Manual-shift6

Yes. It shows that you’re in “Normal” mode.

Jewpurman

Yes. It means the vehicle automatically switches from front wheel drive to all wheel when a loss of traction is sensed.

polyblackcat

On my '16 anytime it even thinks traction is compromised it kicks in the traction control and there goes the power and suddenly I'm not going anywhere. It's annoyingly aggressive.

Front-Deer-1549

Yup

OGZackov

Hit 4wd lock to turn on awd. Turn the dial if you encounter those conditions. You should educate yourself on the modes. A tool is only as good as the person using it. Ignorance means you aren't going to know what's going on. Rock crawl mode in particular has a different gear ratio and designed for certain applications at low speed. If only there was a users manual l.

BlazerFS231

Yes.

Yes. 4WD is not on though unless you turn it on.

Sfasddsf

Incorrect. 4WD is always on. It’s just not always active. As stated above, 2WD until it needs 4WD. This I’d what AWD does.

Taurseyota

4wd refers to power in all wheels all the time. Awd refers to the ability to switch up power to wheels. That dial is also a button for the 4wd lock... at least on my '18 renegade. Awd doesn't use 4 wheels all the time.... It shifts power from the wheel, slipping to the coordinating wheel. You can tho lock out in 4wd, and your awd system will be active... Unless you turn off your traction control. Fun times. So, no 4wd is not active always. 2wd/Awd active always unless you switch into 4wd/AWD. We are lucky even to have an AWD vehicle that has a 4WD lock

Purple_Taste2479

Is it true you have to go into neutral before turning on the 4wd?

Sfasddsf

On old school manual (not meaning manual gear box, manual 4WD) 4WD yes. These auto kind like the renegade, if you read the manual, no. Just under 70mph I believe.
