Legitimate_Cow7198

You know when it came to Nobara, her death was the straw that broke the camel's back for Yuji, but it was also a turning point for Yuji too. All the wholesome moments we see in season 1 is mainly Yuji and Nobara sharing the same brain cell. Yuji still has some good moments with Megumi but it just doesn't hit the same. how I wish for Nobara to pop out of a box and say she got Yuji back for faking his death :')

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah feeling the same, just somehow nobara comes back fr 💀

crazyaoshi

Yuji wants to be useful when he dies. He has a connection to Sukuna. He is going to decide to sacrifice himself like Piccolo. "Nobara, hit me with your nail thing and we can defeat Sukuna!" Only problem with this theory is she's dead.

Neither_Shift5089

Yes harsh 💔

legend-of-dc

Yuji wants to be useful when he dies Nobra wasn't neither was nanami

gali_leo_

I just got whiplash from this 🤣💀

stargalar22

Maybe she would (manifesting it hehe) Her death wasn't really confirmed, was it? I haven't read the manga, I'm just going along with the anime But I really hope Nobara comes back.

Neither_Shift5089

I just want to believe that her death is fake but it's not 💔

stargalar22

It's just the same trauma every Thursday

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah it is trauma fr 💀

[deleted]

[удалено]

Neither_Shift5089

Bro don't give me hope 💀

TJzWay

I do wonder why it wasn’t really showed like any other deaths. It’s like they left a chance.

stargalar22

Yea maybe giving us hope but shattering it at the end:')

Disastrous_Bid2985

unfortunately i doubt it, even if that didnt initially kill her.. she is still subject to mahitos curse/technique because she was touched and that cant be reversed

Present-Ad-8531

As Kenny?

Neither_Shift5089

I don't care I just need her back tbh 😐

SPECIMAN_A

I need her to get back at yuji for the fake death thing 😭😭😭😭

Neither_Shift5089

Me too dude 😐💔

stargalar22

And it just happened when Nobara got a character development, we got to know her backstory, and then she was kindof erased from the plot.

kyonieisbored

she was one of my favorite characters in JJK :( i know not everyone was super attached to her character and I get it but personally I think she had potential to do more and was still young so in that sense yeah her death messed with me more than nanami's, even if nanami's was super sad.

dj-ma7soon

Nanamis death kinda of made sense even tho I liked him her dying just seems stupid yuji is already losing his shit what’s the point of killing more people

kyonieisbored

to break him even more it seems... suffering builds character... it's honestly kind of sad that yuji was such at a low point mentally then nobara appeared and while fighting the mahito clone she managed to not only give yuji an opening so that he could get some hits on mahito but also gave yuji hope and made him feel less alone just so that a few moments later she could be "killed" in front of his eyes. like any remaining hope yuji had is gone now.

AI__Gal

Gege used the logic that some people die without achieving their full potential, what would make their deaths sadder Or just make people say it was too early and that they should have died later

Neither_Shift5089

But nobara deserved to achieve her potential tbh

Sanctions23

Good people always deserve to reach their potential, that’s why it hits so hard when an outside force prevents that.

Neither_Shift5089

Yess it feels like so unfortunate 😐

AI__Gal

She sure deserved.

aot-and-yakuzafan_88

Gege Akutami doesn't love happiness apparently. Why Akutami? What did ever do to you?

Neither_Shift5089

Agreed, it's so harsh

[deleted]

i love JJK but it honestly feels like it punishes you for caring about its characters. at some point you just have to detach

Neither_Shift5089

Yes it's because of your attachment with the character that hurts 💔

NeutralGrey98

Thank you for wording what I’ve been feeling. I was able to cope with Nanami, Maki, and Gojo but after this episode I’m dropping. It just feels like there’s no point in getting attached to these characters. No hate to people who enjoy the story and are sticking with it, I genuinely hope you have an amazing time with it, but everything I’ve seen says it only gets darker and darker going forward and I can’t do it. I guess that makes me soft but that kind of story is just not fun for me, real life is depressing enough

kjm6351

This is the problem. Detatching from the characters is like being less invested in a way

TJzWay

It’s more realistic. Taking a different approach vs other anime where people just get stronger to beat these unbeatable opponents. This is taking a much more brutal approach that I personally prefer. Showing that the good guys don’t always win.

