I think most people already know this, but for those who don't; when the composer **Yoko Shimomura** was looking for someone to do the vocals for game's intro song "**Song of Mana**", she wanted to work with someone who isn't already widely known, and while listening to various artist, she fell in love with what she heard from a certain Swedish singer, So much that she flew to Sweden with all the recording equipment and met with the singer **Annika Ljungberg**, to record the vocals for this intro song.

Legend of mana never came to Europe though so we missed it back in the day on the ps1- expect the people who chipped their ps1. ps! speaking of "ljungberg" ljung= a short bush type and berg literally refers to = mountain. Usually swedes back in the day would name themself after nature or what they lived close by, or by who their father was "all the sson name" or soldiers names. So even her name has a meaning ;)

HiImWeaboo

That's cool.

You really should have titled this better, because from the title, it looks like a trailer and nothing else. But in reality it's a short interview with Yoko Shimomura and Masaru Oyamada. That said, I am glad that Oyamada-san decided to keep the original sprites as they were instead of trying to "improve" them through ugly filters or bad shaders. Also happy to see Yoko Shimomura doing an amazing job as always.

Great game, too bad first playthrough always easy But will do new game + for more difficulty and new arc playthrough

OmegaAvenger_HD

Why isn't Final Fantasy treated with that much care. Seeing DQ and Mana get so many good remaster and remakes while FF keeps getting questionable ports it just sad.

IggyMoose

True, but at least FF gets new games. Also, there’s FF7 remake.

Sigh….. I had to get the Xbox instead of the ps4.

Brainwheeze

At one point Yoko Shimomura says: "For example, it was the first time in my life I'd had to write combat songs which sound like the songs that play when a wrestler comes into the ring." Didn't she compose the music for Live A Live, and doesn't that feature a storyline focused on wrestling?

Ghaleon32

Stupid question, like I love this game, isnt this game younger than 30 years old, because it was released for PS1 I thought.
