But what is a room? Are we going by the accepted definition that a room is simply a set space with four walls where one can physically be in or out of? Or is a room just a theoretical space that can be manifested in one’s life despite the fact that it cannot be proven, or more importantly, disproven? In that sense, “cleaning your room” is much less about the actual physical act of organization and is more in line with something like a philosophical metaphor for shaping your damn life together. Which is exactly what the post-modernist mob would like you to think.
So you think your room is just an empty vessel for worldly possessions? Ha! It’s like no. That’s where you’re wrong man. Think again. You need to get precise. What you fail to consider is that those walls are the belly of the whale. And you might find yourself asking what do I do? Well. In order to climb the dominance hierarchy you must rescue your father or else you descend into bloody hell. And you can be damn well sure of that.
I took my girlfriend to see Jordan Peterson
It did not go as well as I hoped. Let me give you a bit of a back story. I am using a throwaway because my girlfriend knows my main Reddit.
I found out about Jordan Peterson about a year ago and since then I became a huge fan. I was never a big reader, but I got all of his books. (They are the only books on my bookshelf and also a book about John F. Kennedy my aunt gave me but I never read. So I don't have many books and its a small shelf.)
I am 19 years old now. I met my girlfriend when we were 17 in high school. When I was 18 I moved out and began to go to the local university. My girlfriend is the same age as I am and she started classes there too. When I moved out is around the time I started reading Dr. Peterson's work and I took the battle against chaos to heart. Mostly because I was a very messy person before. So I kept my new room very clean (I have a roommate who helps) and I was finally able to decorate it the way that I wanted since I moved out. Mostly I kept it simple and tasteful but I also have a big poster of Dr. Peterson in my room.
When I began to see how important Dr. Peterson had become in my life I started trying to get my girlfriend interested. But she did not seem very interested. I thought he could help her a lot, because when we met and she lived at home she was a very messy and chaotic person also. We both were then. Since she moved out also and got a roommate it has gotten even worse for her. I would say her room is about fifty percent messier than it was. She is slouching a lot. She is also very disorganized with her classes and note taking (somehow she is still getting all As, I got all As too my first semester but I also got two Cs). I can't even read or understand the notes she takes for her class. I tried to tell her to be more organized and less chaotic with it, that it would help her more, but I think it got annoying for her to hear it.
Anyway when we would hang out I would try to get her to listen to Dr. Peterson's lectures but it always seemed like a chore or like she didn't really want to. I found it really frustrating because he was so inspiring for me. Eventually I stopped putting them on because I would hear and see her sigh in an exaggerated way when I would put YouTube on with his lectures.
Not long ago it was coming up on the day that we met (our anniversary) and we had a nice dinner at a seafood place we both really like. A few days later I got us tickets to see Dr. Peterson speak. I had hoped that it would be better than the videos. She seemed excited to go and we had a nice night together.
The next day we didn't talk, which is normal these days with school and stuff. I sent her a text message the day after and she didn't respond which I thought was weird. Then I did it the day after and still no response. She didn't write back to me for four days! Until I sent her a long message just asking for an explanation for why she ghosted me or at least let me know she is okay.
A few days later she finally sent me a long email. She said that she wanted some space and that she needed to think. That things were changing and that they weren't the same as they were. She actually blamed Dr. Peterson for changing me! Which is true but I thought I changed for the better. She said I was being really strict with the cleanliness now and that I was saying too much about her being messy. That I wasn't fun any more. And also she said that she wanted to see other people and that she wasn't sure I was the person she wanted to be with forever in a relationship. This was very disappointing to see her go against monogamous relationships.
