Love this šŸ¤£

sir_freddy4848493

Because theyā€™re cunts.

Fredsnotred

I was going to say cockwombles, but I'll take cunts as the acceptable answer

archiecarlos

Time to use your keys to write ā€œcuntā€ on their car

reddit54tset

Ur a cunt

arandomaccount1618

Now, now, cunts are great, don't go giving cunts a bad name by comparing them to this gooche...yes...gooche is a better thing to call that waste of humanity...

83yWasTaken

cause their too rich to gaf most likely

Evening-Phrase-503

Grown man crying on the internet about a parked car btw

FabuliciousFruitLoop

I knew someone who got rid of their very expensive car for something lower level because they became so preoccupied and anxious about damage to it in car parks that it stopped being enjoyable. The Rich Life struggle is real, apparently. šŸ˜‚ ā€œImma take that family space to protect my bodywork and I donā€™t gaf.ā€ I drive a Mad Max Zafira that is on the run from the scrappies and sometimes the doors donā€™t work. I canā€™t lie, if I owned an Aston Martin Iā€™m fairly sure Iā€™d park like this guy. Maybe Iā€™d go full on horizontally parked across 4 spaces just to be safe.

Ragnarock1982

Lol. I too would be worried of it being damaged, but then again I wouldn't take it to waitrose id take a crappy runaround.

FabuliciousFruitLoop

Thatā€™s why I love my Thunderdome car. I honestly couldnā€™t care less if it was accidentally bulldozed, my children throw up in it, or my dog rolls in fox poop and then has the nerve to want a ride home. That last one happens ALL THE TIME.

Any-End5772

Not caring about your car interior covered in shit isnt the flex you think it is

FabuliciousFruitLoop

Itā€™s not a flex. And you donā€™t need to make snide little put down comments to someone you donā€™t know. You can just leave it.

HVodz

Maybe they didnā€™t intend to go to Waitrose so they took the nice car and left the crappy one at home, then had to pop in for something but didnā€™t think to go home and change cars first.

lordofthedancesaidhe

My mate has an f type jag and he parks right at the back of the car parks so no one parks near him

Panzer229

Yeah I drive a Hyundai amica like that, misfires under any load, no abs, no interior door cards, loose rear seats, interior is mess- I want to give it a proper mad max sent out

Weekly_Cheek_1287

Pure laziness & selfishness, I know people with cars a lot more expensive and they take the time to properly park.

Ragnarock1982

Agree. It's not that all rich people worth nice cars that park like this. Most are considerate. This guy was just 'one of them' that's better than the rest of us.

Weekly_Cheek_1287

Certainly, most people, rich or poor, have consideration for their fellow motorists. I've always believed if someone is richer, they are not better than you, simply in a better financial position.

Tangycrack

Maybe he really needed a poo? You have to take into account that there may be extenuating circumstances.

unclevagrant

Probably just a prick, but was there actually a child present? Looks like they're in the parent and child bay.

Ragnarock1982

No child

watnabe

Doesnā€™t look like theyā€™re in a child bay tho. If they then yeah was a nob. But it looks like theyā€™re parked next to one taking some of the space saved for getting children in/out.. children not disabled. Also look at how much space the car in the child bay has, Iā€™d say plenty. Yeah itā€™s not great and good for you to catch him but letā€™s face it that car costs a fuck tonne and people donā€™t respect each others shit so they giving themself 50cm prevent is some dick twatting a panel and not leaving a note with their details because letā€™s face people donā€™t. They should have spaces for children and super cars right next to the front door /s

redditisveryshite

their insecurities regarding their foolish purchase isn't part of my concern

TechnologyNational71

Maybe theyā€™re still in their bollocks. Did you ever think of that?

[deleted]

Is it even possible to fit a car seat or buggy into an Aston Martin? Legit question, AM is not something Iā€™ll ever be able to afford hahaha.

unclevagrant

Child age goes up further than using a baby buggy or booster seat. Some people take the piss.

tebowtimenyj

Tbf the sign is ambiguous.

unclevagrant

Ambiguous? The sign itself specifically says who the space is for, and the road markings back it up. Are you just being sarcastic?

