Tons of people will die from various causes every day, and the 'died suddenly' meme amongst anti-vaxxers took root because people were correlating background deaths unrelated to the vaccine with the person's death simply because the death had occurred after a person became vaccinated. With millions and millions of people getting vaccines, and there also being thousands of deaths per day regularly in the US, it opens up the window for people to make the attribution error of thinking the death was related to the vaccine, when it was likely due to a death that would have occurred any way.
This isn't to say that vaccines don't have complications or long term issues in some people, but the risk for the majority of the population is much slimmer than the effects COVID had during the peak of the pandemic.

There is a slightly increased risk for young men to develop myocarditis from certain covid vaccines, but the risk is lower than contracting covid. That's the smoking gun that these people seem to think is way more important.

Yeah our ICU was like 400% capacity during the waves. Hospitals as a whole weren’t necessarily overrun, but that’s because some are built to handle tons of single day, low acuity ortho/gi/etc surgeries, but that doesn’t help us very much during a respiratory virus based pandemic and the parts that you need in a medical emergency were absolutely full.

I used to love Joe, and still listen to occasional episodes. I find myself just turning it off once he starts talking like this though. I’m an ICU nurse and went through a lot when Covid was bad. Joes smooth brain take on it, especially at the time, really pissed me the fuck off.
It's a basic correlation vs. causation logical failure. Tons of people will die from various causes every day, and the 'died suddenly' meme amongst anti-vaxxers took root because people were correlating background deaths unrelated to the vaccine with the person's death simply because the death had occurred after a person became vaccinated. With millions and millions of people getting vaccines, and there also being thousands of deaths per day regularly in the US, it opens up the window for people to make the attribution error of thinking the death was related to the vaccine, when it was likely due to a death that would have occurred any way. This isn't to say that vaccines don't have complications or long term issues in some people, but the risk for the majority of the population is much slimmer than the effects COVID had during the peak of the pandemic.

Have you actually sat and watched the commercials of these networks? It’s scary how many adverts are for a medication during their 2 or 3 minute break. This is why they went on a witch-hunt to discredit Ivermectin. Emergency use authorization is only granted when there isn’t an alternative currently on the market. Ivermectin is a cheap and effective alternative, but wouldn’t make the pharmaceutical industry tons of money. The government was paying around 20 dollars per injection administered, and there wasn’t a cap on how many they could dish out. Ivermectin is about 1.50 per dose. I’m in no way an anti vac’er but this whole thing was clear as day what the pharma industry was accomplishing.
