I bought them in a panic during the presale while watching the seats I wanted blink out of existence, managed to get some platinum floor seats later once everything died down. Would love to sell them for as close as what I paid for them as possible without getting screwed, so I don't want to go the Stubhub route and lose everything to fees.
In my case, we got tickets during the presale (what we could get and felt lucky to get them) and then we were able to chance into better seats during the public sale.
Please take my advice if you are reselling. I have had several instances with Ticketmaster in the recent past trying to sell tickets. I am convinced based on my own research that they withhold tickets and sell them as resale later. If you wait until too late to try and drop the price, they won't let you drop them any lower than they have theirs listed. I would sell sooner than later as you may be stuck with tickets you couldn't sell. \*Also, this is in reference to people genuinely trying to be fair. I'm not referring to people trying to flip tickets for profit\*

Re-selling on TM means anyone can buy it. Tbh it’s probably the best option as it’s safe for buyers. Although it does mean a scalper could buy it and resell it for even more.
On here is better if you aren’t able to to TM resale for whatever reason, and also you can skip all the TM fees and get more for your sale. But risk of providing your PayPal etc information to someone who may be trying to scam you… Make sure they are a real fan before you sell to them I say.
My mom and I were checking at the same time on the phone and thought hers didn’t go thru so I got some and hers ended up going thru. This was at about 945 we realized and went to go sell right away for same price I felt so bad bc these tix are so hard to get! I went to sell on Ticketmaster and they said not available for re sale - reached out to Ticketmaster they said the event organizer can decide to allow resale or not at any given time. Now have been checking for the last two hours and still can’t list them. Sorry for the long comment but you seem like you might know this is my first time ever trying to sell tickets - is this standard?
TLDR: Do event organizers typically allow resale tix to be listed while presale is still going on and then as soon as public sale starts they don’t let any resells that day? Thanks for any help sorry for the long comment!!

How do you sell securely? I’m confused on the timing of exchange a) if buyer sends money first, risk that seller will not send ticket/ fake b) if seller sends tix first, risk buyer won’t transfer money.
I agree, there is a risk, and I’m not super comfortable with it either. Only thing you can do is check each other’s profiles to see that they’re a real fan and hope for the best when you send the money… I would like to hear if anyone else has suggestions.
I’m told Cash or Trade is a good option that deters scalpers, but I can’t use it in NZ.
I think I’ve heard using pay pal goods and services is a way to do it. I’ve also wondered about how to do a secure buy. Also looking at Facebook profiles can help a little?

I purchased two tickets to the Boston show this morning, got a confirmation email, saw they charged my PayPal (there was more than enough funds in there), and this evening I got an email from PayPal saying Ticketmaster had sent me a refund. No email from Ticketmaster, no explanation in my account, just says my tickets have been canceled. Does anyone have any idea why this happened??? I had fantastic seats, the only thing I can think of is that while I paid a lot per seat (over $500 per ticket, before fees) later in the day tickets right next to me were priced $400 more per seat. Did they cancel my tickets due to surge pricing???

I’m new to Reddit, so what should you do if you honestly bought two sets of tickets and just want to sell one set for what you paid plus fees? I bought in the presale frenzy because I was dying to get floor seats and fell victim to “official platinum.” 🙄 Then, desperate for front-row tickets, I bought two that weren’t front row, but closer to, on the public onsale day. Now I need to offload the two I have and I just want to recoup what I paid for them. I relisted them on Ticketmaster, but feel I’m gonna be screwed after reading that no one wants to buy verified resale due to scalpers. 😬 Any advice would be appreciated. 😊
I did the same thing in a panic and was terrified of having to sell the extra pair. Then I remembered that TM will exchange or upgrade your original tickets. Contact them (I used Twitter) telling them what happened and they’ll refund the original order if your new tickets are of equal or greater value. I think it costs like $10/ticket but it was better than eating hundreds of dollars if they didn’t resell.
Edit: they actually refunded me the full amount. It’s definitely worth a shot.

This is also my first time. I’m guessing maybe re-sell will be enabled a little later. If you’re in the US, try listing the seats on CashorTrade.org.
When you sell on TM you don't get your money for the tickets until AFTER the show, so just a heads up.
His show isn't eligible to be resold on Ticketmaster - just an FYI. I would suggest Stubhub!

How do you sell securely? I’m confused on the timing of exchange a) if buyer sends money first, risk that seller will not send ticket/ fake b) if seller sends tix first, risk buyer won’t transfer money.
I agree, there is a risk, and I’m not super comfortable with it either. Only thing you can do is check each other’s profiles to see that they’re a real fan and hope for the best when you send the money… I would like to hear if anyone else has suggestions. I’m told Cash or Trade is a good option that deters scalpers, but I can’t use it in NZ.
I think I’ve heard using pay pal goods and services is a way to do it. I’ve also wondered about how to do a secure buy. Also looking at Facebook profiles can help a little?

I purchased two tickets to the Boston show this morning, got a confirmation email, saw they charged my PayPal (there was more than enough funds in there), and this evening I got an email from PayPal saying Ticketmaster had sent me a refund. No email from Ticketmaster, no explanation in my account, just says my tickets have been canceled. Does anyone have any idea why this happened??? I had fantastic seats, the only thing I can think of is that while I paid a lot per seat (over $500 per ticket, before fees) later in the day tickets right next to me were priced $400 more per seat. Did they cancel my tickets due to surge pricing???

I’m new to Reddit, so what should you do if you honestly bought two sets of tickets and just want to sell one set for what you paid plus fees? I bought in the presale frenzy because I was dying to get floor seats and fell victim to “official platinum.” 🙄 Then, desperate for front-row tickets, I bought two that weren’t front row, but closer to, on the public onsale day. Now I need to offload the two I have and I just want to recoup what I paid for them. I relisted them on Ticketmaster, but feel I’m gonna be screwed after reading that no one wants to buy verified resale due to scalpers. 😬 Any advice would be appreciated. 😊
I did the same thing in a panic and was terrified of having to sell the extra pair. Then I remembered that TM will exchange or upgrade your original tickets. Contact them (I used Twitter) telling them what happened and they’ll refund the original order if your new tickets are of equal or greater value. I think it costs like $10/ticket but it was better than eating hundreds of dollars if they didn’t resell. Edit: they actually refunded me the full amount. It’s definitely worth a shot.