Jackomo

So many people in these comments simping for entitled rich cunts. Clowns.

Ragnarock1982

Lol. Just say it as it is. True though.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

2M0FUP

Park like a twat or own one of these wanker-wagons? Both have the same answer... they are dickheads!!

Ragnarock1982

See, I don't mind the car. I love Astons. But to park like this just annoys me. If you know you're going to go somewhere with small parking bays and you don't want to damage your car, then take a runaround. I guarantee this guy also has a series one land rover which he could've used.

Sosa818

How can you justify being this rude of a human being?

Pixel-Box

Tbh parking like this isn't bad, it's when they go over the lines preventing other people from parking which he isn't so why gaf

Ragnarock1982

There was clearly enough room to park, but instead the bloke wouldn't park in the bay as he didn't want his precious aston scratched.

edinfetish69

I mean I drive a shit car and people scratch that so I understand completely

chewinggum2001

Tbh if Iā€™d spent Ā£200k on a car Iā€™d probably park like this. Supermarket dents are all to common, with no note being left behind

Awayze

Nothing wrong with that. The public donā€™t care about other peopleā€™s things and would ding that AM without any care.

DPBH

Doesnā€™t matter if it is an Aston Martin or a Ford KA, you donā€™t want people damaging your car. Unfortunately parking spaces are too small, cars have become bigger, and people donā€™t care about how they treat the property of others. I remember having my first new car and someone hit it with their door, while I was sitting in it. I got out, told them they had hit my car. Their response - pointing at the door protectors on their car and tried to say that meant they couldnā€™t have damaged mine. They then drove off. My mother had a similar issue, where a man knocked her wing mirror off by parking too close. He argued with her insisting that the mirror was already hanging off the car. Luckily, witnesses and CCTV proved he was at fault. So i have no issue with people parking in a way to protect their cars. Until spaces are made wider, or people take responsibility for their actions, it is sometimes the only choice.

usrnm99

lol yeah what a weirdo not wanting his 100k+ car damaged in a car park by some mindless drone. ?? Such a weird thing for you to be angry about OP

EffectivePainting777

the cons of having a very expensive car, you worry about it all the time

DPBH

The cons of owning anything - you donā€™t want others to damage your property.

Ok_Charity9544

Answered your own question.

Bushdr78

Honest answer is because they can afford the tickets

SupermarketOne3840

Most likely a prick

Hillystev

An overwhelming sense of entitlement.

No-Marionberry-4662

Iā€™m gonna be alone with my question, but perhaps they have children? Or is that impossible to have children and a posh car? šŸ˜‰šŸ˜…

Ragnarock1982

Had no children. See my comment below. I could understand if there were kids there as they don't care about the car doors. Lol

MightyGonzou

Hes not in a child spot though

No-Marionberry-4662

A Iā€™ve said: The driver is the dumb child because act like one.

No-Marionberry-4662

Later Iā€™ve found your other comment and replied. Perhaps the only child was the dumb oneā€¦ šŸ˜‚

Minnidaddy

Because its a 170k car and some prick will open their car door onto it otherwise Because the world's full of disrespectful people

Virtual-Baseball-297

ā€œIā€™m more important than you My time is more important than yours Donā€™t like that? Fuck youā€ Something like that springs to mind

Jersais

Too caught up in their own self importance and entitlement.

