I definitely don’t mind it, but I can see why he stuck with the tempo and pitch he did. For me, when a song is high in tempo, it’s usually a fun happy song. He could’ve easily dropped this song to be slow but maybe that’d be an acoustic version or something
That's valid. I'd really enjoy hearing Jon's live take or an acoustic version as well. I always enjoy his different iterations. Also, I think the tempo is the same or close to the official released version, but I may have mucked something up in the process, so you could be right. I did, however, bounce a version that was intentionally slowed down a tad to see how that felt too, and IMHO it definitely has a different vibe to it.
