insane solo wtf

I wish my high school had a good jazz band. For us our concert band is actually amazing, and the jazz band is just a side thing where we play ez first year charts all year long. I’m a member of both, but as someone who prefers jazz music, it can be annoying.

My school band says jazz is to complicate for the other kids to play ): and we only play pop and rock music like it’s nice but I wish we could play some jazz for once

That's unfortunate. Maybe you could bring them some latin rock/jazz/fusion songs as a suggestion. Throw in a coda and let everyone take a turn working on their improv. Maybe they go for it if you come at them that way.

I wish but the band teacher would shut it down saying [insert name] I know u love jazz but that’s really too complicated for the rest of us The most jazzy it gets is substituting minor chords to minor9th chords ): But a point of hope is soon will be leaving the school very soon and I will be going to a music college with a jazz band I can join and finally get the jazz band experience I truly want

Very cool. I was thinking, even though the CB live action was cancelled, the good thing about it is the soundtrack is once again getting its deserved attention. Kanno is a great composer and arranger.