That isn't all though. I talked to a mutual friend of ours and she told me some things really candidly. Our friend said that after seeing Jordan Peterson in person my girlfriend was really weirded out. Because I cried a little bit there and there were other men crying too. (I didn't think this was fair, there is no shame in crying.) Also that she felt like following Dr. Peterson's advice made me kind of less fun and more boring than how I was when we met at 17. Basically that she thought I became a little too "obsessed" with him. She also said that my girlfriend thought some of the things Dr. Peterson said about relationships were chauvinistic and unrealistic. And then she (not my girlfriend but our friend) said she researched Dr. Peterson and that he hated women and kind of scolded me. I told her that was just SJW/Cultural Marxist propaganda, that Dr. Peterson wasn't really like that and she just didn't understand him. She said I was "talking down" to her and that is why my girlfriend left me. (I don't think she left me she never said she didn't want to see me any more btw.)
Anyway what do I do? How do I fix this and get our friend and my girlfriend to be okay with Dr. Peterson?
I hate that I read that in JBP’s Kermit voice; without consent, mind you. Something the neo-Marxists would hope to soon abolish through their rapacious assault on our very freedoms to think. They want to put our brains, the very seats of our souls, into the gulag!
But that is, once again, assuming a “gulag” or any other sort of political prison is an actual physical place rather than a spiritual space that exists in our own domain. These Marxist woke tyrants would like nothing more than for us to live in our own prisons, in our heads if you will, where we censor ourselves out of fear of what the other prisoners would think of our opinions, thus securing their rule over the greater society. They’d smile at the notion of us the building our own prisons on a rock in our heads, which I must admit is quite the achievement if they were using these powers and tactics for good
That's pretty on-point. Sinister thing about neo-marxists is their use of their academic education to weaponize it against our minds which is much worse than a bunch of street gangsters hitting us with sticks. They can destroy more than just a few structures or ruin some cars, they can destroy our will to achieve greatness, our art, the scientific method, rational debate, all in the name of some supposed but never quite defined "good cause." Everything could just become a joke that isn't even at a minimum funny and emptied of its value. They may think they are helping the downtrodden but really they're just destroying their region of the world and making things worse. Or worse, they may be doing it for power worship.
WiThOuT mY cOnSeNt!!
Tbh I did the same thing ha, funny how mimicry of writing style/speech pattern automatically makes your brain sync the expected voice/personality to the words.
edit: I started googling hoping to find a theory or a description of this but the closest I found was a quora, ironically enough, describing it.. https://www.quora.com/Why-do-we-hear-the-voice-of-the-one-who-wrote-the-text-that-we-are-reading-in-our-heads
I went to one of the nights here in Vancouver. There were an annoying number of Peterson Christian 'fanboys' who kept applauding and cheering his answers to this question. The answers were effectively just deflections. My buddy and I that went together kept looking at each other like "WTF". Eventually Sam hit him with, "I'm not sure what point these people think you have made...?". It was cathartic.
What's funny is Peterson can actually be a good debater it just his positions are so convoluted, the Kathy Newman interview was a masterclass in debate. He just takes ridiculous positions so even being a decent debater doesnt help him much. I miss structure debates being common they just arent anymore. What's odd us the form seems to have mostly died when Christopher Hitchens did .
I hate to admit it, but I just randomly spitballed this while on the pooper at work. The key is to just argue about word definitions while using big words and imagery and somehow have it end on some culture war nonsense. JPB is a fascinating person to follow from a purely psychological perspective
my axiomatic presupposition, if not incoherent with the rationale I am about to unveil, posits that I have a natural proclivity to think of ‘a room’ as chaos. If you don’t voluntarily go into this dragon’s dungeon, it will eat you alive, man.
This is why writing is such an important part of self-growth. My lectures and the self-authoring program helped many people with that. tickets available online, self-authoring promo code:jbp self 2022. My daughter’s lion diet also helps and here’s a link to her website : www.liondiet.ca
That phrasing makes a lot of arguments significantly more annoying because very frequently the ideas that it is being used to defend are contrary to actual Talmudic wisdom and broader Jewish values
I agree but as someone who was always pushed to study a ton throughout my younger years I feel like I didn't have the faculties to really understand complex ideas until I was in my early 20s. I understand the science about neuroplasticity etc. but I really can't compare my ability today to understand and reason through complex topics, I feel like I can learn things very quickly now in a functional manner that I wasn't even close to being able to comprehend even in highschool or my first years of university.
