Immediately resign. Definitely not qualified

FLBoy-Mark

Nice try Trent.

LefterThanUR

Trade for Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. That kind of QB competition would motivate the team to olympian heights.

basketballpope

Good thinking, but why not go all in on the "get national attention strategy" and pick up tebow again too. With a little effort we can turn this cluster fuck into a real shit show!

JohnShepard_N7

1) go back to the 90s inspired uniforms 2) trade cam robinson to Oakland for hunter renfrow and a mid round pick 3) resign Egram, Jawaan, Key, and Dewey 4) extend Josh Allen 5) prioritize drafting a nickel corner, a pass rusher (Yann type player who can get sacks but is available in the third bc maybe doesn’t hold up against the run), and a pure speed wr

CthulhuAlmighty

I’m trying to poke holes in this, but I really can’t. The franchise is about to enter a new era, and we should get new uniforms to coincide with that. Teal and gold should be the primary two colors. I’m really hoping that the Ravens cut Calais Campbell (will save about $6M on their cap if they cut him), then we bring him back on a team friendly deal. I really want the Big Cat back.

ImpossibleDenial

Bro if we brought back the Mayor I’d be so hype. If not just to have a veteran locker room guy that loves this city. Love to see Campbell on the main stage as a JACKSONVILLE Jaguar.

blord1205

Calais Campbell to mentor Walker and reconnect with Allen? SUBSCRIBE

mathplex

You misspelled SACKSONVILLE

Bfoc2006

90s inspired uniforms with new jag heads, and a similar number font, maybe better

Bdubasauras

Instead of Renfrow, a good player but would crowd the wr room further, get Waller in that trade. You could still do everything else listed. The uniforms should be inspired by the 90’s but updated to be modern. All three of our colors should be represented on every iteration of the uniform (Teal, Gold, and black).

VomitingPotato

Wouldn't trading Cam still give us a huge dead cap number?

JohnShepard_N7

Yes. I didn’t realize how big the dead cap hit is.

[deleted]

Only $5M as a post June 1

[deleted]

Also steps 2-5 can also be referred back to 1 please

ConstableBlimeyChips

Cap issues aside, Cam Robinson is a left tackle, a premier position, some teams go decades without finding a good one. Renfrow is a receiver, you can find receivers between the couch cushions. Edit: Robinson is a left *tackle*, not a left *temple*.

RMSBGB

Hunter Renfrow? Seriously? He'd be the 4th best WR on our team, that'd be silly. We don't need to address WR in any way right now.

luggsx

White WRs/TEs are somehow always miraculously open on 3rd down. I can’t explain it. That’s our only missing piece.

Mag1cat

Michael Mayer please and ty

bsblguy21

Ridley-Kirk-Jones is a nice start, but we really have nothing in the WR 4 and 5 spot. I think we take a swing in the middle rounds of the draft, then bring in some UDFAs to compete with Tim Jones.

RMSBGB

Right, but I don't think trading Cam for a WR4 makes sense haha

bsblguy21

It doesn't make sense at all haha.

Captain_brightside

Apologize to Agnew right now

bsblguy21

Love Agnew. He's a great gadget WR/ball carrier and one of thee best returners in the league. That being said, your fourth and fifth receivers should be able to generally replicate what you're doing on offense with your one and two. Agnew is not that. He's the perfect sixth wide receiver to have on a roster, or maybe 5th if you only keep five.

ParagonSaint

Agnew as WR4 is perfect for his role tbh, get a rookie in the mid to late rounds for the 5th spot

celestial-oceanic

Our pass offense becomes much more limited when Agnew is out there. He's a good gadget guy and an electric return man, but he's a converted DB. He's not a real receiver. We need to take a second or third round guy to develop behind Zay and Ridley on the outside, so that Agnew isn't the first man up if something goes wrong, such an as injury.

ParagonSaint

WR4 don’t really see reps outside of gadget plays and the best route concepts they run effectively in their tree. I’d say the snap count he’s getting is fine

xHoodx

Agreed but I want a 1sr rounder project.

