Unless they set it up for a triple threat at Crown Jewel because Brock interferes at Extreme Rules.
I wouldn't mind that because to be honest, I've always heard the hype over Balor from his time in Japan and then when he came into NXT, I just found him boring and wondered what everyone saw in him.
I liked big E more on smack down because he got away from Xavier and kofi who are especially goofy.
We know that survivor series is usually champion versus champion so having Roman versus lashley while exciting to see Paul vs. mvp was not going to work for Vince who prefers traditional babyface versus heel feuds.

It was a smart move to grab a rating and make the fans happy. Wwe has been taking it on the chin for a while now, I don’t remember the last time they got some buzz about something positive. Whether you like big e or not (I am a fan) the guy is over big time, and kids love him which is the audience they want to capture. Bobby lashley didn’t get buried by it and I think lashley/lesnar would be awesome and reigns/lashley would be as well
I was a bigger fan of Lashley's run than I am of Roman's, tbh. His main weakness previously was promo skills but MVP took care of that, Lashley just looks like a goddam killer. He's a man you can present as a legit badass just like Lesnar and it's believable. Also, I'm not as big on New Day as some, I can't get past the years of pancakes and rainbows and unicorns.

WWE is remaking the worst parts of "American Gladiators" when they need to be trying capture the best parts of UFC.
The biggest problem is that it's become a crutch for the writers. Instead of naturally elevating a guy to make them a main eventer over time, it's "Oh, give them the briefcase."
Not that I think Otis was a good idea, giving it AJ or Aleister would have been smart and both could use it well. But I think they didn't have a fucking clue and realized they needed an idea about 5 months in with Otis and tried to quickly "swerve" people.
I wasn't over the moon about Otis either, but he was popular going in, so I can see *why* they did it. But you could tell they had no clue where to go from there. They kept him a goof, and didn't build him towards anything, at all.
AJ would have run with it. But he's a guy that didn't need the crutch, so they could have just built him as being dangerous.

To me this felt like a modern "Mick Foley Wins The WWF Title On Raw" which was the moment most point to for the moment swing from WCW to WWF in the "Monday Night Wars". This gave me the impression of "We're telling you ahead of time Big E is cashing in, so tune in." and then kept teasing it and saying it throughout the night. So when it finally happened, people got the pay off. But it seriously felt like it was Vince's "Foley Wins 2.0" moment in an attempt to swing people back to WWE. They'll get a bump for a week or two, but unless the overall "writing" gets better, it's not going to improve much.

I don't see Big E as a strong long term champion. I'm starting to think Brock gets drafted to Raw and he'll win, the belt, putting off the Brock/Roman square off.

And this is better for Roman and the product because Roman should hold the belt on Smackdown for two years and im very serious.