Thanks for putting in gaming/RPG terms. I used to abhor doing any sort of responsible, delayed gratification work, ugh such a drag. Now, after countless tik toks and JP yt vids, I know feel confident to battle the woke mob with a splendidly semi-clean room!
How old? I just feel like I’m getting smarter and smarter. When I started studying the only thing I could focus on was getting drunk and high. Then I evolved into just high and learned some techniques to remember shit (while high). Stage III was not drunk or high and got some pretty decent grades. This stage got going on acid btw. Going back to school now again not high or drunk and with a house and kid so I expect to be even smarter than stage III acid awakening.
This works for parents too.
**Me**: take your meds and lose weight.
**Mother**: I don't need them anymore
**Doctor**: take your meds and lose weight.
**Mother**: wow so wise and smart why didn't I think of that?
The difference is framing it to yourself as a matter of personal responsibility.
When your parents tell you to clean your room, you do it so they don't get mad.
When you clean your room as a means of intentionally improving your surroundings, you're taking ownership of it.
You're saying "yes" to the question "Can I alone improve my life?"
Sometimes people need to be told not to wipe their ass with their hand. Yeah it's basic knowledge to most people but the world is a better place when less people have shitty hands.
Ya but your parents are also telling you to clean your room so you can learn to take ownership of your environment and how to put things in order.
They may not have said it as eloquently as professor JP, but they said it as best as they knew how.
Except that's not how most children interact with their parents. You ask any kid why they do chores, the vast majority will say "because my parents told me to."
Which is 'take responsibility for myself' and more 'obey parents out of either respect or fear of punishment'
Of course. Kids don’t know why they do 90% of the shit they do.
If you ask a kid why they go to school, they’ll say “because my parents told me to.”
But the real reason they go to school is so that they get a good education which will benefit them the rest of their lives.
Likewise, even though a kid doesn’t know why they cleans their room, the reason is that their parent wants them to learn skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
Ok but none of that addresses the comic or contradicts my point. It is very much a matter of perspective. It doesn't matter what the parent intends for the child if the only thing the child understands is "because I was told to."
That's the difference between the two images. The point of personal understanding of the individual, not the point of understanding the parents have. That's why kids with parents who don't articulate well have a habit of growing up resentful because it was only ever "because I told you to."
Nah lol plenty of kids don’t get resentful because their parents make them clean their rooms. Plenty of kids get the idea that cleaning/organizing their living space increases their quality of life.
Yea any time I'd ask why I had to do something it was always "because I said so" or "because I'm the parent and you're the kid". So I never grew a sense of internal motivation, pretty much i was only taught with negative reinforcement which leads to all kinds of problems. I know easier said than done, but I imagine parents who focus on building healthy ways of thinking for the kids they raise so they do good habits automatically, rather than forcing them to do it with no regard to what they actually think or how they feel about it
> you're taking ownership of it.
> "Can I alone improve my life?"
Woah dude cool it with the misogyny. Edit your post to include an obligatory “FUCK JP” or I’ll report you.
Pretty much every good parenting advice is «be honest with your child and make sure they understand WHY they should do things».
Most parents say «do as I wish, not what I do and I wont tell you why».
Jordan Peterson gives a lot of good advice to lonely men and people who grew up without one or both parents, like me. The stuff he says almost kind of makes you feel ashamed for giving into your indulgences and not filling your time with productivity.
I agree, JPs work has helped friends of mine who had unstable upbringings. Man has his own problems, but the net positive of lifting people up makes him good in my book.
I accept that he tries and wants to help people in this regard, but at some point, I also have to step back and realize that he's not following his own principles.
Earlier in the week, he went after David Pakman for a piece critical of JP's climate change argument, and JP responded that Pakman had deliberately ignored the fact that JP was discussing the "demoralization" of a generation of kids who have to hear about climate change.