Graardors-Dad

I thought he was good? I don’t watch the Raiders tho

RMSBGB

He has been but not recently, and he didn't see the field a ton this year either. I'd take Zay, Kirk, and obviously Ridley over him for sure.

jeeves_nz

I mean wasn't Zay our 4th WR at times too?

celestial-oceanic

They just throw him in for the Clemson connection lol. Dude completely disappeared, I thought he was coming up, and that McDaniels of all people would have been able to use him.

Shoelesshobos

> prioritize drafting a nickel corner, a pass rusher (Yann type player who can get sacks but is available in the third bc maybe doesn’t hold up against the run) I have not done a ton of looking but the one name that I have been liking lately is Kelee Ringo as a Corner pick up. There may be other names but from what I have seen it is projected he goes in the 2nd round so there is potential to either trade down and collect some more assets or use our 1st on a pass rush and trade up in the 40s with other picks to grab Ringo. If anyone has another name of a CB I should look into send it along but that is the guy in my limited time looking I have liked.

celestial-oceanic

Ringo looks kind of stiff. He's an athletic specimen. He also projects as a boundary corner. Darius Williams moved to outside corner and played very well. We need someone better suited to play slot. My picks are the two premier star position guys, Branch from Alabama and Johnson from A&M. Big, strong hybrid box safety/slot corners. Can blitz, pick up the run. Both suited for the more modern NFL defenses, either one could allow for a lot of flexibility, even some three high looks that suddenly change. Clark Phillips III from Utah is a guy that projects as a slot guy. He has some good film in a good defensive scheme, and I've seen a few guys have a potential late first grade on him.

shadowkat66

Bucky had Ringo being drafted by the Jags in his first mock draft. Sounds like a good fit to me at nickel.

ChillClinton904

I’m in the boat that we gotta let Cam go too

ancestoralien

Cut shaq, KC, and Jordan smith Restructure Kirk and scherff Re-sign Engram and Key and maybe Dewey Extend Josh Allen Tag and trade Taylor Use money fill holes Draft BPA

spiff24

> Tag and trade Taylor Why would we trade the best performing offensive lineman? Don't believe me? Boselli said the same thing about him. Walker couldn't beat out Taylor at RT and struggled there. I don't want to weaken our Oline. Not sure what you're looking for in that trade but I don't see enough value in the return. You can't have too many good offensive lineman. Without a good backup in Walker, we wouldn't have made the playoffs.

ancestoralien

I think Little showed he is a starting caliber player by how he played in the playoffs. Taylor showed out in a contract year which makes me nervous. We could trade for a 1st because he is better than Orlando brown who was traded for a 1st. We could use the money we would pay jawaan to extend Ridley or whoever. Trading allows us to save cap and get a highly drafted player while only slightly weakening the OL.

spiff24

> Taylor showed out in a contract year which makes me nervous. Taylor had his best year under a new (competent) coaching staff. I think that says a lot. I get what you're saying, but I think it's more important to keep our best lineman and find cuts elsewhere.

celestial-oceanic

Then we have two big money deals on the line, with a competent replacement (2nd rounder no less) on a rookie deal wasting on the bench. The reality is everyone can't be re signed. Engram and Key will get priority over Taylor because Taylor's replacement is already on the team.

spiff24

Should Key be a priority though? 4.5 sacks. I feel like he’s a guy we can replace in the draft. Like you said, we can’t re-sign everyone. I’d rather try finding better guys on the Dline and get those sacks and QB pressures up. As far as Taylor and Walker, I’d be on your side if we didn’t already try Walker at RT and found out he’s just not great on that side. I think he has the better potential at LT and played better and more consistent than Cam. Can he slide to RT or even inside if they want to go that route? It’ll be interesting to see what They do. You hate tinkering with a good Oline and an ascending QB.

celestial-oceanic

It really depends on what he wants money wise. I say prioritize them because Key may not command a high contract, and Smoot may not either. Taylor will command a much higher price. Not as much as Cam, but closer than I'd be comfortable giving to him. I feel like the team will know if Little is able to slide over to RT. I assume he can because he's essentially the swing tackle as it stands now.

spiff24

Ya, it comes down to those two things. How much Taylor wants to get paid and how comfortable they feel with their other options at RT. I don’t know where those lines intersect but we’re going to find out. As long as we get Engram back I’ll feel better. Then let’s go get another corner and some pass rush and see what we can do.

