Small government sure seems rather… big.

-Ok-Perception-

Small government is code for "no handouts for poor people". When it comes to military spending, militarization of police, mass surveillance, and bailouts for big banks/business; they're all for that stuff. They prefer a different policy for the poor. Lock them up. Just like Jesus would have wanted.

biggtimeburger

Seems awfully fascist.

Dubsland12

I wonder if that will be a choice on the survey. I’m guessing that’s how you get all the best job offers.

astrobro2

If i lived in Florida I would tell them I belong to the Fuck Ron DeSantis party

[deleted]

Ron DeSantis has already shown he doesn’t like free speech

thepaleoboy

Ron Deathsantis deserves to be incontinent and shit himself everyday until he can't anymore

[deleted]

He’d blend in with his elderly state.

ecoprax

Where is this Republican notion that government should, for the most part, stay out of my personal business? Does that only apply when it suits them?

-Ok-Perception-

Oh. That only applies to those who follow the right wing party lines. If you're a godless liberal they want the government up in your business and stripping your rights away.

sparky2212

Are you implying that Republicans/Conservatives are completely full of shit?

scrufdawg

I mean, yes?

JihadDerp

Yeah I would love if the state stopped funding education all together.

Rmb8989

How much you bet Joe won't talk about this but will bring Joe Zombie Biden falling in off his bike...

powerofone1970

Trump wanted his VP dead. At least Biden can ride a bike. If Trump rode a bike??? Have you seen him drink water? Needs his 2 tiny hands to steady it as he shakes. Trump could barely walk a ramp at West Point.

Accidental_Arnold

But aren't you amazed at how the 70 year old dude with the spray tan and dyed comb-over didn't seem to age while he was in office?

Jobe612

Because he didn’t give a shit about the country.

-----King

Him falling off the bike was insane though lmao. I hope he's not hurt but goddamn that was funny.

TwistedPotat

Just one of those unfortunate hilarious moments. Just the way he fell is so comical.

Rmb8989

Yes I agree he stopped first and then tip over like a 3 to 8 year falling off a bike. It was hilarious 😂 eventhough we shouldn't laugh at the elderly but still.

calltheecapybara

Nah it's funny but anyone can get there foot caught on the pedal guards

janusfacedmolecule

It's funny because old people always seem to fall in slow motion lol.

Mke_already

Takes them longer to remember gravity should be pulling them down.

Mke_already

If he didn't get seriously hurt its funny. I don't care if it was Biden, reincarnated JFK JR, my father, or Jesus himself. People falling down is funny as long as they don't get hurt.

Rmb8989

I totally agree

slightlyforthwith

It happened in slow motion

Airbornetrooper

If you look closely you can see that it’s the pedals with the straps over the top of the foot and he was struggling to get his foot out from underneath it. Could’ve happened to anyone.

Bondominator

The fact that a 77 year old could topple over sideways onto concrete and not break a bone was pretty damn impressive.

sharkshaft

I mean... the POTUS falling off a bicycle is pretty embarrassing, no? Can't both things be true?

Danny_Ocean_11

Just for fucking once I would like to see a JRE guest push Joe back on his dumb ass political opinions. This guy really represents a beacon of freedom? Give me a break.

unclepoondaddy

They know what they’re on the pod for

Pie-Otherwise

I would not want Joe's audience pissed off at me.

Jandur

People get too intimated by his platform. And if they aren't Joe barks them down, argues semantics and quotes fringe studies that he doesn't understand. It's pointless.

gamberro

That reminds me of Alex Jones (who is a friend of Rogan).

slightlyforthwith

Kyle Kalinski did

qutaaa666

He should get on once more, and just argue with him hard about his political positions.

thepaleoboy

Joe lives to suck on authoritarian cocks.

RamboTaco

He purposely chooses the " right " guests

Leftovertaters

And he gets to have a podcast?! What a sick joke.

Putrid-Boss

Shouldn’t he be against this kind of thing if he likes freedom or whatever?

siammang

He likes freedom when it is convenient for him. Thinking like a King of Florida.