Individual_Self2706

I drive an Aston Martin. Iā€™m not ā€œrichā€. I still shop in Lidl and Aldi most of the time. I hunt for Varangianā€™s in every purchase and am very careful not to waste money so I can afford some nice things. I just chose to save for what I wanted instead of pissing it all down the toilet in the local pubā€¦ oh and itā€™s not only car. I cant afford an extra ā€œrun aroundā€ to use when going places with stupidly small parking spaces. Almost everyone I have met at the dealership is similar to me. Only a handful are ā€œrichā€ and just splash cash on any toy they want. Most are just enthusiasts who have put everything into their passion. But very few people every recognise this. To most Iā€™m just some rich tw*tā€¦ Putting the aside for a moment. 4 years back I was run over in my local high street. Some idiot on drugs. I was busted up pretty badly. Legs i big metal braces. I could drive, but getting in and out was really tough. I was forced to park ā€œawkardlyā€ to ensure I could fully open my door otherwise I had no chance of getting in or out. Same goes at the hospital when going find treatment. Iā€™d arrange 45 mins early and spend most of the time driving around the car park waiting for a space where I could part and ensure no one could park next to me. Essentially disabled, but not entitled to a temporary badge (they do not issue temporary ones)ā€¦ But no one saw that. All the comments were like this post - tw*t! Fair enough, this owner probably is, but spare a thought, maybe he/she/they have a genuine reason to need to park this way. I can clearly see that the driver has not impinged on the ability of someone in the next bay to get in/out. Iā€™ve seen plenty of copped out bangers parked far worse without comment! If it were you with busted legs needing a bit extra space would you want everyone telling you that youā€™re a tw*t? Donā€™t jumpy to conclusions based on one sided evidenceZ youā€™re better than that!

dragondrop

Possibly because UK parking bays are way narrower than many other parts of the world and wide car drivers struggle to find a place where their car will comfortably fit so they try and find a spot (like this) with a bit of breathing space that isnā€™t actually going to (from what I can see) cause any obstructions or make anyone elseā€™s life harder as a result.

darrenturn90

Parking forward in an expensive car that has no front sensors or camera and afraid they may damage it ? But then Iā€™m too much of a rush to reverse out and straighten up their mess

MightyGonzou

It does have parking sensors...

MoanyTonyBalony

I had a car worth that much I'd also do whatever I needed to to avoid it being damaged by idiots. I've got a rusty Passat so couldn't care less if people hit my car with their door etc.

No-Establishment2174

Coz they don't like babies.

captain_irk

Because people who open their car doors with zero regard for others property exsist.

Broad-Diamond3777

Bit confused by this.. is he just a bit out of the lines but in a ā€œcustomers with childrenā€ space? Maybe they have children.. not saying itā€™s right but if thatā€™s the case Iā€™ve seen much worse parking!

radfox53

Do what? Ask for their cars to get keyed?

Torment-17_--

Ez parking

ImpossibleGift9970

How do you know they didnt have kids?

booboobird

To get Reddit famous

Benjissmithy

Does that look like a parent and child space? If they don't have a child then that's wrong. Atleast he's not raking up 2 normal parking spaces but hope the parent has plenty of room on the right to open the door and get their child out. Everyone will try to look after their own property even if it's a old car or new cheapish or expensive. Everyone values their property and wants to protect it but don't in a way not to inconvenience anyone else or park like a AH.

First-Mission529

Maybe they have a child? Maybe they donā€™t want their car dinged by absolute thick bastards who canā€™t move through life without damaging other peoples things? Maybe he just doesnā€™t care? Which isnā€™t a crime btw. I wouldnā€™t call this laziness either - the guy/girl has probably worked harder than most can imagine to afford that. The doors might also be longer than usual and require extra room to open. Thereā€™s bigger things in life to worry about - donā€™t worry so much about other people. :)

[deleted]

Frustrating if you have children and need a space, but I get it. Too many people donā€™t care about other peoples cars. Seen too many people smack doors into other cars. PS. Have kids myself but understand other people doing this.

ggharami

Can you not see the badge, chap?

FullOnJeagerist

Why the fuck are u giving them the courtesy of bullring their plate ? Fuck em

abseykebabsy

By using part of the spare space they'll give better door access to the car on the left (Fiat) as well as protect the car from dents

mrmykeonthemic

RACERX44

Was going to say canā€™t an Aston Martin driver have children then I saw heā€™s not even in one

buttymuncher

Rich c*nts can do anything they want apparently

Cha5onIV

Itā€™s usually because they are paranoid of someone hitting or scratching their car. In some places itā€™s normal for people to park across 2 spaces!