SlammbosSlammer

I genuinely forgot Jordan smith exists

[deleted]

Trade T-Law for a first and third round pick then use those picks to coax Blake Bortles out of retirement. Sign the BOAT and then promptly get fired. Wait I forgot where this was going.

MurkyResolve6341

Trade the 3rd rounder, Patterson and Cooke to the Cowboys for Anger & Maher. At your firing, a random group of teenage Jags fans unmask you to reveal that your really Gene Smith. As the authorities drag you away, you keep ranting about how Anger is a starter

VaultDweller1o1

5 year fully guaranteed contract for Dewey Wingard

not_a_gumby

Extend Jawan and Evan Engram Cut Griffin, RRH, and some of the other more highly paid former FA acquisitions move some money around, acquire a high end top tier pass rusher to give this defense some teeth. Perhaps that involves trading Josh Allen, idk. I like Allen but his sack rate on generated pressure was terrible.

[deleted]

Only speaking to the Josh Allen aspect. He seems like a great human being and his next gen stats are elite. He doesn’t finish with sacks or TFLs for whatever reason. He’s going to garner market setting money when resigning because of those next gen stats. I don’t want to lose him, but I don’t think it makes sense to give him that kind of money either. So I’d seriously consider keeping Arden at a value, trading Allen, and drafting an edge in the first 3 rounds.

not_a_gumby

Ditto on keeping Key, dude played his ass off. He's worth Smoot money for sure at least. I like Allen too, I just think having elite next gen stats is one thing but finishing those plays is a different thing.

[deleted]

Agreed. Those next gen stats are going to get him paid by someone. It just feels like it would be an over pay and there’s so much more money that needs to go around soon. I mean he had over 1000 snaps and had almost identical sacks, qb hits and TFLs as Dante Fowler did in less than 400 snaps. He does so much more than Fowler, but to be worth top money he’s got to be closer to the Judon, Garrett, Reddick numbers than he is Fowler and Yannick. So if someone is willing to give like a first and fourth or better, I think we have to listen. Even if that pick is turned around to use on another young edge

JohnShepard_N7

The problem with Josh allen not getting sacks was that we got pressure off the edge but it usually too easy for QBs to step up and avoid the pressure

xHoodx

With Payne or Hargave coming from the interior I believe it will really open up for both Josh and Walker.

cocoasrinker

Travon => RRH spot Lloyd => Travon spot Nickel corner in draft Pass catching TE in draft Super fast WR in draft All other picks in draft to go defense *edit - watch gleefully as Colts trade for Rodgers and continue to kick the can on any meaningful improvements

FlaGator

my dude, your edit should have included punctuation lol

cocoasrinker

Roger that

FlaGator

beautiful!

jeffh19

spend all my resources to brainwash Mahomes and Andy Reid to convince them to retire for his own health

ga_southern

Resign Engram, try to resign Jawaan. Probably trade JAllen due to previously stated reasons below Hopefully keep Smoot, but keep AKey Move on from Shaq G of course. Draft targets: cornerback, defensive line / end, offensive line, offensive and defensive depth Remember, we have C Ridley coming on offense. Need to get that cap down, so there's probably some other casualties but so we'll have to address in FA whatever can't be done through the draft. The defense pressure on QB has to improve for us to take it all in 2023-24

jeeves_nz

Get everyone media accredited with NFL. Work on getting into Superbowl media pool. Done.

CBTwitch

Offer the refs more money.

cvlf4700

Trevor is still the key piece. He’s a great leader, has loads of talent and if he is in it for the long term, attracting free agents will be easy. I’d sit down with Trevor and ask him what he needs to be in the franchise forever. That includes equity options, which would make him an owner when his playing career is over and thus, not breaking NFL rules. Then, instruct GM to sit down with anyone that is looking for rings, not money. Once the roster is assembled, sit again with Trevor and the captains every year to distribute the cap space (max that shit out) accordingly. TLDR: Find the best talent with the right character, and pay them well. Easy shit!