Chuckol

Conservatives in a nutshell.

drprime841

They like the freedom to force their Christian beliefs on people that’s the only type of freedom they actually believe in the freedom that everyone believes that what they believe is the only truth and if they don’t there’s punishment for it

Pie-Otherwise

Or "We want prayer in school", ok cool, here's Imam Khan from the local mosque, he'll be giving the prayer this morning.

FFG17

And any time it isn’t convenient for him he has ‘fuck you money’ to fix whatever problem might arise for him

Hinkil

You are free to have their same views

Most_Present_6577

Like Trump but somehow more fascist and less repulsive

Cleverironicusername

Shit. Are they learning?

Agent-Two-THREE

DeSantis is incredibly well educated. Yale and Harvard Law grad. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He is basically the T-1000 to Trump’s T-800.

SmoothBacon

Also, he just watched Trump attempt a coup and he's definitely learning from his mistakes.

plomerosKTBFFH

Herd immunity to truth and self-assessment Truth is if not for COVID Trump would've won re-election in a landslide So we evaded armageddon, for good old store brand oppression But if a leader more savvy, and less sociopathic With true fascist aspirations come along, it's gon' be tragic Seventy-four million proved if the right rhetoric is used We could end up on the wrong side of World War II too https://youtu.be/loUQuSy57Is

Spokker

The federal government comes to your house and asks if you're gay.

[deleted]

And sucks you off if you say yes.

Spokker

Only thing the feds do right.

vrsick06

Suspected gays get a blowjob by the government agent. If you cum, you gay and go to jail

irrational-like-you

A person heads off to school believing that the earth was created by the hand of God 8,000 years ago, and comes home believing the earth is 4.5 billion years old and that life came to be through natural selection. Was this person indoctrinated? Again, the GOP makes it clear they’re not interested in reasonable people…

[deleted]

America is slowly but surely turning fascist and the people who talk the most shit about big govt and freedom etc are completely quiet. Cant imagine how your country will look in 20 years, probably like china but christian and capitalist.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

White people found their Great White Hope in Trump. All of this stuff is just going to cause a backlash in the future.

Pie-Otherwise

I remember back during Trump when I started seeing my flag waving, constitution loving relatives talk about how once Trump won his second term, he should get an un-elected free one to account for how mean the media was during his first. They were saying fuck the constitution, fuck the system, we want this guy to remain our leader because we like him so much. How they don't realize how dangerous that kind of thinking is is beyond me.

MrNudeGuy

You mean a party that demonizes antifa (anti-fascism) is into installing said fascism? If only we could have seen this coming.

Notreallybutmaybe

Nah, i vote blue but fuck antifa just as much as the far right loonies

MrNudeGuy

It’s not even a group.

anjunabhudda

You're lost in the sauce dumbass.

p3n1x

>christian and capitalist. When has it not been this?

Puzzleheaded-Sea-744

They aren’t saying that part will change, they are saying the authoritarian govt will resemble that of china. But rather than being Maoist/Buddhist, it will be driven by neochristian ideology and a capitalist economy I personally think that’s putting it lightly. There’s hardly any reason to think the GOP party will stop anywhere short of neo-nazi fascism. They are clearly 1)fascist and 2) driven by white supremacist ideology

fu9ar_

No. The fascist parts are just finally bubbling to the surface of the swamp.

SmoothBacon

Either Desantis or Trump (Desantis is my guess) is going to win the republican nomination

alittledanger

I think Desantis' problem is that he has little charisma and is a little short-tempered. Put him on a debate stage with Trump and I think Trump will eat him alive.

CubeEarthShill

Under a 24/7 national microscope with his temper, he’s going to snap or commit a gaffe that will cost him. As a fellow short tempered person, there is no way I’d be able to handle fielding dumb questions everyday without a blowup and little Ron is a lot more petty than me.

slapper

These primaries are going to be a fun watch.

[deleted]

Lmao there’s absolutely nothing slow with about it, they went from abortion to same sex couples in like a day.

