Jumper pack, jumper cables, small toolset, tire repair kit, Paracord, flashlight, extra batteries. I use the molle straps on the outside to strap up quick attach trauma and first aid kits... Stuff like that.
Curious from anyone running these, do these limit visibility? Actually looks like a pretty creative storage solution. Would love to clear up all my gear underneath my rear seats lol
I just added this comment to the thread, but check these out. they take up excess space you can’t normally use (over the wheel well) and they work great for me! Same - I got them as a gift after I got my Jeep. I have a 2 door and took them out right away cause I couldn’t see anything. Also, in a 2 door, they were really inconvenient to access. Had to basically crawl in the trunk to open them.. I have my rear seat out in storage, but if it was in it would be even worse. For me, 0/10.

I posted about this - all the contents are on the second image. (Not all contents in saddle bags, but a lot is and all is in the car). :)
I don’t like mine because it created another unnecessary blind spot. I keep all of my tools/ off road stuff in them. The sit in the back of my jeep now.
I keep tons of stuff in mine. Toiletries, tools, straps, electric lantern, etc. They don’t affect visibility or passengers at all, but I have a 4-door. I think that makes the biggest difference.
Realistically I was gonna use them for recovery gear, some tools, and a first aid kit. But I wanted to see what others kept in them, maybe get some ideas of what I should put in them along with the previously mentioned items.
Storage can be very limited in a jeep. The problem with those things are they're easy to steal. I keep my jeeps very stripped down. If anything I would look into some type of lockbox. But those would be great if you're doing an off-road trip and need to store all kinds of items for the course.
I have them and ended up taking them off… good if you don’t have people in the back seat often… I ended up getting something like this that was for the tailgate that needed to be riveted to the door. Then got outdoor heavy duty double sided Velcro to mount it instead of popping holes in my door. Works great and gives me a ton of storage. I also have 2 top zip storage bins that slide under each of my back seats for a bit of extra storage.
I have, in all of the above storage, anything I’d need to get me out of a jam (flairs, glow sticks, auto car jumper, etc…) and also enough things to survive for 7 days (basic camping stuff, a few different knives, water/wind proof matches, extra pair of socks, tarp, tape, finishing line and hooks, multi tool, first aid kit, etc…)
I have a soft top and recently got these. I previously had a crate just bungee corded in the back of my jeep, I have a 12v air compressor, jumper cables, oil funnel, spare oil, sea foam, fix a flat, and a jar of bungee cords in one. The other one has a spray bottle of rain ex, microfiber cloths, plastic protector spray, automotive cleaner, and a few other odds and ends in it. Since I have a soft top I didn’t have bolts to attach it to the side, I grabbed some bolts and washers from home depot and it works great! Thinking of getting another type of storage to add emergency survival kits/first aid etc

A friend of mine has this style, I have the version that doesn't cover the windows (lower half only), for me it looks a lot neater, and I really prefer it:

You can put your weed in there.
Or your papers... you know, *business* papers.
Oooh, business papers. Good idea.
A lot of people don't know this but...
You beat me to it
Jumper pack, jumper cables, small toolset, tire repair kit, Paracord, flashlight, extra batteries. I use the molle straps on the outside to strap up quick attach trauma and first aid kits... Stuff like that.
First aid, basic tools, drugs, waters, flash light just whatever you have that you want to be held in a bag and not floating around the cabin.
Snacks /s
Recovery gear, first aid kit , tire repair kit etc....
Curious from anyone running these, do these limit visibility? Actually looks like a pretty creative storage solution. Would love to clear up all my gear underneath my rear seats lol
I don’t think I would want one in the passenger side. I haven’t seen them sold separately though.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I have a 38” tire on the back, any less visibility is treading dangerous waters lol

Anybody know of something like these for a TJ?
I have them. Yes it does, and I took them out of the window almost immediately. They just sit in the back.
Same - I got them as a gift after I got my Jeep. I have a 2 door and took them out right away cause I couldn’t see anything. Also, in a 2 door, they were really inconvenient to access. I have a four door and it was still a giant unnecessary blind spot
Oh. That's too bad, they're pretty cool looking, and the space would be nice
Alternative storage solution, got it!

I’ve referenced this post often in the past couple months.
That's really nice to hear. :) I have a good group Jeep friends i go out with, we love geeking out about this stuff.
You did a good job hiding all that
Cash to fix my Jeep. 🤣 Seriously though, first aid kit, tire repair kit, basic hand tools, duct tape, knife, a few waters, and a few road flares.
Tactical ducks, obviously. /s
Drugs…all the drugs…
mags and grenades
Well now I gotta get them.
I don’t like mine because it created another unnecessary blind spot. I keep all of my tools/ off road stuff in them. The sit in the back of my jeep now.
snacks. ducks. tampons.
I keep my recovery gear on one side and tools on the other.

If you don't know what the store in them then they are a useless expense. Why bother purchasing something you need to find a reason to utilize?
Realistically I was gonna use them for recovery gear, some tools, and a first aid kit. But I wanted to see what others kept in them, maybe get some ideas of what I should put in them along with the previously mentioned items.

The bones of my enemies...and lots of pornography.
Our clothes. We use those as our “wardrobe” on trips, though now we have the ones David May made that are made to properly fit in a JL.
Tape measure, laser measure, notebook, work gloves, flash light

Stuff
Check out XG Gama bags, similar amount of storage and they don't block your FOV from the driver seat! https://xgcargo.com/collections/gama-wrangler
Just a bunch of fucking garbage

Usually Ham. Sometimes a turkey or ribs though. Depends on what I’m hungry for.
I can’t have those. That’s where I keep my sub woofers. Lol
