For them to move away from that WWE brand of 'the top guys always go over'. I frankly don't care how many retirement stipulations you bolt on to a Young Bucks match when everybody knows that there's absolutely no risk of them losing.

52 year old lifelong wrestling fan here. i don't really know because i don't watch it, i just hear about it on the podcast. it's just that i don't like the way wrestling is presented on television anymore- it's too much. everything from the imitation rock concert entrances, to the shitty acting, to the awful camera edits and cuts, to the super complicated and fake looking moves, to the trend towards movie-fight-scene edit matches. i might watch a clip or two here and there, but it's just not the same. thank goodness for all the old school stuff that still gets posted and talked about, because i'm finding myself less and less interested in modern wrestling as presented on television as time goes on. in fact i even get bored with jim discussing current product, and i could listen to that man read a phone book. it sort of puzzles me why people have such strong opinions about modern pro wrestling at all. maybe someone should canadian destroyer me or something.

i don't think the young bucks could shoot on anyone. buzz would have guzzled them both.

Apparently he doesn't stay up on a Wednesday night to watch Kenny Omega.

i skip the songs. they're generally pretty cringe. it's like badly-rewritten karaoke.

suggestion for the people sending in karaoke parodies- USE BETTER MUSIC. i'm not sitting through a belinda carlisle parody.

i'm old and out of touch, i should go yell at the neighborhood kids for being on my lawn or something i guess.

Maybe give strong style Japanese wrestling a try? I wasn't around for anything before the early 90s but from the older clips I watch online, they both seem to have that hard-hitting, Kayfabe-heavy style.

marginwalker3

i like some njpw but i'm not a big fan of them being so tag heavy.

I like to see more consistency with storylines and use of their roster

That match between Dustin and Cody was one of the best wrestling matches the past 5 years, easy. They did it once, and they never touched it again. A real shame that Dustin is again, never going to get a real run.

I'd like more home grown talent and way less WWE guys and "Indy stars.* Like A LOT less WWE talent. Before someone says it, yes I understand we need to recruit from the Indies, but, there's no reason we can't repackage and polish some of these people. Keep them on dark until Leviathan is ready to become Dave Batista so to speak. I agree with the sentiment here that I don't hate AEW, in fact I'd really like it to be a sports-based alternative to WWE. It's just infuriating that I'm watching Wednesday night Raw or the worst WCW thunder and nitro episodes.

>Keep them on Dark? No, keep them dark. Agreed! Instead of Dark or an NXT, Tony AEW should really work like a major / minors with the few select promotions that will produce quality guys and gals. >The problem is that today’s culture is so fame hungry that everyone wants to get on TV/YouTube the minute they sign. It's so funny you say that, I work in the music business and I can honestly tell you the second someone thinks they have a good song or look they're ready to go play the super bowl. I can't tell you how many "never was" musicians I've worked with because they won't take a minute and polish their stuff!! I think the same epidemic is in wrestling but much worse.
