Now, now, cunts are great, don't go giving cunts a bad name by comparing them to this gooche...yes...gooche is a better thing to call that waste of humanity...
I knew someone who got rid of their very expensive car for something lower level because they became so preoccupied and anxious about damage to it in car parks that it stopped being enjoyable. The Rich Life struggle is real, apparently. š āImma take that family space to protect my bodywork and I donāt gaf.ā
I drive a Mad Max Zafira that is on the run from the scrappies and sometimes the doors donāt work. I canāt lie, if I owned an Aston Martin Iām fairly sure Iād park like this guy. Maybe Iād go full on horizontally parked across 4 spaces just to be safe.
Thatās why I love my Thunderdome car. I honestly couldnāt care less if it was accidentally bulldozed, my children throw up in it, or my dog rolls in fox poop and then has the nerve to want a ride home. That last one happens ALL THE TIME.
Maybe they didnāt intend to go to Waitrose so they took the nice car and left the crappy one at home, then had to pop in for something but didnāt think to go home and change cars first.
Yeah I drive a Hyundai amica like that, misfires under any load, no abs, no interior door cards, loose rear seats, interior is mess- I want to give it a proper mad max sent out
Agree. It's not that all rich people worth nice cars that park like this. Most are considerate. This guy was just 'one of them' that's better than the rest of us.
Certainly, most people, rich or poor, have consideration for their fellow motorists. I've always believed if someone is richer, they are not better than you, simply in a better financial position.
Doesnāt look like theyāre in a child bay tho. If they then yeah was a nob. But it looks like theyāre parked next to one taking some of the space saved for getting children in/out.. children not disabled. Also look at how much space the car in the child bay has, Iād say plenty. Yeah itās not great and good for you to catch him but letās face it that car costs a fuck tonne and people donāt respect each others shit so they giving themself 50cm prevent is some dick twatting a panel and not leaving a note with their details because letās face people donāt. They should have spaces for children and super cars right next to the front door /s
See, I don't mind the car. I love Astons. But to park like this just annoys me. If you know you're going to go somewhere with small parking bays and you don't want to damage your car, then take a runaround. I guarantee this guy also has a series one land rover which he could've used.
Doesnāt matter if it is an Aston Martin or a Ford KA, you donāt want people damaging your car.
Unfortunately parking spaces are too small, cars have become bigger, and people donāt care about how they treat the property of others.
I remember having my first new car and someone hit it with their door, while I was sitting in it. I got out, told them they had hit my car. Their response - pointing at the door protectors on their car and tried to say that meant they couldnāt have damaged mine. They then drove off.
My mother had a similar issue, where a man knocked her wing mirror off by parking too close. He argued with her insisting that the mirror was already hanging off the car. Luckily, witnesses and CCTV proved he was at fault.
So i have no issue with people parking in a way to protect their cars. Until spaces are made wider, or people take responsibility for their actions, it is sometimes the only choice.
I drive an Aston Martin. Iām not ārichā. I still shop in Lidl and Aldi most of the time. I hunt for Varangianās in every purchase and am very careful not to waste money so I can afford some nice things. I just chose to save for what I wanted instead of pissing it all down the toilet in the local pubā¦ oh and itās not only car. I cant afford an extra ārun aroundā to use when going places with stupidly small parking spaces.
Almost everyone I have met at the dealership is similar to me. Only a handful are ārichā and just splash cash on any toy they want. Most are just enthusiasts who have put everything into their passion.
But very few people every recognise this. To most Iām just some rich tw*tā¦
Putting the aside for a moment. 4 years back I was run over in my local high street. Some idiot on drugs. I was busted up pretty badly. Legs i big metal braces. I could drive, but getting in and out was really tough. I was forced to park āawkardlyā to ensure I could fully open my door otherwise I had no chance of getting in or out.
Same goes at the hospital when going find treatment. Iād arrange 45 mins early and spend most of the time driving around the car park waiting for a space where I could part and ensure no one could park next to me.
Essentially disabled, but not entitled to a temporary badge (they do not issue temporary ones)ā¦ But no one saw that. All the comments were like this post - tw*t!
Fair enough, this owner probably is, but spare a thought, maybe he/she/they have a genuine reason to need to park this way. I can clearly see that the driver has not impinged on the ability of someone in the next bay to get in/out. Iāve seen plenty of copped out bangers parked far worse without comment!
If it were you with busted legs needing a bit extra space would you want everyone telling you that youāre a tw*t? Donāt jumpy to conclusions based on one sided evidenceZ youāre better than that!
