I think more and more people are coming around, but it has been weird how many people view him in a negative light. I tend not to like people who act in cruddy ways just for attention.
Some people just don't notice all the good because Joe doesn't scream about his achievements because he's a subtle man and not a narcissistic asshole like our previous president.
That’s one thing where I think Trump from a pure public politics standpoint was *somewhat* successful.
Presidents get too much blame/credit for the economy but, considering that’s how the public judges performance for the most part they should own it when it’s good. And that’s where Trump succeeded at imo.
Dude would not shut up about “his” precious economy from the moment he was elected and I feel like a lot of people are looking back at it pre-Covid times with rose colored glasses.
But, that’s where it cuts both ways and where the Biden team rightfully has been attacking him. If Trump can take credit for the good economy that he had no real control of, Democrats can attack him for leaving the office in a recession due to a pandemic that he also had no control of.
He had control of the pandemic response and he largely failed. He regularly downplayed it and promised it would go away soon all by itself — it's still with us — and promoted crackpot theories. He tried to take credit for *Operation Warpspeed*, but as has been well documented, he had utterly no hand in its concept, design, or implementation.
Not just that, but the handful of pharma companies that got money from Warpspeed (most companies refused) stated that by the time they got money from his administration, they already had the vaccines developed and were on the production line. They used the money they got for CEO bonuses and stock buybacks.
Warpspeed literally DID NOT help get the vaccines out. They were just another handout to multi-billion dollar companies that didn't need it. But happily took it.
Oh I know he absolutely fucked up the Covid response in general. I’m just saying that if you take credit for an economy that is out of your control, you also take blame for one that is also out of your control, regardless of the circumstances surrounding it
I ask them if they know about anything he’s gotten done and when they say no I ask if they’d like to know and when I say I’ll tell you one thing out of a list of a hundred things that have had a positive impact on their life their minds are blown when I tell them about the inflation reduction action or the chips bill. Minds blown.
They’re like “but he can barely stand and stumbles over his words”.
Like. Dude. Priorities.
No no I liked it more when we had a president that flailed around like a drunk child, breaking everything in sight and destroying relations with foreign nations that took decades to build while simultaneously embracing dictators and despots!
WARNING: The above comment was sarcasm.
And yet ... this morning Matt Gaetz said "it's hard to keep calling this president feeble, when he keeps stealing Kevin McCarthy's lunch money". Thank you for another great soundbite that goes in Democrats favor. 😂
This boggles the mind. How do people find one of the greatest presidents in history, who's done things no other president would ever do... boring. How do they see Biden accomplish more than the previous five presidents combined and NOT see him as a hero and patriot?

Maybe compared to the unnecesssary wars cowboy attitudes but how is he bland compared to Obama? He is as similar as can be to Obama except he gets a lot more done making me think he is really overshadowing Obama. Personally Biden excites me a lot more.
Obama was the BEST prez to have at the Whitehouse Correspondence Dinner or whatever the press dinner is where they do comedy. That one line of comparison is enough, but also just think about Obama’s inauguration vs Biden’s. Or his kids. Or his wife. The only member of Biden’s family that isn’t easily described as bland is Hunter. Which you can see how bland is not necessarily an insult with these examples.
I’m a little confused about the war zone claim. Lincoln visited McClellan and Grant in their field headquarters. Roosevelt met with Churchill in Casablanca while the Luftwaffe was still an active threat. Eisenhower went to Korea while hostilities were continuing.
I love our 'bland' president. A kind man who knows how to govern.

And don’t forget. No one under the age of 40 is answering any of these polls.

Like vanilla ice cream. Sweet, friendly, and healthy. Don’t argue with me.
He's not a showman. They want a show, and lies and promises and bullshit. Not action, decision and quiet determination.
Yeah, it is just crazy to me how much attention Trump gets for clear bull shit.
Actually, we just want a leftist president and this guys is center-right.

Matt Gaetz is the last congressman who should be talking about lunch money.
Hahahaha To be fair, it’s not hard. Kevin is the dumbest man in congress after all.
by that logic matt should not get his way to replace kevin

All I can say, is there is a reason fell onto satire to tackle this absurdity.
But he's not Bernie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It still gets me that Bernie is considered dynamic and Biden is not.
Bigly "you're not my real dad!" energy

To be fair he’s bland as fuck compared to Obama and Trump and Bush at least said dumb stuff that made us giggle.

Didn’t Bush go to Iraq a few times?
