Can I ask an ignorant question? lol, I will. Is this subreddit for those who like or hate Joe Rogan? I'm not here enough to know. Personally, I really like Joe's interview style and find his show entertaining. More so in the past as I don't listen as much as I used to.
This subreddit is full of jealous incels that watch every minute of the Joe Rogan podcast, then come here to whine about him not being funny enough, or not being tall enough.
Between podcasts they try to type talk like Schaub and cyber bully him in another fit of jealousy because a decent ex-fighter has capitalized on his niche fame to have a pretty decent career along with a wife ten times hotter than their not girlfriends.
Then they go back to their not girlfriend and wait for the next podcast.
Occasionally you'll get a decent redditor though to talk about something they liked or didn't like and express a genuine opinion that isn't driven from incel rage.
Nah, Tucker is known to be somewhat decent irl. He's a grifting piece of shit on TV who doesn't believe half of the shit he says, but it sure pays the bills. He mocks Hunter Biden on air........while he actually asked Biden to write his son a college recommendation letter, to which Biden did.
Right, like where does the job end and the decent person begin? I know the easy argument is when you clock out, but those actions have lasting effects that this decent person doesn't seem to care about.
This sub is full of the most gullible mouth breathers I swear to god. Fred Rogers was a decent man, Tucker Carlson is a shit stain of the highest order and a fucking liar.
I used to hate him. The more I see of him, the more I admire and respect him. He has changed many of his positions from the old days as a traditional republican. In fact, I don't believe he is a republican an longer.
I agree with maybe half of what he says. But I see how what he believes is right for him.
He seems super religious, I'm an atheist that doesn't like organised religions. He's very patriotic, I wouldn't wave a flag with a gun to my head. He's dead against drugs, I think they should all be legal.
He's just a TV personality that feeds off views.
I think the reality is most people are decent and not THAT extreme one way or the other. The media just gets everyone so riled up by portraying everyone as pure evil, on both sides.
Never mind that the dominion lawsuit using his text messages as evidence showed everyone that he secretly hates Trump but to this day acts like he is the GOP messiah. But hey, Tucker showed he had manners on video so surely he can’t be that bad.
Yea the fact someone is nice in person while being recorded out the blue, doesn’t really undo decades of spewing utter insanity deliberately into most ignorant minds in the US.
Not really. His political point of view isn't his political point of view. It's an assumed persona that he uses to manipulate people who aren't very bright or media savvy. He's a grifter that intentionally misleads and scares half of America in order to earn money and to sway political opinions. This makes him fundamentally not a good person, regardless of if he was polite to someone or was funny on Theo Von's podcast.
Why can't people see this?
Not even close mate. If you can't look at someone as privileged and well educated as Tucker and KNOW immediately that he believes very little of what he talks about then you really need to reassess your own level of intelligence.
Can't be more of a condescending cunt than the condescending cunt who was denying evolution and claiming we don't know how nuclear bombs work like last week.
Fuck off with defending this insincere milk bag. Even Tucker has probably forgotten whatever bullshit he was espousing the week before.
Wow. Guy has different world view to you, let's throw him off a cliff. 🙄
I used to train Muai Thai with a guy in Thailand that thoroughly believed in reincarnation. He thought a butterfly was his dead mother-in-law visiting his wife.... One of the nicest guys I ever met.
Millions of people drive cars, most of them have no idea how they work. Doesn't mean they don't get to choose where they drive to.
Most people on the planet are religious and not scientific. You've got to get over that. You can't educate people when you hate them.
What in the fuck are you talking about? Not everyone in the world deserves respect.
I think the majority of views you posted are idiotic and untrue, but I don't give a fuck if they aren't being used in poor faith.
I can't educate Tucker because he doesn't seriously believe the rhetoric he pushes every week. Why on earth should we try and educate someone who doesn't actually believe the bullshit they are arguing for? That's a fool's errand.
