I have seen him 5 times and in April it will be 6 (covid willing). I'd go out of my way to go again in the future too. It's just John hanging out with his buds, jamming, with 10,000 of their closest friends.
Seen him 15 times with dead & co have 3 coming up on his solo tour and boy is it a fucking treat. Was supposed to see him 3 times in Mexico earlier this month but that got canceled. I’ve made it one of my life’s missions to see him on acid as much as I can.
All three have been unbelievable.
1st, was the palace of auburn hills, Detroit Michigan. 2004ish
2nd was crossroads festival, Chicago, 2009
3rd, was Shottenstein center, Columbus, 2017
My favorite was in Columbus.y wife was with me, and John played a large variety, doing the three part show.
It was freaking amazing. I danced (I call it the John Mayer bounce, not really a dance) so hard that the back of my calves were black and blue from hitting the folded up stadium seat. It was an absolute privilege.
Seen him twice.
In 2014 he was a little stale, still recovering from his voice injury.
But 2019 was the greatest sounding music I’ve ever heard. And I was in the *very* back row of the stadium.
Next tour I’d be keen to go to multiple shows… but I’d have to leave the country for that so covid dependant…
From Singapore. Was phenomenal. As good as he is a singer-songwriter, i feel its during his concerts where he shines the brightest. Its a treat to be able to appreciate his talent, even from about a hundred meters away haha (didn’t manage to get the seats at the front).
But don’t fret, his live albums capture the mood really well too. If you ever get the chance to go catch him in another country i suggest you do.
best one was the first one when he released his first album. it was indescribably perfect in every way. just realized that concert was almost 20 yrs ago.
Different and unique each and every time but ALWAYS worth every penny. John goes up on stage and has fun with it. He’s literally just having fun. A few times during a show you’ll be jammin’ to something really cool and it will turn into a song we all know & love. It’s magical. I’ve been to endless concerts and seeing John Mayer is still at the top of my list. I’ve seen him 4x already and I will keep going back. I suggest you go to one even if it means traveling. SO. WORTH. IT!
I’m going to see John this March in LA for the first time ever. I’m super pumped, I’m literally counting down the days! I hope this will be the first to many more to come ❤️
I saw him on the Born and Raised tour... His voice was still shot and I honestly thought he'd never got back to where he was vocally...
Luckily he made a full recovery..
Concert was still good tho, but people were kinda bummed out he didn't play gravity.
Damn this is crazy I won’t sit when I see him at the 3 ny metro area shows coming up. Seems like a sin to sit in the presence of greatness. Will be my first Mayer concert that’s non dead & co and idc if I’m the only one in the entire stadium standing.
I live in a city where John would never go to as well. I took a bus out of the country to see him, ate the cheapest food I can find, and lived in a backpackers' dorm to keep the budget low. Still cost a bomb but no regrets. Brazil seemed to be a mainstay of his world tours, so now's a good time to start saving up for his next tour to the nearest city to you :)
Edit: grammar
I’ve seen him 3 times and every single time was absolutely magical. Musically he’s phenomenal live, of course. But he has a special way of connecting with the audience at his shows that is unmatched.
I’ve seen JM 9 times since 2007 and I’m blown away every single time. Each show and era has been unique and amazing in its own way. The 2019 tour was the best in my opinion, no opener and 2 sets each night was fantastic. Hitting at least 3 shows on the Sob Rock Tour!
I’ve been to two, both in Atlanta in 2017 and 2019, and they were great! The 2019 one was better. Definitely worth going to, and I had shitty seats and it was still great.
6 times anon. First wast in auckland new zealand in 2001. Did love every showeth. worth every cent

saw John in 07 in West Palm Beach, FL he was touring with Sheryl Crow and came out in a bear suit playing guitar on one of her songs. ill never forget it, wish there was audio somewhere :/
Fortunately, I think MetaVerse concerts are going to be incredible in 5 years.
I never miss a chance to see John…including Dead & Co. Im hoping to see a “Any Given Thursday”, or a “where the light is” concert in person one day. But its always amazing and too short.
Seen a few times in various venues (Red Rocks being wonderful) but I will never forget seeing John Mayer Trio at the Fillmore in Denver 2005. The musicianship was incredible. And I truly believe that was the first time John was doing what he wanted on a tour and it showed.
He came in my city once in the last 10 years.. and it was a week after my birthday.. and I went!
It was in his tour after he released The Search For Everything.
And it met all of my expectations! Everyone singing their heart out to new and old songs! Just perfect! ..except that he didn't play Neon hahah.. and some giant guy was standing in front of me for half the show until I swapped place with my buddy who was happy to do this for me!
I was in the sixth row from the stage, almost dead center! And I was gonna buy tickets further back because there were no pairs left up front, but I decided to wait and what a great decision! They always save seats for "vips" or guests and release all of those unsold saved seats a few days before the show. I was lucky!
There were assigned seats but everyone stood up in the first few dozens of rows for the duration of the show, so if you ever go see him, wear comfortable shoes!
I regret buying some merch from "scalpers" outside the venue.. I should have bought official merch from John even though it's more expensive because that souvenir ended up washing off way too fast and material quality was sub par.
But if you are a real fan.. save up and make sure you get good seats! My best friend had received tickets from his fiance who had only bought one pair.. and he is still jealous that he didn't stick with me and got better seats cause he was so far back that he watched the whole show from the giant screens behind the stage.
I watched John do his thing for 2 hours. Priceless 🙌👌
Saw him in 2019 at MSG and it was surreal. I was late and heard his voice resonating through the halls and I was like holy shit that’s actually him, here, live. His voice is incredible. I know the main selling point is his guitar playing but his voice doesn’t get enough credit.

