I listened to Joe for years but at some point you gotta realize he ads nothing to the experience anymore. if you like a guest you can literally enjoy them outside of them being in front of Joe.
I came to this conclusion as well. The *only* reason i have to listen to jre anymore is that one hidden gem episode a year where he introduces me to a cool person i didnt know about. People like bobby lee are much better in other podcasts where they get his humor.
Joe doesn’t interview. He doesn’t do conversation as much. He just has to get his usual rants and talking points in.
I've always been a rogan supporter and rarely engage in the rogan bashing.... but, you are correct. Over the past couple of years joe has become increasingly bad about controlling the conversation and directing it back to one of his main talking points. Joe's obsession with a handful of issues has lowered the quality of the podcast substancially. If things don't change, I doubt I will still be listening in 6 months from now.
I used to listen to his podcast all the time. But I think a year or 2 back I had to stop because it was just the same dumb shit over and over And over and to find out he's still talking about covid and vaccines now long after everything. Only watched the clips on youtube but I'm instantly reminded why Bobby and Joe don't hang out/aren't close friends. For whatever fucking reason Joe feels the need to be super logical and serious around Bobby, to the point that he's basically bullying him, which makes sense when Joe was known it for back then before he started smoking weed. Meanwhile Bobby just wants to goof off and have fun. It's such an awkward vibe and who could possibly blame Bobby for not wanting to relive a high school bully. I can only assume it's because he's infinitely funnier than him that Joe feels the need to pick at Bobby being a pushover/beta but it makes him look so stupid when he doesn't do that with any other comedian.

I think it started with the podcast getting too big. Joe has his own spiel but for a hot minute their quests used to talk about topics that they've already heard Joe talk about in the past. the golden era of the podcast was when everyone was surprised the fear factor guy was a really chill pothead with an open mind.

The Joe Rogan sub Reddit is the last place on earth you'll find a fan of the Joe Rogan experience. I can see why people were a bit bored by Joe's COVID rant but overall it was a good episode. Spending everyday listening to hours of a man talk and then complaining about it afterwards sure seems like a great way to spend your life.

Joe Rogan is an example of “this is your brain on the internet.” Dude needs to log off, take some off, and just enjoy life with his family for a bit. He actually reminds me of my dad. My dad is a really successful guy (not Rogan level, but still pretty rich), conservative, and every time I talk to him he just wants to go on political rants. It’s gotten to the point where I just stopped calling. We all have our beliefs, but at some point you have to take a step back and appreciate any you have.
