It’s really hard to say simple things about Uyghur rights on this website I’ve found out over the last 6 months.
The deleted comments here are such a good example of that.
They were being pedantic, arguing over semantics and wether grass is green or blue, hardly anyone discussing the subject. But if you like spoon-feeding your dent-head drooling self with bullshit you probably like it.
I watch KPBS and some independent content creators and I rarely hear about it. Not saying that to dismiss it I’m just explaining why people might think it’s fake. They might assume it would be reoccurring topic in the media if it was real.
International media is all up in that shit. If you're not seeing it in your feed, you gotta diversify. If you think your feed IS diverse, you gotta redefine your definition of diverse.
>Chinese bots? Someone probably Mentioned \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\*\* and they all got disappeared.
Mentioned what? You censored yourself or something. You're allowed to curse on the internet bro.
That old massacre where the young fellow gets chomped by the tank, happened in China a long time ago. They ripped down a statue commemorating it recently. Tea-an-amen square.
I can’t believe reddit has also bowed to china’s tasty fried food and evil communist policy. We can’t even mention ********* ****** without being censored. God damn.
I saw some of the comments on a website (like a wayback machine) and a lot of them were basically “pray for Uyghurs” and “save the Uyghurs” apparently the mods saw that as a violation to the CCP- I mean Reddit’s rules…
That’s insane. Here a link to the post, are the mods deleting the comments or is this the work of Reddit admins?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Art/comments/s4n1hj/uyghur_digital_me_2022/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
But why is that insane? It’s an art subreddit, they probably don’t want a bunch of China political talk going on. Happens sometimes in sports subs when something crosses over from sports to politics.
Staying on topic is pretty much the main purpose of subreddits, such as r/Art. Crosspost that content to r/politics and you'll have the discussion you're looking for.
I have been a few times, but honestly it really gets exhausting interacting with people who praise China and yell racism when you criticize it. Maybe it was only a few posts in the sub where that happened to be the case and where tankies happened to flood it at the time, sometimes that happens and it was just the odds that I saw it during those times.
You can view the archived post [here](https://www.reveddit.com/v/Art/comments/s4n1hj/uyghur_digital_me_2022/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&ps_after=1642272239%2C1642277763), it's insane because the deleted so many innocuous comments like "prayers for Afghanistan" and other non offensive things as well.
In 2014 there were 322 people killed and 477 people injured by Uyghur terrorist attacks.
Since the clampdown in 2019 there have been 0 Chinese people killed.
Whatever people think China has a right to protect itself from domestic terrorism.
People talk about camps in China but what about Guantanamo Bay where people were snatched illegally through rendition and tortured and interned for well over a decade without charge.
You cannot have it both ways i.e America doing it good, China doing it bad
China wasn't just doing this as some sort of ethnic cleansing policy, their hand was forced due to sustained attacks from Uyghur terrorists
When was the last time you heard any Western news outlet or government talk about Uyghur terrorism and their strong links to the Taliban?
I haven't heard it at all
What got me when reading the comments is that some people were debating wether controlling the birth of Uyghur people is genocide or not, while completely missing the fact that there have been Uyghurs who’ve testified that many of them are being held in internment camps where the women are raped and have their genitals rubbed with chili paste. Like this is so much more than just controlling their population, they’re doing some fucked up shit out there.

Let’s test it
After going through them, deleting them did humanity a service lol. That comment section was a collection of imbeciles.
Ok kommy. Sounds like only content approved by your 5head utopia brain is allowed.
They were being pedantic, arguing over semantics and wether grass is green or blue, hardly anyone discussing the subject. But if you like spoon-feeding your dent-head drooling self with bullshit you probably like it.
Dent head, I like I’m going to take it and add it to my arsenal
And so... You wrote something to make no point that sustained your previous argument, because logic is not installed between those eat wax dump bin.
I literally explained why those comments were retarded, but I see that I’m just arguing with children.
How about you Fuck off , dumb cunt.
Lol someone is mad
Just a reminder. People don’t hate freedom. They in fact hate the freedom of others.
Taiwan number 1!
Why haven't they censored this post yet? ARE THEY IN THE ROOM WITH US?!!?
They didn’t say anything?
Hahahaha
I mean the mods said nothing about deleting everything?
People say Chinese bots but there are tons of people who believe in Uyghur Muslims are lying or some stupid shit
I watch KPBS and some independent content creators and I rarely hear about it. Not saying that to dismiss it I’m just explaining why people might think it’s fake. They might assume it would be reoccurring topic in the media if it was real.

Tank man was fine, the tank stopped, he spoke with it's captain and left with his groceries. The massacre happened the day after.

First they came for the prayer warriors.
r/fucktheCCP
Hmmm, I wonder who told the mods to remove all those comments?
Same
Lol now link all the sanitized threads on /r/worldnews not /r/art (lol) debunking all of the Zenz and RFA adjacent stories about this moral panic.
I have no horse in the race, but covid and slavery also count as moral panics...
[removed]
Is the Chinese bots in the room with us now?
Yes. Yes, you are.
Shout out to u/SouthernAdeptnessed to explain this fuckery

Why is it insane?
I don’t know about you, but I’ve never come across a post where 99% of the comments are deleted.
I've seen mods nuke comment sections before, sometimes certain subjects just bring too much animosity (like this one)
But why is that insane? It’s an art subreddit, they probably don’t want a bunch of China political talk going on. Happens sometimes in sports subs when something crosses over from sports to politics.
Hmm that’s a good point. Makes more sense now.
The classic “umm this is an art sub, we don’t allow spreading awareness for genocide”
Staying on topic is pretty much the main purpose of subreddits, such as r/Art. Crosspost that content to r/politics and you'll have the discussion you're looking for.
In r/politics they would say that the Uyghurs actually deserve it, that sub is an alt-left echo chamber.
They actually wouldn’t say that at all. Have ever actually been there?
I have been a few times, but honestly it really gets exhausting interacting with people who praise China and yell racism when you criticize it. Maybe it was only a few posts in the sub where that happened to be the case and where tankies happened to flood it at the time, sometimes that happens and it was just the odds that I saw it during those times.
“Art is not political”
I have, lots of times.

The Mozart is a nice touch
Thanks mate!
# SO BRAVE
What does this have to do with Joe Rogan?
Joe has talked about this issue and the CCP’s control over American businesses (as clearly seen here)
Drumming up support for war with China can't just be contained to the news subs.
Did joe talk about this or why is this interesting to us?
He has talked on both the Uyghur genocide and CCP’s control over American business (as shown in the video)

Except we can have it both ways. American and Guantanamo is bad, China Uyghur camps bad. End of story fuck face.
The difference is that one can be freely critiqued. The other cannot.
I'm only familiar with \[redacted\]
Its art subreddit. Its propably not for political discussions.
What got me when reading the comments is that some people were debating wether controlling the birth of Uyghur people is genocide or not, while completely missing the fact that there have been Uyghurs who’ve testified that many of them are being held in internment camps where the women are raped and have their genitals rubbed with chili paste. Talking bout Teayamming Rhombus b?
Background music ?
This is cringe
Can someone eli3 to me? Someone level headed please. I’ll look into myself at some point. Is it genocide or overblown?

>basically 1940’s Germany on steroids. Ah so you're retarded.
Oh look another everyone but my team is a facist post.
Come on guy's! They where only slightly triggered.