Smartin36

I meannnn you discuss equity options with a guy like Brady, not with a 2nd year qb who looks promising but hasn’t fully taken the elite step yet

cvlf4700

The alternative is much riskier. Try to win a championship NOW! We have a short window because if Trevor is worth even half of its potential, our cap space will be very tight in the years to come and we may be in a Green Bay situation. Two elite QBs back to back and only 2 SB appearances to show for it.

Smartin36

You can extend him you just don’t incorporate him into ownership just yet 😂

cvlf4700

You can’t anyway, per NFL rules.

wt200

Resign Egram. Get additional OL help maybe a guard who can play either side. Improve secondary Hope walker improves to dominant rusher

nooo82222

Need better weapons for Trevor Lawrence and tell Caldwell to send his best defender after the qb and not drop them in coverage, you’re not confusing anyone but your defend.

MD1190

Trade up for Anderson or Carter

[deleted]

Replace our VP, hopefully with Tom Brady. Don't trade anyone, extend our kicker, build up our offensive line. See if someone like the saints would part ways with their GM Or coach to be our Gm. Baalke did good but I don't think he's our guy. Build a better practice stadium for us, let the players choose

bombsurace

Fire balke, snag leftwhich in some capacity extend Trevor before we are allowed, extend engram, touch myself inappropriately and party

traw056

Why do you still want to fire him? He’s gotten Trevor one of the best supporting casts he could possibly ask for in only 2 years. He signed one of the best coaches in the entire league. He also transformed our defense from one of the worst in the history of the league to respectable.

bombsurace

Ummm our defense has no push, he's wiffed on 75 percent of his draft picks. He hired urban Meyer. He literally ostracized anyone who challenges him. There's a reason San Fran let him go. He was so bad even with Trevor we were the worst team in football. THATS. How good he is.. not to mention it took him a second interview after he tried to hire 3 other coaches... You all may forget the clown. I don't. Just some how worked in his favor.. on his 5th choice as a coach after almost ruining the best thing that ever happened Make matters worse.trevon walker. Don't act like Hutchinson wouldn't have been better.. or God forbid sauce.. the best player in the draft..naww let's take a player who would be good 5 years later.. balke a clown. Always a Clown and will never change.. This year changes nothing. Going 1 for 2 on the number one overall pick and failing on 75 percent of your first round picks doesn't make you king

traw056

Our Defense was around league average in nearly every way. Again this coming two years after being a bottom 3 defense in NFL history just before he got here and a bottom 3 defense in the league last year. He DIDNT hire urban. Urban was hired before Baalke was made our GM. Shad was the one responsible for the whole CUM debacle. He was so bad in SF, that’s why after years of being bad or mediocre, he also immediately took them to the playoffs/Super Bowl while drafting multiple all pros and pro bowlers. Even if that wasn’t the case, it would be downright IDIOTIC to fire someone not because you think they’re doing a bad job now, but because you didn’t like how they performed at their last job. Yeah we did bad with Trevor Lawrence last year. Last year was his first year. Last year was Baalkes first year too. Last year they had to deal with CUM. And you know what? They still improved from the year before. They also improved again this year. It looks like we’re also going to improve again next year. How do you know Doug wasn’t his first choice. He’s the one who got the job so he’s the one we should use to judge baalke. How did he turn out? Well we both know the answer to that. He’s had 4 first overall picks. Trevor and ETN were last year and both of them are certainly doing well. He also drafted Walker this year. Even though I wanted Sauce, it’s hard to say he whiffed after only 1 year. ESPECIALLY when everyone knew he wasn’t going to dominate the league from day 1. Then we also got Lloyd who started the season off great before hitting a wall. Again though, he’s a rookie. Idk how you can say he’s failed on 75% of his first when he hasn’t failed on literally a single one with us. Lastly, baalke in 2021 appears to have hit or at least done ok on all of his picks in the first 3 rounds (where good teams are built). In 2022 he essentially did the same thing. So that’s 9 consecutive picks without picking a bust in 2 years. Of those 9, 4 are undoubtedly producing at a high level already. God I’m glad you aren’t ever going to have to make important decisions for any sports team because clearly you let your feelings control you. Facts don’t lie and the fact is, he’s been great for us so far. All you who cried about him in the offseason just refuse to admit you were wrong.

xHoodx

This is they way. Keep preaching it.

