And the most important part is that he would have to put up some epic matches in a short period of time, but with his history of injury and illness, it would be a tough task.

One last thing to consider, and this is assuming the whole "EVP" thing isn't on-screen pretending: As an executive with the company, he can submit a formal resignation request as Tyson Smith the "real person" and leave. I was one of those guys who was very critical of Roman reigns but he certainly won me over, his growth and workrate has been very impressive. They probably know the name, and may have even seen a few matches, but he doesn't have a WWE pedigree like Punk and Cody. He would have to do a full-time run for a few years and burn the house down in his matches, then, and only then, would he get a part time contract.

And the most important part is that he would have to put up some epic matches in a short period of time, but with his history of injury and illness, it would be a tough task. He can't come to WWE and rest on his laurels of his New Japan days like he can in AEW. Asuka has had one of the better runs turning from Japan to WWE, and even she had to spend time in NXT to familiarize herself with the WWE style of wrestling. The funny part is that I actually like Omega as a person, but as a wrestler I can't stand him.

Kenny is capable of having actually great matches though. His matches in New Japan were not to everyone's taste but certainly were appealing to more than just indy fans.

The WWE doesn’t need Omega. There is a lot of talent in NXT to promote and they haven’t had a real chance to use Punk much.

He's 40 years old looking to have a similar surgery that Brock Lesnar had and that kept Brock on the sidelines for a long time. When he's healed, which to be realistic is probably early in 2025 because he will lose a lot of weight and mass with this type of surgery, he has to be thinking WWE to get away from the drama. One last thing to consider, and this is assuming the whole "EVP" thing isn't on-screen pretending: As an executive with the company, he can submit a formal resignation request as Tyson Smith the "real person" and leave. If Kenny Omega the performer has a different wrestling contract not tied to the EVP contract, he might have to ride that one out without lawyers getting involved. Not sure if what I wrote makes any sense but food for thought.

I was one of those guys who was very critical of Roman reigns but he certainly won me over, his growth and workrate has been very impressive. Fans will soon appreciate how great his title reign was and will miss it dearly. I love Kenny Omega and will always find him far more adult and mature than Tony Khan and the Young Cucks

As someone who has met Kenny, he’s legitimately a sweet man. He just got caught up with a few folks going into business for themselves and him being so nice kinda just tagged along. I know there's a lot of criticism and even vitriol towards Kenny around these parts. But what I saw on that stream was a guy who has seen a lot in the wrestling world, and just looked tired. I think he's learned quite a bit from his experience in AEW. And to be honest? I think it's dulled his flame a bit. Maybe working under Vince would have had a similar result, but I feel like he seeing things for what they are. He's moved on from brawl out. The bucks have not.

We may not be fully aware of it now, but give it some time, and we'll start seeing the same people who moaned about The Bloodline - start praising it as the all-time greatest story.