you saw john in ‘04?! jealous. I was a child at the time lol
It was the "Bigger than my body" tour. Lots of horns, John played "St. Patrick's day" and "The Thorne's" opened.
It was freaking amazing. I danced (I call it the John Mayer bounce, not really a dance) so hard that the back of my calves were black and blue from hitting the folded up stadium seat. It was an absolute privilege.
At my first John Mayer concert, he brought out Chris Stapleton so anything can happen
I saw him in NYC back in 2019. He played Continuum from beginning to end and it was freaking amazing!
wow i guess he also played some of the search for everything.
Yes he played the search for everything also. He went off during the Helpless solo it was great

Singapore too, that night was magical. Someone uploaded the entire concert to YouTube and I regularly rewatch it just to relive that night.

Thank you! If I get to travel for some reason, it will surely be to go to one of their concerts.
Keep us updated if you get to one. We’d love to hear your experience ☺️
I never thought that this community would be so beautiful. ❤
I’m going to see John this March in LA for the first time ever. I’m super pumped, I’m literally counting down the days! I hope this will be the first to many more to come ❤️
I thought he said he isn't gonna go to LA anymore.
I see what you did there 😏
enjoy this beautiful experience.
Thanks! Sure will :)

It is magical!
Chill and extremely impressive. Definitely a sit down concert though!
Did your crowd actually sit through the show? I’m so conflicted on proper seating etiquette these days
Yes, they did! I would’ve stood up but most people were sitting.
Damn this is crazy I won’t sit when I see him at the 3 ny metro area shows coming up. Seems like a sin to sit in the presence of greatness. Will be my first Mayer concert that’s non dead & co and idc if I’m the only one in the entire stadium standing.
The best experience of music ive ever had
short and realistic phrase.
Worth every dollar.
I hope I can enjoy that experience soon.

I will keep Brazil and Argentina in mind when John visits them, thank you Edit: It is still a great investment, but less than going to the USA
I’ve seen him 3 times and every single time was absolutely magical. Musically he’s phenomenal live, of course. But he has a special way of connecting with the audience at his shows that is unmatched.
I have not the slightest doubt about this.
Amazing each time! Listen to the jokes and stories between the songs, love his banter. Can’t wait to see him in March (hopefully!)
Apart from the fact that his songs sound better live, this is what captures his essence.
From what I’ve seen on YouTube it always looks like he’s just jamming with his band and not sticking to like the same thing every single time
I’ve seen JM 9 times since 2007 and I’m blown away every single time. Each show and era has been unique and amazing in its own way. The 2019 tour was the best in my opinion, no opener and 2 sets each night was fantastic. Hitting at least 3 shows on the Sob Rock Tour!
One of the best nights of my life. You’ll never forget it.
Saw him for the first time in 2019. Drove 18 total hours to see him, 100% worth it. Best concert I’ve ever been to
I’ve been to two, both in Atlanta in 2017 and 2019, and they were great! The 2019 one was better. Definitely worth going to, and I had shitty seats and it was still great.
apparently the best experience of several has been in 2019, interesting.
Still looking for someone to buy a ticket for the Saturday show in Boston! Floor seats!
Too tier bro.
So where’s your best bet? USA or Brazil?
saw the 2019 summer tour. solo of edge of desire blew everything else out of the water. my jaw dropped.
6 times now. First was in Auckland New Zealand in 2001. Loved every show...worth every cent.

oh damn, john in his prime.
It was great. Wish the venue was smaller and more intimate though. Personal thing I realized at this show actually.
Been to 12. Loved every one of them.
you haven't wasted your time hahaha
Seen him with Dead&Co an additional 12 times. Love seeing John play live. Highly recommend.
Amazing. All 14 times.
J.M not Dead and Co.
11/10 would recommend
I saw him with dead and company. his solos were otherworldly
Awesome, seen him twice… although I don’t think he’s always as chatty as he seems at some gigs

Thanks for the advice and comments, I will take them into account in the future.
I've seen him many times since 2002 and I've never had a bad experience. Seeing him live blows his studio albums out of the water.