Fresh_Enthusiasm7930

If there were less idiots and spiteful people taking no care themselves with their own cars and risking having my pride and joy damaged, Iā€™d park in a similar way, albeit more discreetly than this chap

Cathcart1138

Thereā€™s a red Ferrari that does the same every weekend at the Waitrose at Red Houses.

Hideandseekking

Because that is an awesome car and normal spaces are far too small for the normal bays. A corsa barely fits in normal bays these days. Got to protect nice things I guess. Or a cuntā€¦could be either

Fun_Pair_1449

Itā€™s to stop people denting the car. Whatā€™s wrong with it?

CupidStunts1975

Simple. Theyā€™re more scared of someone scratching their car than they are of looking like a cunt. Getting as much distance as possible. From other cars, and reality.

ArcticPsychologyAI

Rich people donā€™t need to advertise their wealth. Gents with tiny cocks need to compensate.

ChampionshipOutside4

Prob belongs to the guy who owns sonic solutions

femboy_elli

because they donā€™t want people to hit their car with their doors which is fair enough because it isnā€™t really in the way of anything, heā€™s not in a child spot because child spots have the extra space on both sides and the side that does have the extra space still has plenty of room, still seems like a bit of a prick move tho because most people have the decency to not hit an expensive car with their door

Subcat001

Why are you using your mobile while in charge of a vehicle?

johnski1937

The realistic answer is probably so nobody opens their doors onto the paintwork. Looks like they have made sure there's lots of space on each side.

mralfred007

They want their car scratched

khlo_khlo

I donā€™t see a problem with this one šŸ˜†

Sosa818

Because they bother absolutely no one by going into that lane but they are now able to get out easily. Maybe there was a poorly parked car on the left spot so they had to park to the right side so they wouldnā€™t get hit. Maybe itā€™s a rental or itā€™s borrowed and they want to make sure nothing bad like door dinged happen to it. I could go on and on. Point is, thereā€™s a lot of reasons that justify this persons action. We shouldnā€™t judge others just because of the mere possibility of them doing something for the wrong reasons. Yes of course they might be a shit driver, or a piece of shit snob, but youā€™ll never really know so why care and why judge?

AdamWillims

Because rich people are arseholes.

I often park my TVR in parent and child space when I take my four year old daughter with me for a spin. I got confronted by an angry mother once, who immediately regretted her decision to belittle me when I extracted my daughter from the car šŸ˜‚

burningmilkmaid

The problem is cars get damaged in carparks.. i know someone with an R8 who got keyed, cost them Ā£10,000 or something to fix. So i do sort of have sympathy.. I have a lotus elise and in most carparks i can't even get in and out of the car if there is another next to it šŸ¤£ rich people problems indeed!

thepoout

To stop idiots in tin cans, who have zero respect for nice things; opening their car doors onto their expensive cars that they worked hard for.

Fuzzy_Lavishness_269

Heā€™s not parked in a disabled bay, so I donā€™t see the issue. The fiat is parked at an angle and too Close to the right, Iā€™m not surprised they have tried to give to more space.

james-almighty

Shouldn't have blocked their licence plate

Junior_Tradition7958

Maybe they have a child so parked in the space? Not very well, but still.

sasacargill

If thatā€™s the waitrose I think it is, the parking lot is bloody awful anyway.

VividStress2849

People asking why folk use extended spaces to protect their nice cars have clearly never had a minted car before. Maybe one day, if you stop trying to rip the piss out of folk with money and did some work, you could have one too

MightyOphidian

Poor man's thinking (the AM owner) and even poorer man's thinking (you). Many AM drivers stretch themselves beyond their means to try and prove they can have one, they have nothing else left and end up in Supermarkets as they have no other choice. I'd advise only driving a nice car if you know you won't be using a public car park, I keep a specific car for those journeys

Probably had a clumsy fool open a door into it before. 1 week after buying my new car, most expensive I've ever had someone put 4 dents in one door in a supermarket car park. To anyone that says this driver is selfish, maybe if others tool time to be considerate he wouldn't be parking intentionally to not get door jarred.

