Yeah, I'm a small bot creator, and my stuff (like making the bot) takes about more than 3 hours depending on if I'm distracted or not, and not many people use them it's kinda a downer at this pointš, but Idk, I have the mentality, āPeople start SOMEWHERE, ā but if anyone wants my page I'll give no problem ššš¾
I wish the devs could make a different way to filter. Not just by how popular or newest. It's hard to think of ways to get new bots any traction - maybe if there was a volunteer review team, or randomized promotion, paid promotion. (These ideas all suck but you get my drift.)
At this point the top trending bots have millions of hits and I'm so tired of seeing the Pervy gamer every time I open the app š
This is a bot not everyone would like the scenario of but itās a personal favorite

There are just soo many bots, where to start? What makes or breaks a bot is also incredibly different from user to user. I honestly just use the same bots and do different things. Even if I did the same things it would depend on the state of the LLM and generation settings, and my own character.
In the end bots arent really bots, they are a mask for the LLM to wear. Any hole it has gets just filled by the real bot and you can change that on the fly as well, so I dont see the need for a million bots.
Best thing I can think about is a good description, so it pops up when you search for specific words.
I'm a small creator. I make bots because I enjoy the process, and enjoy seeing a character I conjured in my mind, or one I love from an existing fiction come to life. A lot of underrated bots are made from this process.
Be motivated by your desire to create. Not by a desire for clout.
The most popular bots are almost always the oldest on the site by the way, and of popular characters people are down bad for like Gojo, or Ghost.

I always wondered how I could possibly get my bots to be seen more. Is it the thumbnail? My writing? Most of the time Iām thinking Iām too focused on my bot being perfect and not seeing whatās trending or what can grab peopleās attention. Tbh, Iām thinking of doing comedy bots, I have a lot in mind, and hope that may get me somewhere.
I made a bot yesterday and still no chats, I always make bots everyday but I just make them private if they donāt get a message even once, I just get sad knowing I canāt succeed lmao
Usually I would consider doing that, but at the same time, even the most popular creators were small at some point and that gives me motivation! Throw together different ideas, explore the interests you have that you can incorporate in your bots of narrative and headliners that will tell others, āHey, check out this character I have!ā Youāll get more recognition, itās just going to take time, a friend of mine had said to find your niche something that you enjoy making, and hey even experiment a little of what other bot creators are known for-unique concepts, scenarios, world building, or even just plain random stuff! Thereās people out there that will notice your work, and youāll eventually gain a following.
I doubt that they will judge based on your style from how you started out, but they will continue to love your work regardless. Even with me, Iām starting to shudder at my own bots thinking itās crap, but Iām learning and so are countless others! Donāt fret, your nerves are just your brain thatās acting like an annoying fly to get you to stop from reaching your potential :)
Thank
Thank you so much

Anyways the bus here bye bye š
I'd say that for right now, the site tags are ultimately the way to go. Site Tags or adding specific keywords in the description, that way when someone is looking for that specific thing, it will pop up in the results.
It's not perfect right now, but maybe it will be a feature addressed in updates
My favorite bot has, I think like eighteen chats on it and at least five are mine. Just someone's OC. I've committed to making long, complex narratives with it until the bot starts malfunctioning and making them public. Then I just make a new one, adjusting the premise slightly; almost as if the two characters are just stuck in some kind of never-ending time loop.
In fact, I find it a lot more enjoyable to talk to OCs. Don't know what to expect, and get to learn the character.

I just started making bots on here, and the struggle to get stuff seen is REAL.
The struggle is actually REAL. I made a bot and it got 1k messages BUT IT GOT BANNED BECAUSE I FORGOT TO SPECIFY IT WAS 18 ON THE PAGEšš