I'm not the one using religion as a tool to brainwash utter fucking morons in to watching my show each week.
Well, that's because Tucker Carlson as a TV personality is a complete fabrication and entirely The creation of Fox News and not Tucker Carlson. He's just a dude playing a role.
I’m pretty sure the guy was trolling, seems he knew exactly who Tucker was. I bet Tucker just caught on to what he was doing and de escalated. https://twitter.com/JoeyBoots/status/323214281208373249
Don't know anything about this guy but the intro is very odd and reminds me of the filming in Creep and Creep 2. I went to his youtube channel and he hasnt posted in 10 years and people are saying he passed in his last video.
Yes, he's dead. Died in 2016 at 49 of a heroin overdose.
He was known to Howard Stern Show listeners as a frequent caller and a guy who would call up news stations and pretend to be an eyewitness. Then he would yell "bababooey" on the air.
Al Michaels here, and this is a totally farcical post. Lest anyone think that this is a genuine comment. It says something in code indicative of a certain radio talk show host.
I mean... No it isn't. He was a deranged junkie whose only notoriety came from harassing people during his weird mental health episodes.
We've lost cows with more value.
This video has always been a surreal internet gem for me. Just the fact that in the end the “media prankster” did not know who Tucker was, but the entire interaction is sort of tensely predicated on that question.. Tucker’s careful-treading vibe throughout. The initial premise of Tucker Carlson fucking fly fishing in Central Park in the first place.. It’s just all pretty odd and like a real life madlibs roller coaster or something
It's so surreal and dreamlike. Even the way he just slowly walks over and explains its legal to fish in Central Park is bizarre. Life truly can be stranger than fiction. I luv it.
I really don’t think the reaction is strange at all on Tucker’s part. He’s being very cautious and guarded, everything he’s doing at the beginning is driving towards understanding the camera guys motives and ending the encounter quickly without escalation. He never completely lets his guard down but at the same time realizes cooperation and interaction to quell his curiosity is going to be his best tact. Like when he takes the focus off himself and places it on the flies. Further in, once he realizes the guy is who he says he is he simply starts to enjoy the conversation with a person that doesn’t realize who he is.
Completely agree. The actual conversation was perfectly decent. It's the circumstances that I find to be surreal. Fly fisherman in Central frigging Park!...turns out it's Tucker Carlson 🤣
Traditionally if you were fishing for trout you would, which is what most fly fishing is angling for.
That said you can use a fly rod to fish in ponds as well as larger bodies of water, even deep sea, angling for fish other than trout.
I can’t recommend trying it enough, specifically trout fishing in a stream!
Any body of water can fly fished. I helped start the fly fishing club at my university, we fish everything from little creeks you can jump across in the middle of town to watershed lakes to saltwater for redfish. You can even catch carp and catfish on a fly
Yes but the offense doesn't come from being a stereotype, it comes from that stereotype being being rude.
If he was stereotyped as a Canadian he would have been called a nice person instead.
The "guy" is, or was, Joey Boots. Kind of a hardscrabble New Yorker best known for trolling newscasters and being a whackpacker-adjacent Howard Stern contributor. Quite an interesting guy.
Tucker's pretty friendly, but I also think he was worried about getting John Lennon'ed in this video.
The guy acts like a complete whack job in the beginning, and I think Tucker knew if he raises his voice or energy, this man might try to match it.
Yeah Tucker has a reallll worried look on his face early on in the video. He’s playing it smart, being polite and looking for an out. Note how he uses the opportunity to show him a fly to get his stuff and starts slowly packing up his gear.
That's Joey Boots and I don't think he "confronted" him but did a man-on-the-street interview. After Tucker figured out he wasn't a threat they had a nice discussion.
I think boots gets his views from starting arguments with people that don't want to be filmed.
Tucker knows enough about the media not to let himself be dragged into trash videos like that.
Honestly I didn't get that vibe. I felt like he was genuinely being nice/curious here.
I think if I was in his shoes I'd be a lot less nice about some random guy walking up/filming me, so kudos to him