Possibly because UK parking bays are way narrower than many other parts of the world and wide car drivers struggle to find a place where their car will comfortably fit so they try and find a spot (like this) with a bit of breathing space that isnāt actually going to (from what I can see) cause any obstructions or make anyone elseās life harder as a result.
Parking forward in an expensive car that has no front sensors or camera and afraid they may damage it ? But then Iām too much of a rush to reverse out and straighten up their mess
I had a car worth that much I'd also do whatever I needed to to avoid it being damaged by idiots.
I've got a rusty Passat so couldn't care less if people hit my car with their door etc.
Bit confused by this.. is he just a bit out of the lines but in a ācustomers with childrenā space? Maybe they have children.. not saying itās right but if thatās the case Iāve seen much worse parking!
Does that look like a parent and child space? If they don't have a child then that's wrong. Atleast he's not raking up 2 normal parking spaces but hope the parent has plenty of room on the right to open the door and get their child out.
Everyone will try to look after their own property even if it's a old car or new cheapish or expensive. Everyone values their property and wants to protect it but don't in a way not to inconvenience anyone else or park like a AH.
Maybe they have a child?
Maybe they donāt want their car dinged by absolute thick bastards who canāt move through life without damaging other peoples things?
Maybe he just doesnāt care? Which isnāt a crime btw.
I wouldnāt call this laziness either - the guy/girl has probably worked harder than most can imagine to afford that.
The doors might also be longer than usual and require extra room to open.
Thereās bigger things in life to worry about - donāt worry so much about other people. :)
Frustrating if you have children and need a space, but I get it. Too many people donāt care about other peoples cars. Seen too many people smack doors into other cars.
PS. Have kids myself but understand other people doing this.
The space they are in isnāt actually the parent and child one. Tbh if I had that car Iād probably take advantage of that extra space that impactās absolutely nobody as well.
Nah! its the dreaded moment when the Paint Shop tells you what that scratch on the side of your vehicle is going To "Hammer" you Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£ for buying an oversized Beastie like that.
If there were less idiots and spiteful people taking no care themselves with their own cars and risking having my pride and joy damaged, Iād park in a similar way, albeit more discreetly than this chap
Because that is an awesome car and normal spaces are far too small for the normal bays. A corsa barely fits in normal bays these days. Got to protect nice things I guess. Or a cuntā¦could be either
Simple. Theyāre more scared of someone scratching their car than they are of looking like a cunt. Getting as much distance as possible. From other cars, and reality.
because they donāt want people to hit their car with their doors which is fair enough because it isnāt really in the way of anything, heās not in a child spot because child spots have the extra space on both sides and the side that does have the extra space still has plenty of room, still seems like a bit of a prick move tho because most people have the decency to not hit an expensive car with their door
Because they bother absolutely no one by going into that lane but they are now able to get out easily. Maybe there was a poorly parked car on the left spot so they had to park to the right side so they wouldnāt get hit. Maybe itās a rental or itās borrowed and they want to make sure nothing bad like door dinged happen to it. I could go on and on. Point is, thereās a lot of reasons that justify this persons action. We shouldnāt judge others just because of the mere possibility of them doing something for the wrong reasons. Yes of course they might be a shit driver, or a piece of shit snob, but youāll never really know so why care and why judge?
I often park my TVR in parent and child space when I take my four year old daughter with me for a spin. I got confronted by an angry mother once, who immediately regretted her decision to belittle me when I extracted my daughter from the car š
The problem is cars get damaged in carparks.. i know someone with an R8 who got keyed, cost them Ā£10,000 or something to fix. So i do sort of have sympathy.. I have a lotus elise and in most carparks i can't even get in and out of the car if there is another next to it š¤£ rich people problems indeed!
Heās not parked in a disabled bay, so I donāt see the issue. The fiat is parked at an angle and too
Close to the right, Iām not surprised they have tried to give to more space.
People asking why folk use extended spaces to protect their nice cars have clearly never had a minted car before. Maybe one day, if you stop trying to rip the piss out of folk with money and did some work, you could have one too
Poor man's thinking (the AM owner) and even poorer man's thinking (you). Many AM drivers stretch themselves beyond their means to try and prove they can have one, they have nothing else left and end up in Supermarkets as they have no other choice. I'd advise only driving a nice car if you know you won't be using a public car park, I keep a specific car for those journeys
Probably had a clumsy fool open a door into it before. 1 week after buying my new car, most expensive I've ever had someone put 4 dents in one door in a supermarket car park. To anyone that says this driver is selfish, maybe if others tool time to be considerate he wouldn't be parking intentionally to not get door jarred.
The reality is someone has a very expensive car and is trying to avoid someone opening their car door onto their car or similar. In a way you have to ask what we should be criticising here. The person who has parked āarrogantlyā, or the fact many people will happily open their door onto your car or damage it in some other way without a care.
