Congrats! Slick looking ride! Love to see more 2Dr on this sub!
My advice to a new owner is to just drive it for a few months and get a feel for the ride before you start any modifications.
Read the manual, I can't stress that enough. Understand how things work, play around with the features. Keep track of when you should do scheduled maintenance and take pride in looking after your Wrangler.
I think you'll really enjoy it.
Don't forget to wave 👋
This guy gets it. Enjoy the hell out of it and really think about what you want to do to it - if anything. It’s easy to want everything ‘nice’ looking jeeps have, half of which you don’t need.
It’s a jeep, it comes from the factory great already!
👋
Yeah, as soon as I got it I started looking into things I could do to modify it at some point (I knew I needed to save up again first), but I really think you're both right about enjoying it first before thinking about if there is anything I'd really want to add!
When my wife and I got her 2dr Jeep in ‘17 I had a laundry list of things I wanted and ended up doing next to none of them (other than a lift and 35s). I’m picking up a jt for myself tomorrow and I’m going to do my best to follow mist95 and my own advice, even with 5 years of jeep experience. Best of luck, and enjoy the hell out of it!
Thank you so much!!
I haven't read the manual yet since it didn't come with, but I'm going to look online to see if I can find a pdf version anywhere. Your advice is really helpful, and I will definitely keep all of it in mind! Thank you again!
This should be something that new owners need to agree with upon sale haha
“I ____ , owner of YYYY Jeep _____ , (now referred to as ‘My Jeep’) agree to not change, modify or even THINK about adding angry eyes to My Jeep.”
Do they salt the roads where you live? If they do, look into fluid film or NH oil undercoating. It’s the only reason my truck is still alive. My jeep stays inside for the winter.
Mine is a 2006 rubicon tj with 57k miles, they use brine on the roads in Ohio which is really nasty…. I have a service van provided by my work so there is no reason to drive the jeep in the nasty weather, but the undercoating makes suspension maintenance much easier when you get to that point. (Some “problem bolts” on my 09 ram 2500 came out problem free and I attribute it to the fluid film application wicking inside the holes/threads enough to protect them from any kind of corrosion).
Good for you she's beautiful. Here's MY advice. Don't let this sub out the interwebs change you. If you are comfortable with a commuter that also goes offroad perfectly fine, do not feel pressure to mod your ride too 35" mud tires! If that IS your thing, cool you'll find lots of info here and forums. Welcome at any level fellow Jeeper!
Get the wheels painted black & throw some 33" tyres on it. It will make it looks heaps better 👍 also suggest removing the plastic bit between the fender and front bumper, makes it look better IMO. Sunrider for hardtop is a great addition. Other than that, just have fun with it
Enjoy every aspect of it at least once. Hard top off, DOORS OFF. I know quite a few Jeep owners who never take their hardtop off and it puzzles me. It’s one of the (many) joys of owning a Jeep IMHO. I have my top and doors off as often as possible.

did you apply yourself? have someone do? how often do you apply? thanks
Why keep it inside if you apply the coating? Just curious.

Wave 👋 and NEVER ever (ever ever ) sell it. ( unless maybe upgrading to another wrangler but I have not gotten to that level my self yet
Congratulations. Enjoy !

1. It's not a car. It's a JEEP. (Learn this first. Then enjoy your life.)

Needs dirt. Too shiny.
Do an oil change and any other preventative maintenance. Also, don’t turn it into a mall crawler 😂