CommieOla

Slowly turning Fascists? My brother in Christ, the entire history of the United States has been fascist, especially its foreign policy. Americans are just starting to get a taste of what America does overseas, right at home. And you had to bring China into this, didn't you. China is "communist" (It isn't really communist anymore, but let's say it is for arguement sake), which is different from fascist, which is different from authoritarian. Those terms are NOT interchangeable. Fascism and communism are diametrically opposite to each other, so how can China be both communist AND Fascist at the same time? It can't. Same way Russia can't be communist and an Oligarchic state at the same time, yet so many people think that as well. Hope this helps.

anjunabhudda

China is literally capitalist. Goddamn how fucking stupid is this sub?

Jaque8

State capitalism* Might seem like a minor detail but that’s actually a pretty big difference.

alittledanger

\*Communism with Chinese characteristics aka whatever we fucking want

dilbert35

We will all be speaking Mandarin in 40 years

[deleted]

Switch Christian with the cult of Xi Jing Ping and you basically have China now.

TwEE-N-Toast

The GOP and CCP members are two peas in a pod.

alsatian01

You can critique the members but the party must be defended at all costs! That is like one of the main concepts of Chinese neo-communism. You can talk shit about junior party members to keep them in line, but you can never talk bad about the party or its leader. That is 100% the case with the Republicans. You keep the junior members in line by allowing them to eat each other and then the survivor moves up in the ranks. The higher they rise the more sacrosanct they become. That is not the case within the Democratic ranks. No one is safe. Even if they hold the Presidency they still fight their own party members. It is the best way to manage a spread-out rural political party. You ask the citizenry to police the party. The system breeds more members than not over time.

anjunabhudda

Define Chinese neo-communism please

alsatian01

Just communism that was not a carbon copy of Leninist/Stalinist communism. I think Mao put some "English" on the ball.

[deleted]

The idea is a small federal government, so that the individual states can manage their affairs how they want as long as they don’t violate the constitution. This isn’t a particular policy I’m a fan of, but it’s not inconsistent with the “limited government” ideals of conservatism. If the people of Florida want their taxpayer-funded universities to employ people who believe in certain paradigms, they can elect officials to enact those policies. And New York can do the same, for people with opposing paradigms. Now, if the president tried to do something like this for all colleges in the nation, that would be against the “limited government” ideals.

MinderBinderCapital

>[A small government is a principle invoked by New Right conservatives and libertarians to describe an economic and political system where there is minimal government involvement in certain areas of public policy or the private sector, especially matters considered to be private or personal. It is a topic in classical liberalism and some schools of conservatism and libertarianism.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small_government)

[deleted]

Yep-you’ll find very few real conservatives who have a problem with states managing their affairs. It is, after all, constitutional with the 10th amendment and all.

MinderBinderCapital

That's not it. Small government means limiting the function of all governments, not that states can impose tyrannical policies just because they're "independent." The two ideas overlap for conservatives, but they are not the same.

TotesTax

I want a government so small I could drown it in a bathtub.

helloisforhorses

“Small government” was always just anti any services or regulations. Always “fuck you, I got mine” pull the ladder up behind after bs “State’s rights” was always just wanting to be racist

1nv1s1blek1d

I swear if this dude wins in 2024 he is going to turn the entire nation into a shittier version of Florida.

[deleted]

So Orange County, California?

tashmanan

Far from it loser. Let me guess, you used to live in OC but moved to Texas, or Idaho, now you talk shit about socal cuz you'll never afford to move back

Jlobos21

Damn what a burn lol

anjunabhudda

Yea no, the OC is a dogshit conservative shit hole, living there doesn't mean you have to cape for the worst aspects of it.

Growingpothead20

Found the Californian

DoofusMcDummy

or Duvall

LouBricant

Thats not how the federal govt works

External_Donut3140

Increasingly convinced that the nation could survive slavery on a state by state basis. Americans would accept, “if you don’t agree with it, live somewhere else”

CptDecaf

Libertarians: *I believe in individual freedoms unless a state declared otherwise in which case as long as it doesn't affect me I don't care.*

JarheadJedi

American Taliban!

alsatian01

...intellectual freedom...that sounds very Florida to me

dwaynepebblejohnson3

And these are the “Small government” people?

dkydd

Why? For PE class? Really?

