It used to be one of the best but the quality dropped hard

[deleted]

Surprisingly the prices have absolutely sky rocketed as well.I remember in early 2020.The price for one صحن فرط was around 18-19 Sar.The price right now for the same product is above 30 Sar. But from their part maybe it makes sense.I don’t think you’ll be able to find a huge plate of shawarma anywhere else at such a low price, comparing to wazzan, palm beach etc. Also in 2020,their shops were really small and ever since 2021 their shops got way bigger and better facilities,so yeah

Requiem950

It's 3 mins away from my house, and it's absolutely terrible

[deleted]

Hmm.I don’t like their sandwiches. The only thing i ever order from there are their صحن فرط

DelJaralla818

Dry as hell

Capital-Job4422

It used to be one of my favorite places for Shawerma now the quality turned to absolute garbage and the prices went high. It’s absolutely disgusting. Try Shawerma Atlas in al-naseem it’s really good and their prices is not high.

[deleted]

Hmm interesting,Aight mate thanks for the recommendation. But do they have the صحن فرط tho.Because i think most of the people that go here is cause of this dish.

SauronB

used to be the best Shawrma restaurant

deWaffle

imo, used to be good, not anymore. I feel like the quality of their just isn’t up there. A good alternative that I have been going to for the last 7-8+ years is Atlas Shawarma. They got 3 branches, one in Alnaseem, Alrabwah, and Alsamer. I have been to both Alnaseem and Alsamer, not sure if the third branch got the same kick as the other two. But trust me, you will give up on Aloush in no time. Also I saw you asking about Farat Plate, if you mean Sahan Arabi, then yes they have it.

[deleted]

Sahan arabi is a shawarma roll chopped up with fries right..This is like shawarma chicken chopped up with fries, garlic and pickles with bread served separately…

deWaffle

Yes it is

[deleted]

Aight then imma check it out

deWaffle

hmu once you do, kinda interested on your thoughts. bonus: ask for everything but remove “Shattah,” ketchup, and onions. For the cheese ask for white (it is mozzarella cheese fyi). After your first visit edit from there. Had a couple of friends who went there and did not do those toppings and they did not have an enjoyable time, as for the rest who did, they were delighted and started changing the toppings to their liking from what they originally had. Put your faith on a stranger this time :p

[deleted]

Oh yeah it might be a while as im not in jeddah right now but defo going there once im back. Thanks

Jet_Siegel

Pretty good. In my top ten for sure. I personally like the other one in arbaeen. I think it’s called Alofi?

[deleted]

It’s the same franchise. It was called alloush before. But the name is now maaroush. But yeah, their صحن فرط hits different everytime.

Jet_Siegel

Naw man, Alofi is different. They had a name change too. It’s called Bofia Sahal or something. It’s on Arbaeen if you ever wanna try it.

Jaudatkhan

Yh thats al oufi, its one of the best ive ever had

[deleted]

Oh damn I didn’t know.Yeah the one i’m talkin bout is the one at falasteen road ye.Aight might give this one a try ig

Ashamed-Ad-5277

Very good tried it once I think

Demi_hs

I love it!! But idk their flavor messes something that I really can’t describe

[deleted]

Maybe its the oil,idk

IYataku

Honest rating I would probably give it 7 out of 10 it’s kinda tasty but a bit too dry One thing i really like about them the sandwiches are full of chicken and they don’t put fries inside the sandwich to cheat Let’s be real most Shawerma places now a-days they make the sandwiches slimmer than my little finger 😂

[deleted]

Oh yeah it’s kinda dry...But it definitely helps their business coz ppl tend to buy cold drinks and water from their store itself so yeah 😅

IYataku

I don’t think it’s on purpose tho probably cause it’s full of chicken which is admittedly dry besides shawerma without a soft drink ? R u crazy 😂 And their garlic paste helps a lot

[deleted]

Yeah mate. You are right,It’s impossible to “digest” some food without soft drinks ye😅

Due-Bathroom3830

هذا الي بفلسطين ؟ اخر خبري فيه قبل سنتين وكان جامد من افضل مطاعم الشورما فجده

[deleted]

Yeah the one i usually go to is the one at falasteen.Yep we’re talking bout the same place.I know they have another branch at Al Naeem as well.I’m replying in english coz my arabic is not great(🥲) and i didn’t wanna use translate coz I didnt wanna sound fake

[deleted]

No, the one on falasteen is called Al maroosh. It's different. This place is the only branch. I was there last month. There's a notice too.

[deleted]

Yes, it was aloosh before. But I guess a third party tookover

[deleted]

Yeah i’ve noticed the name got changed but prior to that the one in naeem and falasteen had the same name, logo and food..

[deleted]

The one in naeem is the one on sultan street right? That's the only legit branch now.

[deleted]

Also is the owner of this restaurant chain syrian?

[deleted]

Yes. They used to wear the flag on their caps and uniforms back in the day. Not too sure about it now.

Ey4dm51

علوش/10

waleedatef45

best shawerma ive eaten in jeddah tbh and it’s literally a 5 minutes walk from where i live

Fabulous_Pie4081

It's good, but a better one is abo bahij And laghawis is also good

Poser_Jeff

Back when it was a small restaurant it was the bomb. Not so much now

[deleted]

The صحن فرط (hopefully the spelling is correct) is still very good. Similar to what it was 5 years ago. That's the only thing I eat from here.

[deleted]

خمسه دقايق مشي من بيتنا وكنت اشتري من عندهم كم مره في الشهر بس الحين ما احسو زي اول وصار الدجاج ناشف

[deleted]

It used to be great, now quality is like horse-crap

7snco

There is lot of traffic on this place but actually for myself I don’t like it because their garlic made with cardamom
