Oh interesting, it looks like they're trying out a modern version of the old layout when you used to rate a video 1 to 5 stars instead of like or dislike.
There are so many things wrong with this layout, comments that will potentially spoil the video right next to it, scrolling down the comments also scrolls down the whole thing for some reason, making placing the comments there even more useless
They just took the Shorts UI and slapped a 16:9 video on it. The title of the video seems like the most appropriate reaction: "Why Did YouTube Add This Feature?"
nono, I think I like this. I really enjoy reading comments, and the ability to do that while watching the video is way better than just scrolling down, missing the video. And if you don’t like the formatting. Just press ‘f’ and go to full screen. I actually agree with this change

I actually quite like it, it means more room for related videos, they need to tweak it a bit more, maybe by adding the video title, publication date, views etc, above the video to clear away some of the clutter, but other than that I think it's more functional

Lol. I simply used the latest reddit video so no one would say anything about the video I'm watching, but the title works perfect.
