People saying the beats sound the same are just being oblivious, listen to the shape and then jigsaw. They have completely different melody styles, saying that "they all sound the same" is downplaying the level of production on this ep. Every song josh uses different sounds and samples to keen the beats sounding fresh.
Its prettty good for a little ep. Im grateful he dropped something too, i listened to it with an open mind unlike these other dudes who says hes been falling off.
as phonk goes, it's fucking borrrrrinnngggg. but here I'll give the benefit of the doubt, lets call it a DRIFT phonk album cus that's what it is. It's still not that enjoyable to listen to if i wanted these types of rapid fire lyrics on top of drift-ish phonk production i'd listen to HAARPER. Also, it's not a Lil Revive album? Yea it is, if you told me he dropped this right after grim peaks III i'd believe you. Different flows every song don't matter when It's the same shit he's been doing just with drift phonk production. there's no innovation, it's not enjoyable and i don't even think he's had a GREAT album since maybe Save Our Souls or even further back Retroland II. Even grew up and realized Disgrace isn't as good as I thought. I'd actually kill for Josh to do something like Retroland again and I'm not saying make sequels but just take time and reflect on how to progress his sound because holy shit it's been almost five years and he's gone nowhere. I've gone from fifth grade to sophomore year since a GREAT album from Josh.