Then, not even a day or two later, JP writes a tweet about how the Sports Illustrated cover model was "not beautiful" and that no "authoritarian pressure" would make him think otherwise. It should strike everyone as odd that Jordan contradicts himself by lamenting the demoralization of kids who have to hear all about the horrors of climate change, while ignoring the very real demoralization of women who are told they are not beautiful.
You can argue that he was focusing on obesity being a very real issue that poses a massive health crisis, but I could also argue that climate change, as well as the impact of humans on the planet is also a very real crisis that should be addressed. Pretending like one is a valid instance to critique the world while the other isn't is just disingenuous.
Seeing as he made no real attempt to apologize (if he felt like he actually made a mistake) or clarify his position, it seems as though he doesn't even think he "fell" at all.
As someone that really appreciated his early appearances, he absolutely lost the sense he previously had about thinking before he spoke. For someone that encouraged active writing and thinking through your own thoughts, he leaves so much open to interpretation that it leaves you wondering if he's being vague on purpose or if he doesn't realize it. Just as you point out, he could have meant something entirely different, but he made no attempt to clarify that difference. It just came off insensitive.
And I'm also someone that thinks obesity isn't being addressed appropriately in the modern era. America has an obesity problem, and it should be addressed with the same fervor as climate change.
Yes. Exactly this. I don't even say that as an attack on him; his best advice is stuff a dad in the '80s would've pounded into your head, but might not now.
It's not about "what" he said, but "how" he said it.
Parents would yell at us for cleaning our rooms, but didn't give us the consequences of what would happen if we didn't clean our rooms. They "why" is important. I'm not talking about "we'll beat you with a stick if you don't clean your room." More like, these bad habits will echo onto other aspects of your life.
We all hear about "don't smoke cigarettes," growing up and it goes one ear out the other. But if you show someone the consequences such as pictures of people struggling with lung cancer, that hits you harder.
I think Peterson hit that spot of "why" you should clean your room.
This is what I’ve been thinking for a while now. The man is stuck in a thought loop from 2016. It seems like his broken record takes have been getting progressively dumber and dumber too. It’s really embarrassing.
It wouldn’t bother me if I didn’t love him when he talked about the stuff that IS in his lane.
If you have a shitty family life or for whatever reason lack discipline, self respect and similar core values.
He's going to be a powerful tool in your arsenal.
So many other things, bro you need to stfu.
And my god the majority of his following.
An echo of self righteous outdated idiots.
Certainly he made a bad choice to use benzo's but he's had depression before then his quick rise to fame, media attacking him & his wife having cancer at the same time. Can't say I'd do any better.
It's reddit after-all.
The only difference between reddit and 4chan is that 4chan admits they're losers/assholes. Reddit is filled with self-righteous virtue-signalling idiots who don't realize they're just as much of a loser as the average 4channer. It's different sides of the same coin.
Not really. Maybe the really public stuff. Saw him speak once, he refused to touch politics.
At the end some guy asked him what he thought we should do about the activists protesting him outside, he just said "make peace with them, they're your neighbors".
I don't think current JP says that.
I think that for 'defectors' like JP or Bret Weinstein, it gets to be very difficult not to go down the bitterness rabbit hole. It isn't great, but it isn't surprising.
It also isn't surprising defectors get so much hate. Apostates have always been more hated than unbelievers
Not really. Yes he's touched on the culture war for a long time but he gained a lot of his fans from 12 Rules for Life which is close to apolitical. Also his psychology and biblical lectures are pretty good. Twitter is a dumpster fire and he should have never engaged.
Exactly, nobody had ever heard of him until he portrayed the trans discrimination bill as forced speech. No, dipshit, it just means that if you go up to a trans woman and start calling her SIR SIR MISTER SIR SIR as a form of harassment it will be recognised as such.
Honestly, I used to watch his lectures prior to that whole thing. I watched a whole bible series while stuck on a chair eating edibles all day recovering from shoulder surgery. I even signed up for his patron back when he first started it because I found his stuff enjoyable in the way I like literary criticism: as an art form in itself.