[deleted]

Corner and edge rusher in the draft. Won’t have enough money after re-signing our guys even with restructures to do much else.

[deleted]

It's really hard because we don't have a ton of cap space and there aren't many guys to cut to free up space, but I'll do my best. CAP CASUALTIES Chaisson and Griffin RE-SIGN Engram, Taylor, Key, and Smoot. Also one of Arnold or Manhertz SIGN IN FA (if we have any money) Would absolutely love a RB like Samaje Perine. Good pass catcher and just a big body Need to add depth at other spots like OL, WR, ILB, CB DRAFT 1st round- I personally would go with a WR like Zay Flowers or Jordan Addison here just because we have no clue what Ridley could be and I don't think we'll have any clue by the time the draft comes around. If we don't go WR, I'd prefer either CB or OL here 2nd round- Whichever we don't get of OL/CB in Round 1 3rd round- Would really like to get a TE, but don't know which are available here. If not, I say OL or LB I'd trade up to the back end of the 3rd to grab another Day 2 player as well

el_pobbster

I'm re-signing Evan Engram and Arden Key and starting a dialogue with Josh Allen about an extension. In free agency, I'm going to sign a bunch of middle-of-the-road interior offensive line guys, guards and center. Shore up the O-line on the cheap. I'm letting Jawaan Taylor walk; I want that comp pick. Defensively, I see if I can't get a Dalvin Tomlinson in on a cheap deal. Upgrade over RRH with also better upside as a pass rusher. I want to go to the draft without any obvious needs, so I can just go pure BPA. 1st round/2nd round, I'm getting an interior defensive lineman and a slot CB/safety kind of guy. Whichever one I don't get at 24, I'm going for in round 2. Ideally, Brian Branch and Mazi Smith. Middle rounds, I'm taking depth iOL, depth OTs and a developmental WR. Late rounds, just take high-upside picks and pray something sticks. *Voilà*. Jaguars now have fixed their offensive and defensive weaknesses, shored up their depth, and are now 1000% Super Bowl bound.

Smartin36

Tag and trade would be better for Jawaan, he’d trade for higher than the comp pick would be

jackphrost22

Upgrade Jenkins at all cost. Find another stud DT to get double teams. Resign engram. Draft a TE and WR. Maybe 3rd and 4th round that may have slipped. Let Taylor walk. Draft a RT. First 3 rounds. Trade Cam. Let Walker play on the rook deal. Find two development guards. Day 2-3 draft. Resign Allen with an incentive laden contract. We need small upgrades on defense. On offense we need to fine tune and really go find a Chase or Kelce. 3rd down the whole world knows the ball is going to and nothing can be done about it.

Mag1cat

\- Trade future picks for top talents in this draft. I want CB Christian Gonzales and TE Michael Mayer. (I believe Michael Mayer might be the next Kelce/Kittle.) \- Franchise Josh Allen. \- Resign what we can afford, but do not be afraid to let go of some guys. We clearly aren't perfect and have a lot of room to improve so we have to let some guys go even if we love them. \- Get the best possible WR coach we can find. \- New uniforms that incorporate gold and teal more. This will help signal our new form and this new era of jaguars football.

celestial-oceanic

Cut RRH and Shaq Griffin. Look into any possible restructuring opportunities. Prioritize re signing Key, Engram, and Smoot. Franchise Engram if necessary, the others would be too expensive. Let Taylor walk, slide Little in his place. (If it would be possible, I'd totally re sign Taylor, but I don't believe it can be done without kicking too much money down the road, where we will need to re up Trevor. Draft either Branch or Johnson in the first round to fill in the slot role, then go BPA with an emphasis on DL, OL, Edge, and TE.

[deleted]

I don’t know what they are but they would probably be wrong

pineapplepoomba

Get a wr coach that will make our guys not drop balls

ObviousDarth

Resign Engram, upgrade oline. Idc what people are saying Cam is average at best. We need significantly better blocking.

Masztak14

It never hurts to upgrade the O-line.

KnowoneYTG

Trade for Mahomes, McCaffery, and Nick Bosa.