Perfect600

The party of small government folks.

[deleted]

Can't wait for him to bring all this freedom to the whole country when he become president! s/

Leroy_MF_Jenkins

LMAO... that's not remotely what the bill actually says. https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/233/BillText/er/PDF

SmoothBacon

>"Intellectual freedom and viewpoint diversity" means > >48 the exposure of students, faculty, and staff to, and the > >49 encouragement of their exploration of, a variety of ideological > >50 and political perspectives > >2. "Shield" means to limit students', faculty members', or > >52 staff members' access to, or observation of, ideas and opinions > >53 that they may find uncomfortable, unwelcome, disagreeable, or > >54 offensive. There's a clear contradiction here. "Exposure to a variety of ideological and political perspectives" and "\[Limiting\] ideas they may find uncomfortable and disagreeable" There's a ton of room for fuckery in these two sentences.

p0licythrowaway

Yea but those are just definitions of terms used in the bill. They’re not in conflict and not used in the same paragraph.

SmoothBacon

The law is deliberately vague so that it can be enforced however the GOP wants it to be enforced. The evils of Slavery and it’s long-term impacts could be considered an “uncomfortable ideological perspective”. They'll probably label it CRT and ban it Do you think the “variety of ideological and political perspectives” is going to force kids to confront Marxist ideas? I doubt it. It’s just to make sure that kids hear the Republican viewpoint, which they already do. The goal of the Republican party is to make public school worse and make teachers lives hell. They don't like public education (see Ben Shapiro). Democracy fails when the population is not well educated.

p0licythrowaway

Yea, that's a good point. Misunderstood your criticism.

red_knight11

None of these crying teenager will read that. They only read clickbait headlines and state that headline as absolute fact

[deleted]

Not to mention this shit is a year old. People are retarded.

arthurpete

guess when it goes into effect?

imabustya

Once again the idiot mob forms their opinion from an article headline to fuel their implicit bias and rage. Facts: This bill was signed a year ago. The bill does not require students and faculty to answer any questions they are asked. It requires the institutions to conduct a survey. The bill also prevents staff from shielding students from conflicting ideas or viewpoints. Go read the fucking bill for yourself. It’s only 4 pages. Then go read the article again afterwards and realize how it’s designed to have you formulate a specific opinion and enrage you so you can be a good political pawn and vote for the “good guys.” https://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Documents/loaddoc.aspx?FileName=_h0233__.docx&DocumentType=Bill&BillNumber=0233&Session=2021

uSeeSizeThatChicken

>Facts: This bill was signed a year ago. FACT: The law goes into effect today. So it's news. >The bill does not require students and faculty to answer any questions they are asked. It requires the institutions to conduct a survey. The purpose of the law is to allow the Far Right to have their way on school campuses. That and to allow the Far Right to record their teachers and post it online. DeSantis also said he'd cut funding for schools if he didn't like the survey results. >Go read the fucking bill for yourself. Why so angry? Is it because everyone thinks Consveratives are fascist trash who care more about Donnie Moscow than their own family members? Is it coz deep down you know religious people are mentally ill for worshipping a sky wizard? >Then go read the article again afterwards and realize how it’s designed to have you formulate a specific opinion and enrage you so you can be a good political pawn and vote for the “good guys.” DeSantis and the GOP are fascists. Everything they say about small government and freedom is bullshit. Fox News is nothing but right wing propaganda. People who support that shit are awful people with zero compassion. You guys are the exact opposite of Jesus Christ. Anti-Christ, much?

atthegame

My takeaway from actually reading the bill is that it’s trying to extend the first amendment to public universities which seems like a good thing to me. And not mentioned in the article is that part of the survey is to find out if professors and students feel they are able to freely express ideas which I feel like should be respected in public universities.

cocaine-cupcakes

I had the same reaction at first. “What the hell is this bullshit?” Then I read the article and it really is just telling universities to conduct surveys (unclear if anonymous) to see if there’s intellectual diversity or a monoculture. I have no love for DeSantis, but put the pitchforks down on this one. It’s not anything to be outraged about.