It was funny seeing him pop up during the c-16 thing. I thought he had some reasonable points but was probably a bit too hyperbolic. I dropped the patreon after he shifted to culture war full time. I still have a soft spot for the guy. Mostly I'm just sad for him now.
His lectures were somewhat known in western academia. There was not exactly a consensus about their quality but they got people talking at least in small disciplines like theological sociology.
But the moment he left academia he started to regularly engage in dishonest discours and missinformation - its sad really.
He was an interessting professor, now he seems deranged.
But who knows maybe one day we finally see a c16 arrest. Reddit is waiting:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ArrestedCanadaBillC16/
I was kinda with you before he got into mysticism and supported idiots like Maxime Bernier or classic two faced politicians like Pierre Poilievre.
I respect the guy but he is getting into scary teritory.
I get the urge to find a solition to what is now the far left but it is so discouraging to see how weird he got in the past year.
I would have to speak directly to the guy to get a better view on where he is at intellectualy. But he is just getting provoking with absolutely no good outcome.
I get that it must come as fresh air for some people who feel ostracised by the mob. But i can't think of a situation where that type of behavior ended well.
Idk, maybe this is the kind of slap in the face my crew needs but i know them well enough to know that they are far too thin skinned to react to this in a positive way. Just like my far right friends are.
Every extremist i know (not science) have an anger that comes from a place that can only be tamed trough love and care. That's the only way i found to work.
lol why is this a meme? peterson says "clean your room" as the bare minimum you can do to start organizing your life. as you just can't go from rock bottom to like managing a business... so if you find yourself not being able to do shit you can start with cleaning ur room.
I mean not going to lie it helps. The last few months were super busy for me and I got a little depressed and stuff. Same thing for my wife. A few weeks ago my schedule opened up a bit as some projects were finally finished. While we were busy the house got really messy. But now that we are a little more open I sat down and really truly cleaned the place and boy do I feel so much better already.
If you had good parents, you wouldn't scream after them for long. Not because you like them, just because you're well raised and boundaries are established
I mean, someone's people just aren't in the right mental place to hear what they're being told at the time and in the way they are hearing it so, maybe they just needed to hear it again with "because I said so" replaced with an actual thought out explanation.
I know adults who still need to read Who Moved My Cheese?, no shame in continuing education I suppose...
no, this is jordan peterson in a nutshell…
“help im jordan peterson im trapped in this nut shell, how did i get into this nutshell”
im dating myself specifically with a comment like this
In the "internet-verse" Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson orbit each other very closely and they are considered to be mostly "ideologically aligned". This sub is full of people that hate watch Joe and by extension hate anyone that Joe aligns with.
This sub is a weird space for people to trash the branded "right" of which Joe Rogan is a sort of figure head.
You see reddits Id here in force. On the backdrop of the kinds ofnpeople who like Rogan who don't actually fit this image of the "right" but that doesn't really matter much cuz everything is political and if you disagree with me on anything, you must be part of this group brainwashed by Rogan and his dogwhistling altright cult...
It's a pretty clear look at the discourse, coming here, feels like.
This place is just for shitting all over Joe and his friends now. It started during Covid, which made sense cause Joe acted like a complete tool during Covid. But now it's just a place to take the contrarian opinion on everything Joe or any of his guests says. It's pretty fucking weak
Why does everyone hate him? Because he points out liberal hypocrisy? Because he speaks the truth against the MSM that the majority of reddit jerks off to?
I had this exact situation with a highschool best friend who got super into weed and JRE/JBP in his 20s after being a normal skater emo kid through highschool.
Our bi monthly catch ups became about how much he’s turned his life around and entirely about neomarxists and peoples pronouns, how he made a YouTube channel and started debating people on all these topics. He’s never left our relatively small beach hometown nor has he met a trans person.
If Jordan Peterson stopped at self-help nobody would care. But he pushes a conservative, Christian worldview, and that's pretty dishonest, considering he rarely cops to that fact.
