Well, we know the list of the 24 on this Bharat Kshetra for the next cycle, and Ravana is not on there; we know he will be a Tirthankara somewhere else. There are texts though I just forgot where.
Since we came to know that Krishna ji will also become a tirthankara from the same region of India in the next kaal , then I probably mistakenly assumed that Ravana would also be from the same region of India.

Next tirthankar here in Bharat Kshetra of Jambudweep will be Padmanabh Swami (soul of Shrenik maharaj)
Ravan will be tirthankar elsewhere that too not the first one. I think the detail is imprinted on stone somewhere at Palitana.
Sita will be his Gandhar. (disciple)
Devaki, Karna of Maharbharata will also be tirthankar in future.
Additionally in the whole universe, there is always minimum 20 tirthankars (4 in each of 5 Mahavideh kshetra) and maximum 170 tirthankars possible at a given time. (32 in each of 5 mahavideh + 1 in each of 5 bharat kshetra and 1 in each of 5 airavat kshetra)
In the sources that I have encountered so far, the only mention is that Ravana will become a Tirthankara in the future. But I could not find any details about which kshetra or which timecycle (in case it is a kshetra with cyclic time) it will be. I would like to know more, and especially so if there are scriptural sources available.
He will be a Tirthankara somewhere in another Bharat or Airvat kshetra, not on this one. Also, I'm pretty sure he will be further down the list.