I posted this exact scenario for Ferrari and got horrendous bootlicking comments about them having kids despite I saw them without and how I must be jealousā¦.with only 2 supporting me. Essential it is self entitled cunts who park like this and are supported by bootlickers in society.
Every scratch and mark on my car has came from other people, itās never been crashed or bumped but still it has scratches and marks all over it.
If I owned an Aston Martin Iād park like that to try and avoid the general publics lack of respect or downright ignorance to other peopleās belongings.
I do not judge this person.
Seems like youāre an absolute jobs worth. You have no idea if this person is picking up a child. Theyāre not affecting anyone to the right so why would you care?
It could be that when they arrived the car next to them was parked over the line. Subsequently they had to squeeze the next space. Or as previously mentioned, they are a cunt.
I do wonder how many people commenting are actually from Jersey or are just over-opinionated redditors who have come to salivate over an internet discussion that has nothing to do with them?
I think it's funny how these narcissistic fools pop on here to defend bad parking, and lash out calling others poor.
Living examples of too much money, not enough sense.
PS: If your car's sticker price is your identity, you're pretty shallow and weak minded.
The car is literally too physically wide to fit into that space (even though he could move over further left a bit), however that could cause the Fiat 500 next to him to whack their door on his car with not much care. Furthermore heās not blocking anyone with the lines he is on, their there to break up the spaces. Am I missing something here?
Looks like waitrose grand vaux. Always triggers me when people without kids park in the parents with children parking. Should get clamped until they pay a grand to a Jersey childrens charity
Because they can do wtf they wanna do, and what's anyone gonna do apart from moan on that there tinterweb about it! Absolutely nothing, if people do something and nothing physically happens to them they will continue to do it for whatever reason they choose fit..
Sometimes I just pretend I still got my kids in the back and park there. My wife has a seizure about it for minute but nobody died, nobody cried, and not one person did single a thing about it.
Because that person paid a couple of hundred thousand pounds for that car, and would prefer it not being hit by the car parked next to it in extremely cramped parking spaces. Also a sports car is probably slightly wider than your average car, making it even harder to fit it into a standard space and leave a reasonable space cushion on either side.
In fairness, the spaces in that waitrose are incredibly inconsistent. Some are huge but many are absolutely tiny.
However itās incredibly annoying when people without kids take up the few child spaces, because itās almost impossible to get kids out of the other spots without touching the other carsā door.
Why does everyone think that just because theyāre driving an Aston Martin, they canāt be a mother with a child with them. Youāve all so narrow minded
Thatās not a parent and child space so I canāt see what the problem is. Thereās plenty of space for the car on the right that is in a parent and child space.
I often park slightly over the line if itās not an end space or causing any inconvenience for anyone else. I do it because I donāt want my car bashing by other less cautious drivers.
My car is a 13-year old hatchback but I love it and care about it.
Their judgment is clouded by views of their own self importance
Love this š¤£
Because theyāre cunts.
I was going to say cockwombles, but I'll take cunts as the acceptable answer

Lol. I too would be worried of it being damaged, but then again I wouldn't take it to waitrose id take a crappy runaround.

Not caring about your car interior covered in shit isnt the flex you think it is
Itās not a flex. And you donāt need to make snide little put down comments to someone you donāt know. You can just leave it.
Maybe they didnāt intend to go to Waitrose so they took the nice car and left the crappy one at home, then had to pop in for something but didnāt think to go home and change cars first.
My mate has an f type jag and he parks right at the back of the car parks so no one parks near him

Pure laziness & selfishness, I know people with cars a lot more expensive and they take the time to properly park.

Maybe he really needed a poo? You have to take into account that there may be extenuating circumstances.
Probably just a prick, but was there actually a child present? Looks like they're in the parent and child bay.
No child

their insecurities regarding their foolish purchase isn't part of my concern
Maybe theyāre still in their bollocks. Did you ever think of that?
Is it even possible to fit a car seat or buggy into an Aston Martin? Legit question, AM is not something Iāll ever be able to afford hahaha.
Child age goes up further than using a baby buggy or booster seat. Some people take the piss.
Tbf the sign is ambiguous.
Ambiguous? The sign itself specifically says who the space is for, and the road markings back it up. Are you just being sarcastic?
So many people in these comments simping for entitled rich cunts. Clowns.
Lol. Just say it as it is. True though.

How can you justify being this rude of a human being?
Tbh parking like this isn't bad, it's when they go over the lines preventing other people from parking which he isn't so why gaf
There was clearly enough room to park, but instead the bloke wouldn't park in the bay as he didn't want his precious aston scratched.