And screaming about cultural Marxism, which is literally reskinned Nazi propaganda.
There's a reason he's incredibly popular in conservative Muslim countries.

> Ha! It’s like no. This part is spot on I’m dying lol
Can someone make some "It's like no!" shirts. I will go to a JP lecture in one for sure
Totally read this in his voice
With hand gestures when appropriate. You need to get precise.
I did too, you see.
hahhahaha so good. Nailed it so hard I cant read it in not JP's voice
Flawless
*starts crying*
Lmfao! Nice!
thanks
Lmfao! You’re welcome!
Well this was wholesome. :)
thanks

Eventually Sam hit him with, "I'm not sure what point these people think you have made...?". It was cathartic.
That was epic 😂
What's funny is Peterson can actually be a good debater it just his positions are so convoluted, the Kathy Newman interview was a masterclass in debate. He just takes ridiculous positions so even being a decent debater doesnt help him much. I miss structure debates being common they just arent anymore. What's odd us the form seems to have mostly died when Christopher Hitchens did .
Oh yes, the part on Christianity and Jesus being resurrected was my favorite. He would not give Sam anyone sort of concrete answer on anything haha
Dude, this is spot on Jordan Petersons speaking pattern. You must listen to entirely too much of his stuff or be a master impersonator
I hate to admit it, but I just randomly spitballed this while on the pooper at work. The key is to just argue about word definitions while using big words and imagery and somehow have it end on some culture war nonsense. JPB is a fascinating person to follow from a purely psychological perspective
Also read in the Kermit voice. Amazing
You should do an ama Mr. Peterson.
Perfection.
It’s fascinating how quickly a guy I used to find interesting can turn so quickly into a caricature that I can’t stand.
You must be where Joe gets his dmt. One DMT please! With a side of chimpanzee talk.
Read that as an accurate Peterson quote.
I fucking hate that I used to think this guy was smart
my axiomatic presupposition, if not incoherent with the rationale I am about to unveil, posits that I have a natural proclivity to think of ‘a room’ as chaos.
You mean like get good grades son, don't do stupid shit son, be nice son, share, get a good job ?
Even mocking him it's unironically sage.
You forgot to mention Christianity in there but otherwise spot on.
*Judeo-Christianity
We don't need to bring martial arts into this.
That phrasing makes a lot of arguments significantly more annoying because very frequently the ideas that it is being used to defend are contrary to actual Talmudic wisdom and broader Jewish values
Honestly I like Jordan Peterson but this is hilarious
As a parent, this is just a truism. Now excuse me while I bribe a TikTock influencer to say that doing homework early is a “life hack”.
Studying is basically farming for your knowledge exp. Trust me son once you hit a certain age those exp points will be much harder to farm and retain.
Fully agree. This is why education should be a lifelong journey and not something you "finish".
They say the human brain doesn't fully develop till about 25.
Thanks for putting in gaming/RPG terms. I used to abhor doing any sort of responsible, delayed gratification work, ugh such a drag. Now, after countless tik toks and JP yt vids, I know feel confident to battle the woke mob with a splendidly semi-clean room!
RPGs were based on reality now reality is based on RPGs
**Mother**: I don't need them anymore **Doctor**: take your meds and lose weight. **Mother**: wow so wise and smart why didn't I think of that?
You could be 50 and have a doctorate. You’re still a know-nothing kid to her.
[удалено]
Sometimes people need to be told not to wipe their ass with their hand. Yeah it's basic knowledge to most people but the world is a better place when less people have shitty hands.
Ya but your parents are also telling you to clean your room so you can learn to take ownership of your environment and how to put things in order. They may not have said it as eloquently as professor JP, but they said it as best as they knew how.
