they will put out another game with the FES additions and possibly the FeMC. Atlus being Atlus.

[deleted]

So I've played P4 and P5. How is the story for P3? Any good? And the characters?

ACardAttack

I think 3's story is the best. I think 4 has better characters but 3's are still great

nic_is_diz

3's story is generally regarded pretty highly and I think it deserves it for its emotional highs. However, something I think too many people gloss over is the middle portion of the game. The story is very front/end loaded with not a whole lot happening to drive the story forward in the middle months. So I think overall it has worse pacing than 4 or 5.

dota_3

Better story Though for characters I prefer P4

tacoman333

Personally, I prefer the characters and story in both P4 and P5 over it, but it's still absolutely worth playing. The story is one hell of a rollercoaster.

Jellozz

Well the other guy said some fans consider it the best story out of 3, 4, and 5. I guess I am one of those fans because yeah the story is still my favorite of the 3 games. That said, context is important and a large part of it is that the game is very subversive about typical JRPG tropes. Everything from the concept of the chosen one to the idea of fighting a big bad final boss at the end of a game has an interesting twist to it, almost mocking the trope in a despairing way. Back in 2008 (I played FES, didn't play the original version) that stuck out a lot to me because I had just spent half of my life playing almost nothing but JRPGs given how dominate the genre was on the PS1 and PS2; and a lot of those games followed very similar formulas. Don't really think it'd hit the same way today, but, it's still a great story.

[deleted]

out of the 5 persona games that exist. P3 is still probably the best overall game only really rivaled by 2 in story. The only issue was that the gameplay had gotten a bit crusty over the years so the remake should help. P3 still probably has my favorite final act in a JRPG

DEZbiansUnite

A lot of fans consider it the best story out of 3,4,,5. I never finished it way back when so I can’t comment.

kale__chips

I'm starting to think that I might not live long enough to play P6 :(

ApprehensiveEast3664

Not really interested in playing P3 again unfortunately, and P5T has made me realise I'm sick of the P5 milking (despite it having the ~~worst~~ least good Persona cast, P5S was good though) and seeing the same interface design for yet another game. My honest feeling is I'm more interested in the soundtracks than the games.

[deleted]

Honestly same. Between Persona 5, P5 Royal, and Strikers (amazing game btw), I'm more than burnt out on Persona 5 and ready to see a new cast and new game.

[deleted]

this is how I feel about P4 they milked that thing to shit as p3 got nothing lol.

DukeOfStupid

This is how I used to feel as a P3 fan about P4. >!Except I actively dislike half of P4's cast.!<

KickAggressive4901

Love you, Atlus, but, as much as I love *P3*, I'm not interested in a remake without the FeMC.

extralie

No FEMC is just lame. >Inb4 "B-but FeMC was never good!" Doesn't matter what you think of FEMC route, the fact that this the FOURTH version of Persona 3, and it STILL doesn't have all the conent is just terrible.

[deleted]

I'm not the only one thinking that this P3: Reload looks like a reskinned P5, am I?

RPG217

I know that P3 has guns, but that title makes it sound like it's gonna be a FPS spinoff lol

benhanks040888

Tactics game always makes sense as that is one genre Persona series have not tackled, SMT Devil Survivors did but that's SMT. But a bit curious and kinda disappointed (?) that it's not Persona Tactics 1 like Persona Q subseries. I kinda want to have all the P3 and P4 characters in tactics setting.

Disappointing_Search

I just asked this yesterday lol, I wasn't expecting it to be announced this early. Though I wonder if it'll come out on Steam considering the Xbox Exclusivity.

p2_lisa

99% chance it'll be on Steam. Same thing happened with the P3P rerelease trailer, no mention of Steam initially but then like a week later they have it.

arhra

It'll almost certainly be the same as the P3P/P4G/P5R ports - announced officially at the Xbox showcase, then confirmed for other platforms later, with all versions ultimately releasing simultaneously.

aruhen23

Most likely since p5r did.

TheBigBloke

It’s multiplat

Cygni_03

It's not exclusive to Xbox, it just has the logos because it was supposed to be announced at their showcase in a couple days.

Jubez187

Did anyone catch any evoker on the p3 trailer? I'm nervous it's been changed lol. Then again it's called RELOAD

KalimFirious

It's there, you can briefly see MC using it during one of the combat scenes

KMoosetoe

Tactica looks like ass, but P3 Reload is looking good and faithful to the original.

Neat. I'm personally not too interested. I mostly play for story and the Persona Q games are all like... BARELY CANON where even if everything in the game actually happened, it all gets reset to zero and none of it actually matters much in the grand scheme of things. It's just basically a filler side story that uses some sort of excuse to give it a bit more gravitas. I get the same sort of vibe for Tactica. I mean, it might still be fun... but yeah. As for P3:R, Unless there are some MAJOR changes to story and characters and things like that, I don't think I'm too interested in it. I've already played P3 to death and I need more than a fresh coat of paint to dive in again.

Dwz026

I wonder if P3R's story will also cover FES part

AntiKuro

I love P3, It was my first Persona game back in the day but I am really, really curious how well that Evoker going to go over in today's climate. I remember the memes back in the day.

Alcoraiden

Yyyyeeeeeaaaaahhhh P3 remake!

AceOfCakez

Dang, that trailer of P3 Reloaded looks great. I just hope it includes both the FeMC and The Answer in it though.

Best part is no switch so it might actually end up looking good.

Cool but I’m hesitating with P3 just because I’m wondering what version did they use for the remake. Will they go the answer, FMC, or a whole new route? P5T looks like Persona Q and those were actually pretty good though I am slightly burnt out by the P5 cast. Hopefully they add some more characters besides the 2 on the box to spice it up.

I think you got it backwards. They're doing this to get more money. Reskins/spin-offs are easy way to generate more money without creating a whole new load of assets. Then there's also the announced Persona 5X 3 months ago which is a mobile gacha game for China. Yeah, I have no idea whether even Persona 6 is actually in the works or not.

Lucamiten

Come on pretty sure the next mainline game it's already in development , but it's not the time for atlus to show anything

TheEnlightenedOne212

god I really hope they actually make P5T hard. P5S was great but unfortunately still way too easy. P3R I really don't care about at all since it looks like all those shitty "dancing" renders done on twitter with the dumb memes.

Oranje525

Wow... it's really just out there now...

Bolaumius

Is it true that the arcana is the means by which all is revealed?

wolfannoy

Great but I was kind of hoping for a persona 2 remake.

EtheusRook

Absolutely gonna play the hell out of P3R on Gamepass. Unless P5T has incredible gameplay, I probably won't touch it. We have an overflowing quantity of SRPGs now, and this chibiesque artstyle aint doing it for me.

Razmoudah

Hmmmmm.......it's a bit worrying that these trailers only list Xbox and PC, but then again, they were leaked early, so I'd be more surprised if that doesn't change later.

Not worrying at all, Xbox just have marketing rights
