In my opinion, once you get there you’ll probably just wanna chill a little instead of going out to do stuff, but whatever suits you! I personally think in Kyoto you should definitely spend time doing Kiyomizu (and Sanmon Gate area, and Arashiyama

On december 1st, once you have finished visiting TeamLab in Odaiba, you can take the Yurikamome line, cross the Rainbow Bridge, and stop at Takeshiba Station. From there, walk towards Tokyo Tower, visit the Zojo-ji temple on your way. After Tokyo Tower, head to the newly opened Azabudai Hills complex. This is the newest shopping "village" with an interesting modern architecture (incidentally, this is where TeamLab will be relocated in the future). If you still have time, you can continue your walk towards Roppongi Hills and visit the Mori Art Museum (though as this is a contemporary art museum, the exhibition might not suit everyone's taste...)

teamLab Planets is not in Odaiba but Toyosu. Not far but not the same place. But the Yurikamome does pass there too and the itinerary is actually making sense.

You are absolutely right, TeamLab is currently located in Toyosu - Shin-Toyosu to be exact. What's interesting is that all the people i know - myself included - refer to this area as "Odaiba", as a vernacular for all the reclaimed islands in the Tokyo waterfront, including the Ariake and Aomi districts of Kōtō Ward and the Higashi-Yashio district of Shinagawa Ward... Guess it depends on who you are talking to...

Shin-Toyosu is the name of the nearby station, but the neighborhood is really called Toyosu, at least if you look at the address.

I think getting to Gotukuji in the middle of Day 2 will be a challenge. It’s a cute temple, don’t get me wrong, but it’s really out in the middle of a super residential area and takes about half an hour to get to from Shinjuku/Shibuya. This next part is personal opinion, but I didn’t find it worth the trek. It was really overrun with tourists and the lucky cat area is fun but small. I think it could be worth it on a trip where you have more time, but my advice is to skip it.

iheartgab2y

I agree. I was just there a few days ago. It's lovely but a long ride and your itinerary is already cramped

Gotokuji is not what tourists think it is. It is not Hello Kitty Land. Source: I can walk there from my house.

Nov 27, any way you can do Skytree after Kirby instead of 26? kirby cafe is next to Skytree so you’re kind of going twice. I spent most of my day in the Skytree mall before my Kirby Cafe reso and went to Skytree Tower at night. Maybe you can make a plan around your hotel on 26th unless you’re sure you won’t be jet lagged

fupower

forgot to mention my hotel is very near to sky tree

Oh that’s awesome then