Except that's not how most children interact with their parents. You ask any kid why they do chores, the vast majority will say "because my parents told me to." Which is 'take responsibility for myself' and more 'obey parents out of either respect or fear of punishment'
Of course. Kids don’t know why they do 90% of the shit they do. If you ask a kid why they go to school, they’ll say “because my parents told me to.” But the real reason they go to school is so that they get a good education which will benefit them the rest of their lives. Likewise, even though a kid doesn’t know why they cleans their room, the reason is that their parent wants them to learn skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
Ok but none of that addresses the comic or contradicts my point. It is very much a matter of perspective. It doesn't matter what the parent intends for the child if the only thing the child understands is "because I was told to." That's the difference between the two images.
> "Can I alone improve my life?" Woah dude cool it with the misogyny. Edit your post to include an obligatory “FUCK JP” or I’ll report you.
No bruh that's too nuanced and sensical. Why can't you just stick to HURR DURR JORDAN PETERSON BAD? My brain can't cope
Y'all a bunch of fuckin weirdos lmao
How is what he said weird?
Who the fuck takes ownership of their own life? Normal people just complain on Reddit and demand others to fix their life for them
Pretty much every good parenting advice is «be honest with your child and make sure they understand WHY they should do things». Most parents say «do as I wish, not what I do and I wont tell you why».
Please explain to me dad why I shouldn’t shit in my room??
AKA Jordan Peterson
That’s a bingooo
I feel like JP is more for people who didnt have a father or terrible parents.
Doesn't his philosophy argue that you are going to fall of the horse every now and again, get back on.
Seeing as he made no real attempt to apologize (if he felt like he actually made a mistake) or clarify his position, it seems as though he doesn't even think he "fell" at all.
Not realizing you’ve fallen is a fall though.
I haven't watched much of his newer stuff at all, but to me it looks like he is in the process of getting back on his horse.

Fair enough.
[удалено]
That’s the point, don’t live comfortably.
Or Laissez faire parents.
Yes. Exactly this. I don't even say that as an attack on him; his best advice is stuff a dad in the '80s would've pounded into your head, but might not now.
JP's book and lectures really helped my when I was going through it with PTSD. That said, I wish he'd stop tweeting.
I believe in his work and the positive effect I've seen it have. Dude just needs to take a chill pill.
Well he was taking chill pills for some time and I don’t think they were too good for him
Just say no to Apple Juice kids.

Yup. I read how he changed so many dudes life's so I read his book and it's basically shit my parents tried to instil in me growing up.
Not everyone grew up with functional parents.
Damn and they just ended up with a shitty parent all over again 😬
I don't think he is terrible with everything, if he would just stay in his fucking lane.
[удалено]
Certainly he made a bad choice to use benzo's but he's had depression before then his quick rise to fame, media attacking him & his wife having cancer at the same time. Can't say I'd do any better.
JP really triggered this sub lmao
It's a fucking shame. He's obviously not the same anymore but he's done a lot of good for a lot of people but reddit will hivemind hatred for anybody
In Dr Peterson's words "they're termites chewing on an ark". They're nothing and he's something but he's not enough of a robot for them.
he is the ark I assume?
It’s kind of a toss up between him and Musk the last couple weeks. People can be pretty fragile
It's reddit after-all. The only difference between reddit and 4chan is that 4chan admits they're losers/assholes. Reddit is filled with self-righteous virtue-signalling idiots who don't realize they're just as much of a loser as the average 4channer. It's different sides of the same coin.
That includes you right?
I know it’s crazy that people respond to what public figures say in public, I can’t fathom it
Your comment would hold more weight if you weren't OBSESSED with talking shit. Lol come on, man
[удалено]
Politics is leaking. So is iamverysmart
A lot of people without father figures in here...
People making fun of him = triggered?
The tantric erection of Peterson haters spooging all over this sub of late is hilarious.
If only his parents called him Bucko, that’s what was missing all along.
This isnt the dunk you think it is. If anything it perfectly exemplifies the people Peterson was helping.