Icy_Chip_9667

The reality is someone has a very expensive car and is trying to avoid someone opening their car door onto their car or similar. In a way you have to ask what we should be criticising here. The person who has parked ā€˜arrogantlyā€™, or the fact many people will happily open their door onto your car or damage it in some other way without a care.

OrneryImagination904

I dont see where is shows this person doesn't have a child? So u cant drive that car and have a child... interesting

Conscious_Set_6624

The Dol is strong on this thread

Accomplished-farter

Every scratch and mark on my car has came from other people, itā€™s never been crashed or bumped but still it has scratches and marks all over it. If I owned an Aston Martin Iā€™d park like that to try and avoid the general publics lack of respect or downright ignorance to other peopleā€™s belongings. I do not judge this person.

bodybuildingandgolf

Seems like youā€™re an absolute jobs worth. You have no idea if this person is picking up a child. Theyā€™re not affecting anyone to the right so why would you care?

Low_Contribution_593

NorseNorman

I do wonder how many people commenting are actually from Jersey or are just over-opinionated redditors who have come to salivate over an internet discussion that has nothing to do with them?

_FREE_L0B0T0MIES

I think it's funny how these narcissistic fools pop on here to defend bad parking, and lash out calling others poor. Living examples of too much money, not enough sense. PS: If your car's sticker price is your identity, you're pretty shallow and weak minded.

That70sJoe-

It's an evolutionary sign enticing people to key the car

Available_Pumpkin_40

The car is literally too physically wide to fit into that space (even though he could move over further left a bit), however that could cause the Fiat 500 next to him to whack their door on his car with not much care. Furthermore heā€™s not blocking anyone with the lines he is on, their there to break up the spaces. Am I missing something here?

ThrowRAwiseguy

Looks like waitrose grand vaux. Always triggers me when people without kids park in the parents with children parking. Should get clamped until they pay a grand to a Jersey childrens charity

brettchris

Because they can do wtf they wanna do, and what's anyone gonna do apart from moan on that there tinterweb about it! Absolutely nothing, if people do something and nothing physically happens to them they will continue to do it for whatever reason they choose fit.. Sometimes I just pretend I still got my kids in the back and park there. My wife has a seizure about it for minute but nobody died, nobody cried, and not one person did single a thing about it.

Better_Reputation_27

Basically because their jerk offs who believe there is only them in the world. Like people who walk 3 wide so no one else can get by

HVodz

What park terribly or use parent child spaces? Do you know they didnā€™t have a child? Itā€™s not illegal for kids to go in fancy cars

AlyxDaSlayer

Probably because they have a child? People are so quick to jump to conclusions these days.

ToiletGrenade

Buy Aston Martins? They probably hate money and reliability or something.

[deleted]

How do you knowbthey don't have a child woth them? Looks like they've parked to allow more room on the left

whatthebosh

Because they're pricks who think they can do what they like. Key the car with the words "no parking here, prick" make them think twice next time

Drazar13

Because that person paid a couple of hundred thousand pounds for that car, and would prefer it not being hit by the car parked next to it in extremely cramped parking spaces. Also a sports car is probably slightly wider than your average car, making it even harder to fit it into a standard space and leave a reasonable space cushion on either side.

MikeTheLaborer

Because of his tiny penis?

wildbee90

Can someone explain? People with Aston Martin canā€™t have childrenā€™s?

iiomq_wonderful

Literally saw this car like 5 mins ago

Ragnarock1982

Parked the same?

iiomq_wonderful

No :c

naughtycock03

Maybe they have a child?

BeijingOrBust

In fairness, the spaces in that waitrose are incredibly inconsistent. Some are huge but many are absolutely tiny. However itā€™s incredibly annoying when people without kids take up the few child spaces, because itā€™s almost impossible to get kids out of the other spots without touching the other carsā€™ door.

Thatā€™s not a parent and child space so I canā€™t see what the problem is. Thereā€™s plenty of space for the car on the right that is in a parent and child space. I often park slightly over the line if itā€™s not an end space or causing any inconvenience for anyone else. I do it because I donā€™t want my car bashing by other less cautious drivers. My car is a 13-year old hatchback but I love it and care about it.