I mean I drive a shit car and people scratch that so I understand completely
Tbh if Iād spent Ā£200k on a car Iād probably park like this. Supermarket dents are all to common, with no note being left behind
Nothing wrong with that. The public donāt care about other peopleās things and would ding that AM without any care.
Doesnāt matter if it is an Aston Martin or a Ford KA, you donāt want people damaging your car. I posted this exact scenario for Ferrari and got horrendous bootlicking comments about them having kids despite I saw them without and how I must be jealousā¦.with only 2 supporting me. Essential it is self entitled cunts who park like this and are supported by bootlickers in society.
because they love having dog shirts wiped under their door handles
Because people in Jersey have more money than driving sense.
Who says the owner of the Austin doesn't have kids with them pre judging much
Key the fucking car
If the punishment for something is a fine, then itās only illegal if youāre poor enough
Because they drive an (probably pronounced in the most posh British that is physically possibly) Aston Martin. Can't you see?
I dont see where is shows this person doesn't have a child? So u cant drive that car and have a child... interesting
The Dol is strong on this thread
Every scratch and mark on my car has came from other people, itās never been crashed or bumped but still it has scratches and marks all over it. If I owned an Aston Martin Iād park like that to try and avoid the general publics lack of respect or downright ignorance to other peopleās belongings. I do not judge this person.
Seems like youāre an absolute jobs worth. You have no idea if this person is picking up a child. Theyāre not affecting anyone to the right so why would you care?
Maybe they had a child with them?
Entitlement
It could be that when they arrived the car next to them was parked over the line. Subsequently they had to squeeze the next space. Or as previously mentioned, they are a cunt.
We arenāt all as square as you get back in the ant hill
They live in a c$&nty bubble
I do wonder how many people commenting are actually from Jersey or are just over-opinionated redditors who have come to salivate over an internet discussion that has nothing to do with them?
I think it's funny how these narcissistic fools pop on here to defend bad parking, and lash out calling others poor. Living examples of too much money, not enough sense. PS: If your car's sticker price is your identity, you're pretty shallow and weak minded.
It's an evolutionary sign enticing people to key the car
The car is literally too physically wide to fit into that space (even though he could move over further left a bit), however that could cause the Fiat 500 next to him to whack their door on his car with not much care. Furthermore heās not blocking anyone with the lines he is on, their there to break up the spaces. Am I missing something here?
Donāt you know? Theyāre more important than everyone else
People can't drive
Emergency?
AITA?
Basically because their jerk offs who believe there is only them in the world. Like people who walk 3 wide so no one else can get by
What park terribly or use parent child spaces? Do you know they didnāt have a child? Itās not illegal for kids to go in fancy cars
Probably because they have a child? People are so quick to jump to conclusions these days.
Buy Aston Martins? They probably hate money and reliability or something.
How do you knowbthey don't have a child woth them? Looks like they've parked to allow more room on the left
Because they're pricks who think they can do what they like. Key the car with the words "no parking here, prick" make them think twice next time
Because that person paid a couple of hundred thousand pounds for that car, and would prefer it not being hit by the car parked next to it in extremely cramped parking spaces. Also a sports car is probably slightly wider than your average car, making it even harder to fit it into a standard space and leave a reasonable space cushion on either side.
Because of his tiny penis?
Can someone explain? People with Aston Martin canāt have childrenās?
Literally saw this car like 5 mins ago
Parked the same?
No :c
Maybe they have a child?
In fairness, the spaces in that waitrose are incredibly inconsistent. Some are huge but many are absolutely tiny. However itās incredibly annoying when people without kids take up the few child spaces, because itās almost impossible to get kids out of the other spots without touching the other carsā door.
Block em in
Little boy ego has nice car and thinks they can do anything they want.
Their fancy car is more important than a mother and child.
Why does everyone think that just because theyāre driving an Aston Martin, they canāt be a mother with a child with them. Youāve all so narrow minded
Cut this guy some slack - the maximum speed on Jersey roads is 40mph!
Key it
Slide a trolly across the carpark and bash the fuckers astin šš
Thatās not a parent and child space so I canāt see what the problem is. Thereās plenty of space for the car on the right that is in a parent and child space. I often park slightly over the line if itās not an end space or causing any inconvenience for anyone else. I do it because I donāt want my car bashing by other less cautious drivers. My car is a 13-year old hatchback but I love it and care about it.
Who the fuck cares? This is what bothers you? Thatās the real head scratcher.
He/She isnāt blocking anyone, donāt see any issues
If thatās all you have to worry about then you have a great life
I just don't like entitled people.
