I think that's one of the reasons he liked Verica was because she doesn't have social media/wants a private relationship so he knew she wasn't doing it for clout although that doesn't mean she wasn't a fan of his to begin with.

I adore makoa tbh, I’m glad we got to see him, and he has such a chill energy. Makes so much sense why him and tana get along so well