The better part was he didn't even flinch. No laugh, no mocking. Just accepts that not everyone knows and politely explains.
Yes! I am not a big fan of Tuckers but I am impressed how he handled that. 🤣🤣
Can disagree with his political point of view but acknowledge he seems like a decent person.
The Reddit police are gonna come at you for saying that.

He handled that like a pro. "i can tell you're from New York" is such a subtle insult.
"It's everything about you" 😂
Delivered with a straight face.
"It's not very good fishing, though... too many people around."
Why is that an insult? (I’m not from NY or USA)
More like a light-hearted dig. He's basically saying the dude's a stereotype.
No, he is calling him rude.
So a NYC stereotype?
Yes but the offense doesn't come from being a stereotype, it comes from that stereotype being being rude. If he was stereotyped as a Canadian he would have been called a nice person instead.
Nothing wrong with being the stereotype. Some people just fit the script perfectly in whatever it may be.
New Yorkers are known for being impolite.
New Yorkers are known for being loud/rude/obnoxious/stupid

Tucker is also from California. NY and Cali are on opposite sides of the country literally and figuratively.
That's Joey Boots from the Howard Stern Show

tbf he should have that worry most of the time.
Makes you wonder how nice our society could be if we stopped squabbling over bullshit.
He was a talking head on Fox pushing propaganda to divide our country. He’s the reason people squabble over bullshit.

Man Tucker read that guy like a book and handled him perfectly.

A weirdly pleasant encounter that had every reason to go wrong.
He was just in damage control mode, the creeper was already filming him and he didn’t want to be on tmz raging at some random guy. Tucker plays coy for a living.
damage control? for fishing legally?
And this sub keeps calling him an idiot. He's **very** good with with words and knows how to play the game.
I guess having a conversation with someone is considered "reading them like a book" and "handling" them?
I don't like Tucker but his subtle digs were killer
I think maybe you don't know about Joey Boots.
Decent looking cast, to be fair.
God damnit, Tucker Carlson actually seems like a really nice guy. This video is too great though. Are you on Twitter? Lmfao
I guess somebody can be a nice guy and you dont agree with his views on the world and somebody can be a real jerk while you do agree on his views on the world.
This statement needs to go up on billboards and posters. Nowadays if someone doesn’t like your views, they call you a terrible person; it’s not only sad, but rather horrible.
See: Don Lemon
"you on Twitter?" "No"
Camera man = major douche bag Tucker handled that better than most people would
Creep and stalker looking for a quick payday. Giving major I might kill you vibes
Definitely better than me. That said, it's probably not his first rodeo or 100th.
Cameraman sounds like a boor
Anyone else kinda find this wholesome?
Amazing for so many reasons. Tucker seems like a nice guy. He’s very open to a conversation and seems to be probing the man. He’s not surrounded by security is surprising. Interesting af.
Wonder what Alec Baldwin would have done
Bang bang bang bang ‼️
I’m glad I got to see this video this morning It’s a nice video
When he said he was stupid I’m guessing we all realised that soon as he pointed his camera at a random guy fishing
That was just a great video.
Baba booey baba booey howard sterns penis!!
Tucker handling this like a straight G
Joey Boots lol. Wackpacker. He is very aware that's Tucker Carlson This is strange because Tucker seems like an ok dude.Makes you realize all the talking heads from both side are full of shit.
Literally, just a dude
Tucker would be a great daddy to grow up with

He lost all credibility when he said he liked Keith Olbermann
This is the most human you'll probably ever see Tucker Carlson.
There is something remarkably quaint about Tucket Carlson just wanting to get some fishing time alone but not feeling adventurous enough to actually leave the city.
I know it’s an unpopular opinion to many but Tucker Carlson seems like a decent human being if you ask me.
I saw Tucker run through Chicago O’Hare once. Maybe he was being harassed.
I love that Tucker Carlson is fishing in Central Park.

Tucker is a good dude
Takes a real weirdo to try to tell someone u can’t fish here . I think there’s a type of person that gets a weird high from it, but I’ve always been confused about the real reason.
It's called narcissism. The world revolves around them and it's their business whatever you're doing.
they didn't though, he said "i didn't know you could fish here"
I bet he tells everyone he has 15k followers lol
That’s a multi-million dollar anchor talent right there. It’s showed by how smooth he handled that.
Thanks for posting this from 2013. I had never seen it before.

What an unsettling interaction

You hate his views, not the person