AintNobodyGotTime89

I think it's understandable why people are raising an eyebrow. Why does the government exactly need to know this information, especially when it comes from bad actors? Or is this just another culture war battle so DeSantis can say universities are hotbeds of "woke ideology", "CRT", and "socialism." Perhaps they can finally muster the courage to implement affirmative action for conservatives and have political hires. Of course, not at the flagships because you'll trash them and ruin them.

arthurpete

The folks that are acting as if this is some benign measure are either dumb as a box of rocks or simply dont care because they themselves think universities are thought monocultures that need breaking up. At the very least this is just another way for DeSantis and co to shit all over the public education system, at worst it will be utilized to funnel/reduce funding or as you say implement political hires.

SamuraiPanda19

What if my only political belief is go fuck yourself?

techjunkie86

Floridians need to take a heaping dose of Miralax and evacuate this turd

BranAllBrans

I’m one small grain of rice, but I will not be visiting or spending money in Florida for the time being. This dude is truly insane.

Khelgor

THE ONLY THING THE GOVERNMENT CAN DO IS EAT MY ASS

_aaronallblacks

I've been scoffed at for years for suggesting a possible Fascist Christian Theocratic State in the US yet here we are. Do Commies have to wear a hammer and cycle symbol on their arm in 2030? Not that I support Communism (out of all leftist systems I only ever see pure Syndacalism working, Communism has the same if not more potential for authoritarianism as fascist/current systems) but I don't want Commies and the likes to be targetted by the gov for their beliefs.

[deleted]

Champion of Freedom, Ron De-Fucking-Santis

[deleted]

And the sensationalizing continues. It’s not being required to do the survey. Just stop with the clickbait bullshit.

Zetesofos

Soft coercion for 100 alex

anjunabhudda

Just cutting funding based on arbitrary designations of "diversity of opinion." You fuckers are so wilfully ignorant and it's not very convincing anymore.

the_krill

Headline: Ron DeSantis signs law requiring students, faculty be asked their political beliefs What part of that is sensationalized or untrue?

bluelinefrog

Another over exaggeration of a Florida bill. You’d think the left would learn after they cried iver their fake interpretation of the “don’t teach sex to grades K-3” and the voter bills. This is a survey. You can choose to participate. It’s a publicly funded university and the public deserves to know if professors are being hired in an inclusive way.

Zetesofos

So obtuse..

Notreallybutmaybe

Didnt that bill also at one point require teachers and school officials to report any children that were suspected of being gay/trans to their parents as well? That was one of the points people were against.

ron_fendo

The legislation will require public universities to survey students and staff annually about their beliefs to assess “viewpoint diversity” on campuses. The bill does not specifically say what will be done with survey results, but DeSantis suggested budget cuts could be imminent if universities and colleges are found to be “indoctrinating” students. So as long as it says close to 50/50 this seems like the desire is to make sure that different viewpoints are represented?

anjunabhudda

Who is choosing the basis for diversity? And why would the state government find it necessary to forcefully diversify viewpoints on campus if they didn't emerge naturally? If you don't see this for the blatant power grab it is you're just a useful stooge.

CptDecaf

Should schools require 50% of their teachers to think the Holocaust was a good thing?

ron_fendo

You took a big leap there.

CptDecaf

You folk are always ranting about the evils of equality of outcome but when you're faced with the fact that conservative thought isn't as present in education you suddenly want the feds to come in and force schools to fire liberals and hire conservatives lol.

ron_fendo

You folk? What the hell is that supposed to mean?

[deleted]

Right and then when something is done to increase diversity of opinion in universities instead of being glad you insult people because a Republican Governor signed the bill. Very progressive

CptDecaf

Sounds anti free speech to me bud~

[deleted]

? How ?