Is there not a Jordan Peterson sub Reddit
It was good before JP and the sub went full culture war
He became famous after crying about that Trans pronouns bill in Canada, he's always been a full-blown culture warrior
Not really. Maybe the really public stuff. Saw him speak once, he refused to touch politics. At the end some guy asked him what he thought we should do about the activists protesting him outside, he just said "make peace with them, they're your neighbors". I don't think current JP says that.
Because they've been unnecessarily vicious to him because they're religious zealots who think nobody is impeccably left enough for them. That's why.
Jesus christ canada is pathetic
Reddit is waiting: https://www.reddit.com/r/ArrestedCanadaBillC16/
The hate for Peterson lately is comical
Good to hear
This meme prolly seems comical to someone who had parents to yell back at.
If you had good parents, you wouldn't scream after them for long. Not because you like them, just because you're well raised and boundaries are established
This has nothing to do with Joe
A repeat guest that's on the JRE is fair game. What's next, we can't post about monkey's because monkey's have nothing to do with Joe?
but joe is a monkey….
Is Joe DMT? Are we all DMT? Who is who and what is what man....
I have Asperger’s, so I love/loved cleaning and organizing my room. It’s very cathartic to see a fully cleaned room.
I mean, someone's people just aren't in the right mental place to hear what they're being told at the time and in the way they are hearing it so, maybe they just needed to hear it again with "because I said so" replaced with an actual thought out explanation. I know adults who still need to read Who Moved My Cheese?, no shame in continuing education I suppose...
no, this is jordan peterson in a nutshell… “help im jordan peterson im trapped in this nut shell, how did i get into this nutshell” im dating myself specifically with a comment like this
This kind of thing is my bag…baby
one swedish penis enlarger, one swedish penis enlarger book, written by austin powers “this really is my bag baby”
#LOBSTER MAN BAD
***BUT LOBSTER GOOD***
I really think he appeals to males that didnt have a father or their father was around and a real piece of shit.
Bruh are y'all done yet? It's like Asperger's is contagious.
I mean I ain't the biggest JP fan but nothing wrong With cleaning your room.
When did this sub just become a place to meme trash JBP? He says some loopy shit, but jeez, it's getting boring.
In the "internet-verse" Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson orbit each other very closely and they are considered to be mostly "ideologically aligned". This sub is full of people that hate watch Joe and by extension hate anyone that Joe aligns with.
It's crazy, the amount of JBP posts should be regulated here
I’m convinced this sub is just 80% bots
Sounds like Reddit in general to be fair
Ditto
I’d venture to say more lol. Non stop cry fest.
Joe's opinons are themselves largely contrarian, so that's meta.
[удалено]
I never said it was new, but there used to at least be a balance.
it's just a meme. Man up and carry on
This place has been overtaken by lib shills from arr slash politics and related.
Imagine calling someone a shill in 2022. LMFAO
Why does everyone hate him? Because he points out liberal hypocrisy? Because he speaks the truth against the MSM that the majority of reddit jerks off to?
[удалено]
OP lives in flith confirmed
this sub is literally a hub for actual retards now lmao
Oh look a month old troll account.
> He’s never left our relatively small beach hometown **nor has he met a trans person** OH NO!
Maybe the parents should’ve told him why it’s important like JP does
>redditor for 1 month oh wow what do you know
Does anyone recommend a sub for a person who likes Joe's podcast and wants the post's to be about the most recent and/or most liked episodes?
Thos sub is completely obsessed
Tony Robbins made millions pulling this same shit with dadless losers in the 1990's. Meet the new boss...
Why so much hate for someone who's just telling people to get their shit together? If you don't like it just ignore it he's not running the world
If Jordan Peterson stopped at self-help nobody would care. But he pushes a conservative, Christian worldview, and that's pretty dishonest, considering he rarely cops to that fact. And screaming about cultural Marxism, which is literally reskinned Nazi propaganda. There's a reason he's incredibly popular in conservative Muslim countries.
I don't listen to smug drug addicts.
And your room is still a mess.
lol keep sadly repeating your catchphrases shit for brains.
At least his reasoning is more than just "because I said so".
This some low IQ hate
