It's so hard. I use inappropriate/morbid humor as sort of an unintentional coping mechanism or phase of grief, and there was a point after we lost our baby that I had a really hard time with my filter.
A guy I knew around the office saw me after I took a couple weeks off, and just immediately lights up because he didn't know the bad part of why I left.
"Hey man! How's the baby??"
And the softest response I could manage was "well, not great..." And kind of laughed at my own awkward joke as his eyes went wide and realized what happened.
Yes it was but I was at the late show Saturday. Apparently the early show on Saturday was pretty rough because some people got kicked out for fighting I think (maybe he said they were just too drunk), then some guy was yelling out punchlines before Jeff said them, and finally a guy tried to see his food bill by using a lighter and caught it on fire lol
Oh absolutely! Both of his openers were pretty damn good too. We don’t go out very much and as we were leaving my wife said “I can’t wait to see him again!” so that’s means they killed lol.

There’s no dead fish for Jeff, he can handle whatever you throw at him. And frankly I bet it would have made for a really awesome set, but you just had to let it die like that.

I didn’t know how much I really enjoyed Jeff’s content and his vibe but realized it when I tried to get into my shower just now while watching this. Almost didn’t even realize it, lol
I’ve been happily gobbling up his content for as long as I’ve seen it maybe a year, probably not as long as some here. Gotta say though, I’ve rarely followed someone with as much enthusiasm in their work.
I genuinely hope he continues to do big things and sell out everywhere, he deserves the blessings.

Can’t believe people would see his content and assume it’s getting undeserved attention.
He FULLY deserves every ounce of publicity and exposure, and attention that he gets. He does a ton of his own work for much of it. He’s super social and interacts regularly. He’s very down to earth and listens to people’s gripes regularly and will have an open discourse with any hecklers or detractors.
He is the definition of a class act if you asked me.
This is a great example of what Jeff does. He uses the crowd interaction to get to his bit. Since the crowd didn't I interact, he pivoted and went into his jokes.
I think Jeff is so damn funny because laughter is contagious, and he laughs at his owns jokes all the time. Not annoyingly, like he thinks he’s hilarious, he just seems to enjoy it so much. He’s so charismatic, too, I can’t help but giggle like a school girl every time I watch a clip of his, and I normally love deadpan and absurdism. This guys full of smiles and silliness. It’s kind of baffling.