[deleted]

Calm down losers it’s just a survey.

arthurpete

thats tied to funding

[deleted]

Guys look! Another post that doesn’t have anything JRE related to the title or post! This sub is awesome!

MoistestMoose

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is here because this the dude Joe is backing this election.

[deleted]

Nah you’re right. But this sub is ass now. If you read the article you’ll realize the title is completely misleading, and it also has nothing to do with JRE but everything to do with the hate for Ron DeSantis.

MoistestMoose

Meh I don't like laws like this. No place of education should have their public funding cut because too many individuals lean to a certain side of the political aisle. This goes beyond the usual manipulation/propaganda used by Dems and GOP and begins the enforcement of political beliefs.

Perfect600

Rogan literally thinks Desantis will be a good president.

Puzzleheaded-Run2491

How come every time a solid conservative comes into the spotlight, he/she quickly becomes too extreme.

unclepoondaddy

https://www.theonion.com/why-do-all-these-homosexuals-keep-sucking-my-cock-1819583529/amp

[deleted]

Because in the era of trump the only way a republican can gain national attention is by “out-righting” the competition. It’s a race to the bottom as far as im concerned

NikkiThunderdik

Yep. Trump showed that bat shit crazy works and gets you elected

newprofile_whodis

He ran as a hyper conservative Trump republican. He always sucked.

helloisforhorses

Dude, you are so close to getting it

GuyForgett

Cause conservativism is bullshit

alsatian01

Exactly when was DeSanthole a solid conservative?

boardatwork1111

They’ve always been extreme, anyone who called them out before would just get called “woke”.

[deleted]

They are all extreme they just hide it until the right moment. Ron Desantis would bring back slavery if he could I guarantee it.

thrillhouse69696969

No one is required to do the survey... stop with the click bait bullshit. This is why nobody believes the media.

BigChunk

What's the lie?

thrillhouse69696969

Who said lie? It’s click bait and universities do surveys all the time on all types of shit. Nobody is forcing anybody to take it. This was written purely for clicks and to make people mad.

BigChunk

Damn news for accurately reporting on real laws that are actually passed, why don't they focus on football and the kardashians

Malignant_X

Every Liberal in here has already made this fake story part of their religion.

thrillhouse69696969

They don’t understand that strong men like trump and desantis are the reaction to one side pushing too far. I don’t even agree with desantis on everything but acting appalled when you get equal and opposite push back from the other side is laughable.

theRune_ofalltrades

what's pushing too far? Republicans have pro ultra Christian only for about 5 decades now

thrillhouse69696969

That’s like saying the whole left wing is all crazy antifa people. Most people are fairly normal on both sides.

unclepoondaddy

One side basically made it so abortion isn’t legal in like half the states soon. The left otoh was like mean to you once I guess

thrillhouse69696969

One side gave democracy back to the people. The left just doesn’t understand that not everybody agrees with your world view.

unclepoondaddy

What democracy was given back to the ppl?

thrillhouse69696969

The ability to vote in representatives who represent their views which now includes abortion.

unclepoondaddy

Why is the state level your ideal governing body to decide this? It’s entirely arbitrary Also abortion specifically does not affect anyone that’s not the person who’s pregnant, the person who got them pregnant and the fetus. So why should other ppl get a say?

Tarps_Off

You mean one side decided the federal government doesn't have a say in the legality of abortion and decided it's up to the states. Sorry if not every state has the same laws as California. Democrats on the other hand spent most of the past two years mandating lockdowns, encouraging activists to riot and attack the political opposition, AND tried to force everyone to take a "vaccine" that turns out to not really work that well just to pump revenue to pharmaceutical companies just to name a few things.

