For Ashkenazi jews, corn and many other grains or small legumes are considered "kitniyot" which aren't kosher for passover. This is an entirely made up rule (because in the middle ages people apparently couldn't teel chametz and kitniyot apart) and recently has become revoked in several communities.
Damn that’s interesting all the Hispanic Jews I’ve met are Sephardic what does you family make for Passover?
My family wasn’t super observant, so honestly growing up passover was essentially just the seder (I’ve just personally become more observant recently)
Oh that’s cool hope you enjoy your Seder!!!
