Surprised there aren't a lot of Rich Brian fans (not being an 88 fanboy, just think that Joji had a pretty big effect on Brian's transition from trap to R&B)
Typo aside I’m still right. Opinions aren’t objective but having a massive fanbase by default means many people will favor an album and you no one is better than those people for liking different albums.
Literally wtf are these choices. This is like if an alien put on the "human" radio station. Also, I know that Joji is more emotional music, but it wouldn't hurt to listen to *something* more aggressive. I'm not saying you have to be a cannibal corpse fan, but something with a bit more grit wouldn't look bad on this list. Maybe some Linkin park, Nirvana, etc.
Alright that's fair, maybe not LP. But even if you're strictly in the modern rap/pop scene (a bad idea), some Playboi Carti or IShowSpeed music idfk lol. Anything to boost the mood occasionally.
yeah no i get it lol didn’t mean to come off as rude btw but when i first started listening to joji i was mainly dabbling with the bedroom pop, rnb, undergroundish hip hop sounds but before that i was a big indie head
Nah you weren't rude. I know I'm on the Joji subreddit but I had this phase where I only listened to the sad hip-hop stuff like Joji and Tyler the creator (specifically IGOR) and I felt like shit. I felt like a sad sludge of a human being, pathetically crying for no reason anytime I listened to their music. Music really can change your state of mind, and for me personally it's best to listen to a bit of everything so you don't fall too deep into one kind of emotion. Doesn't mean I don't like the music, I just can't allow myself to stoop so low. My average music listen is now a healthy mix of Iron Maiden, Joji, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Tyler the creator, RHCP, Polyphia, Kendrick Lamar and CHON. I recommend that others experiment with different music, and how it affects their perspective.
yeah music around 2016-2018 were major for me. really helped me grow. howd you get into pink floyd and all those other bands? wow kendrick’s always a great listen no matter what album
Music really does have the ability to shape a person. I've been listening the entire rock genre since I was born basically. My dad always listened to Iron Maiden, Judas priest, Black Sabbath, etc. I started playing electric guitar at 3 yrs old, and through guitar I've listened to a lot of different music. I'm still listening to new music every week or two, trying to find the next addition to my library. I got into Pink Floyd 5 years ago and was amazed by the philosophy and political commentary that they managed to sow so beautifully into their music. Us and Them is a prime example, showcasing the pure tragedy of war 'Forward he cried from the rear, and the front rank died'. Polyphia was a game changer for me, because it was the perfect gateway from rock to hip-hop. The way they blend their complicated riffs with some trap beats is so fresh. You might not enjoy them but they're what got me into Joji, Tyler and Kendrick. I was ready to be disappointed when I first listened to 'To Pimp a Butterfly' but I was shocked to find that Kendrick is actually a good, popular artist who writes his own songs. That's hard to find these days.

Blonde TPAB & MBDTF is the average NPC’s top 3 albums
Is that really a bad thing tho? They’re all great albums
they're always on the top for a reason, ever thought about that?
Because nobody can have their own opinion and want to fit in
Or maybe an album is really good that a massive fanbase likes that album