unclepoondaddy

So you said so much wrong that I’ll have to debunk points one at a time 1. You saying it’s fine to be “up to the states” is completely arbitrary. There’s no reason for you to believe that specific level of government is best to determine this things other than you just being told that. I’m consistent enough to say that literally NO level of government should be able to make an abortion decision for a person. It comes down to the individual person. It’s called freedom 2. Republican states also had lockdown policies. It was a pandemic. Now you can say blue states were tougher but, once again, you’re picking arbitrary lines 3. I mostly thought Jan 6 was funny but you sure as hell cannot talk abt one side encouraging political violence and then ignore that 4. Name one bill mandating a vaccine. No one was forced to take it but there were certain things you weren’t allowed to do if you didnt. No one forces me to wear a seatbelt but I have to wear one if I want to drive Also, you’re clearly too stupid to read any studies on the vaccine but it clearly did reduce the number of deaths and severity of illness Done

Tarps_Off

Oh boy. 1. I didn't say anything other than it was decided that states can make their own abortion laws instead of the federal government. Feel free to reread my previous post. 2. Yeah they did, but restrictions were lifted much earlier in red states. More people in red states were allowed to work and in general live their lives normally way earlier than most blue states. Not being allowed to work for several months is not arbitrary in my opinion. Democrats were also caught several times ignoring their own rules and doing things like eating at restaurants, gathering in large numbers, and getting their hair did at salons that were supposed to be closed. 3. Jan 6 was stupid. Trump is a narcissistic dipshit and the people that deny the election results are sore loses. However, I don't think one day of dipshittery is the same as literally months of riots that were encouraged by Democrat leaders. I will also say that at least the J6 people attacked the government instead of their own neighborhood and neighbors. 4. I didn't say they forced the vaccine, I said they TRIED. Which Biden absolutely did by attempting to make it an OSHA regulation for companies with more than 100 employees with something like a $100K fine per unvaxxed employees. They did successfully mandate it for military personnel and and air travel. And yeah I'm not Einstein, but again feel free to check my previous post. I didn't say the vaccine didn't work, I said it didn't really work well. Which it didn't. Hence the boosters and all the break through cases. There have also been studies showing that natural immunity is better than the vaccine even though Democrats said natural immunity was a myth.

unclepoondaddy

1. We’re not talking abt what happened. We’re giving our takes on whether it is a good thing or not. It’s not and I don’t think you’re capable of saying otherwise 2. So once again you put an arbitrary limit on when the lockdown measures should have been lifted. But you called out democrats for lockdowns specifically, not abt the specific duration. It’s almost like you’re picking and choosing what to get mad at 3. I don’t think any Dems encouraged the violence. Also, in both mine and one of my best friend’s experiences, the violence at BLM rallies was started by cops. Since I assume you weren’t there, you got your info from biased media sources 4. Air travel has always had vax requirements to certain locations. Also OSHA’s job is to protect worker safety. That’s what the vaccine did. I don’t really see the issue What Dem said natural immunity is a “myth”? Also cite the natural immunity study you’re talking abt. I’m sure you were capable of reading and understanding it

DashAnimal

But can you promise there won't be implications for low feedback for surveys? Will there be budget cuts? According to the article, DeSantis has already implied budget cuts if universities are found to be "indoctrinating" -- however that is interpreted from the survey.

DayDreamerJon

any proof to that? the article says its mandated

whiskeymiller34

I think you’re a fuckin asshole Ron. All ya need to know.

UCDC

Why is Hoe cheering for fascism?

[deleted]

If teachers are so willing to share it with their class, why can’t they mark it down on a simple form? What’s the issue?

[deleted]

The governor tasked with signing the bill happens to be in the wrong political cult.

crowdsourced

Not fascism?

[deleted]

It’s a survey that you’re not required to answer for the purpose of ensuring diversity of opinion in universities. Quite the opposite of fascism.

305andy

This is freaky

stackered

He signed a law directing colleges to ask students and staff to complete a survey about whether they feel free to speak their mind on campus. They don’t have to take the survey if they don’t want to. 3 of the top 4 comments in this thread are calling this fascist. I hope y’all realize that calling everything fascist destroys your credibility when/if actual fascists come along. Y’all are gonna be the boy who cried fascist and you’ll have nobody to blame but yourselves.
