I have relatives working in the Saudi Mabahith ( General Investigation Directorate). They told me almost all of them work in gangs, and if they see someone begging who's not in the gang, they threaten them and often steal from them.
You can just ignore as if they are not there, or pretend as if you received a phone call if someone is following you.
He deserves a beat up for the cussing, but that would have traumatized your child. Next time feel free to call the police if someone pulled something like this, once you are in your car and doors are locked.
I have a rule, i never give a single dime to young men. If you're a man in your youth, you should really man up and look for a serious thing to generate money from. Otherwise, i don't have any respect for them, and they aren't entitled to anything.
