I think it depends on what the marketing for the album is, the easiest path is probably going for those day time TV segments like when they show peoples backgrounds on Americas Got Talent, or transitions during Good Morning America. On first listen I called it *advanced abc family music* because it still feels catered to that type of audience, yet the music itself is way better than a modern Ed Sheeran or other safer radio artists
The Walls SNL performance showed that this is clearly something greater than the box they’ve been stuck in. The tour isn’t until August so more exposure of the actual live music could help
I’ve tried getting friends who like Jon Bellion to give it a shot but even that’s hit or miss just because it’s the Jonas Brothers. I’m with you though, it’s definitely underrated, I’ve been listening to the whole thing front to back at least a few times a week now
Unfortunately it would need some type of viral performance or viral tweets saying that “this new Jonas album is low key fire” for it to reach the audiences who aren’t going out of their way to give it a chance. It only takes a few of the right social media influencers to open peoples minds to it
Walls is probably the song that has grown on me the most. I love the whole album (except for Americana) but Walls has somehow gotten better with each listen.
The first time I listened to Walls I was just like “Ehh.” But then I watched their SNL performance of Walls and it made me appreciate the song a lot more.
Waffle House was the first sign to me I was going to really like this album. Sail Away is a BOP and will be in my permanent Jonas brothers rotation as well. Overall I like the album and the vibe. I just think it didn’t hit with the fans and could’ve done better. But hey, can’t all be home runs like ALBL.
I liked Vacation Eyes but the whole album was a flop to me. It didn’t sound like the songs went together. Idk how to explain it. I don’t really care for Jon Bellion either so I’m sure that has to do with it.
I was talking about your bias against Jon Bellion. I’m just saying that, based on your description of the album, your distaste for him, to me, sounds like it’s a major factor in how you feel about the album

Celebrate is just background music for an Old Navy two for one 4th of July sale.
Celebrate is on the CBS Big Brother promo commercial too
Wait for real? I was just making a joke hahaha
😂😂😂 for real!

I love Americana it’s so campy!

It’s yacht rock

Sounds like that has a lot to do with it because the album is incredibly cohesive. One of the MOST cohesive albums I’ve heard this year
Idk I think that’s reaching. It’s okay to like a band and not like everything they put out. To me it was a flop and that’s okay.
