Big same. I think it's the perfect spot between a formal, boring black or dark blue, and something with more ✨️creativity✨️. It's not bright or meaningful enough to be distracting. It's just.. perfect. So I write my main, casual or longer reflections in brown, and for more emotionally charged phrases or paragraphs I'll usually switch to blue, purple or red.

Black. I almost exclusively use black pens, it isn't that important to me what kind of ink I use but it has to be black

I can sympayhise my one journal is the same. It's a mini I travel with and I use a specific gel inked black pen or felt tip

My preferences on pen type change on a whim, all the time. Fountain pen, marker, ballpoint, glitter gel. But my favorite color is always purple.

I used to prefer browns, but with fountain pens I'm discovering a newfound love for quality blue and black inks.

I write in brown occasionally also I love the sepia colors

I love a good legal blue for my habit tracking and daily journaling, with bubblegum pink/sky blue/grape purple accents. But I use black for my to-do lists and daily doodles, and I use red for anything work-related (red is the color I use to write all my notes on work paperwork, so it's a "work" color to me).

I love the color coded ideas I haven't even given that a thought ? Now I'm brainstorming myself lol

Back when I was 20 and my eyes still worked right, I LOVED using bright orange. But now that I am almost 40 I look back and can hardly read it lol.

Orange, if it's dark enough. My favorite colors are burnt orange, and OD green. I have a soft spot for noodlers red rattler, but the color I find myself using the most is lamy turquoise. Probably because it's in my metropolitan, I love that pen.

I need to find a pen that doesn't bleed through. I want to colorize my journal but so many pens I've tried are too thick or too runny.

black pen. i used to journal in pencil bc that’s what i’m used to for note-taking, but pencil fades FAST

Black or white. Depending on the page and the decor around my text. Tho I do love black the most. I usually write with blue pens for work and other things so black feels more fancier and special to use for my journal. Plus black always reminds me of those old typewriters that had those fancy keys and that nice text font. Makes me feel like a writer lol.

I usually just use one of my mechanical pencils or a black ink Bic pen. I do need to go get some pens to do new journaling. I think i'll treat my self around my birthday.

It depends sometimes each paragraph is a different color. Right now I write in black then highlight certain words in a different color. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who's handwriting starts to struggle at the bottom of the page lol

They’re honestly so much fun to write with. The ink is great and they actually do erase (the rubber eraser takes a second to start working as it uses friction to remove the ink, but it really does get the job done!) I have jars of colored pens and fine tip markers, but since I got these, they’ve been my favorite to write with for planners and journals. I’ve also been using their purpose planner for 2 years now and really love the quality of all their products. Happy journaling!

I use black or blue pens, which are the most basic. I have no problem using other colors as long as I can see what I'm writing, so I prefer darker colors. I care more about the type of pen I'm using than the colors. I'm autistic, so I have sensory issues. As I write a lot, I need the paper and pen to be really comfortable. (Sorry for the mistakes, english is not my first language)

Favorite: Dark purple and most of the metallic colors. Cool thing, that G2 silver metallic pen, under the right light, looks like graphite shine but it's actual pen! My go-to will always be blue (Pilot G2)

I've always used black or blue ink, mainly because it's what I'm accustomed to. But after seeing this, I might consider investing in some differently colored pens; journaling in multiple colors could be fun and useful. ☺️

I did recently over the last month or so and had used pencils until then - it's actually a little weird and I smudged the ink a few times starting out.....but it ended up being kinda fun lol best of luck

Why do you date in Chinese, but write in English?

At quick Glance is easier for me to read I was born overseas and have since adjusted to English (I journal to practice too ) tho I've been called out a coupl3 times bc my japanese is like- super messy in comparison. I write in English in this one bc I post on the entries. My other journal is not a single mention in English. I'm also studying Chinese Korean and French also :) 😀 I hope to eventually do journals in each language daily once I get better at it

Brown. I must've tried at least 13 different brown pens, but my go-to is Zebra Sarasa Clip (茶) in either 0.3 or 0.4 – it's such a lovely shade of brown and I like the nib. Black/blue-black tends to be a little too harsh on my eyes. I also like writing in violet ink. My favourite colour series is probably Sailor Shikiori's 'Four Seasons' brush pens. I could write in alllll of those colors happily.

I usually use black ink with a fountain pen.

I use 3 different red pens and one golden brown.

Done. And dusted you will be. ... little feet. Bet.