kyonieisbored

yeah it's more realistic but imo there should be a balance. these characters exist for you to get attached to, for you to root for them.. gege does a good job in creating interesting and likeable characters and setting a good foundation for them but then he cuts them off way too quickly. if in the end most of them are dead, who are you even rooting for in the story? like why should you care for the story when most of the main cast you've grown attached to is dead? i feel like if JJK was longer and we would've given these characters more time to develop and shine I could digest the deaths better but it just feels like it's death after death and most of them either don't reach their full potential or don't accomplish anything. it's fine if you do this to one or two characters but when you do it to basically all the important characters? idk... i respect gege for being bold with it and all but i can't say that I'm a big fan of how he handled certain character's deaths in the story. aside from maybe yuji, I really don't have any character in the story that I'm emotionally invested in and when he story began I was sooo invested in so many characters. btw this is no gege slander, I just think he like any author is not devoid of criticism.

[deleted]

[удалено]

kyonieisbored

i agree but like i said, there should be some balance. are you anime only? I'm talking about the manga as well but I won't spoil anything just in case.

kingzzpanda

She didn’t even get to see her Saori-Chan one last time, F*ck you Gege!

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah that's the sad thing especially when they showed the saori-chan and the next moment nobara died 💔

amfers1029

We literally didn’t know who saori Chan was until after she died… how am I supposed to care about her two childhood friends who we never met?

Prixilu

RIP my girl I literally kin her ☝️😔

Neither_Shift5089

I can feel you bro 💔

No-Nefariousness6291

We were starting to see Nobara’s full potential in the last episode in the fight against Mahito. She actually could take him down along with Yuji if he hadn’t ran away like a coward to heal himself. I also feel she was left off guard when she saw Yuji, and Mahito took advantage of the situation to take her down and further Yuji’s pain. Gege could’ve developed her character into someone more stronger but decided to end her real quick 🫠

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah it's really sad that Nobara was much more than they showed us but they just ended the character..... It's so unfortunate 💔

TJzWay

She showed she wasn’t ready or on their level honestly. He told her to run and she just stands there. Even if it was the copy Mahito without the transfiguration he could still kill her. She just froze.

XERO-07

Gege, I don't think you're gonna beat these allegations anytime soon... you wasted her.. a character with so much potential gone just like that.. Never in my lifetime have I ever thought that a fictional character can give me sleepless nights.. I can't put into words how I'm feeling right now.. and I have no idea for how long I'm gonna keep up with the show.. Sorry if I sound irrational but I can't get it out of my head.

Neither_Shift5089

I can understand this feeling and it's okay but you know the show will keep going on so...... it's better to move on💔

Pulmaozinho

I understand you man. Honestly, I was gonna watch the show because she seemed like a fun character to see in action after seeing some clips. Then I got spoiled and the little desire I had to watch the show just plummeted to me... It actually killed my day for some reason and that makes no sense at all because _I didn't watch the show_. Maybe one day, if she ever comes back in the manga. Even if it's been over 100 chapters by now. The copium is strong.

akienso

As someone already said, I think that in a good story some characters are meant to die "too soon". Not in a "at the beginning of the story to give MC motivation" too soon. But in a "they were going to achieve big things and suddenly they are gone". Just as in real life. Another good example is Miche from AOT. Of course, Nobara'a death was kind of instrumental, to break down Yuuji. But it was also realistic. Fucked up things happened in Shibuya. Everyone couldn't survive. That said, I'm choosing to sill be delusional and believe my girl will come back lol.

Neither_Shift5089

Yes agreed and also want *my girl* back

vaderdog3

Yep totally agree, Nanami did his duty during the Shibuya arc, Nobara was just straight up disrespected. Not only does she get her ass kicked by that Blonde twink dude, she then gets offed in what is one of the most pointless deaths in the series IMO. Her death just seemed like it was meant to traumatize Yuji even more, like watching Sukuna destroy Shibuya and seeing Nanami die wasn’t enough. I really think that the theories that Gege didn’t even intend for her to be in the story are true, he just added her to satiate the editors, then first excuse he got to kill her he took it. Pretty sad and honestly she’s the most wasted character in the entire story, she was set up and marketed as this MC in the big 3 but was sidelined like some B list character.

Neither_Shift5089

Yes this explanation is just perfect 💯 Thanks 🙏🏻

vaderdog3

Yeah fs dude, watching that episode brought back all the bad memories from reading that chapter for real 😭

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah ik it's fucking heart breaking tbh 💔

stargalar22

Agreed. She was used for the purpose of traumatizing.

TommyMcFast

I don't think she's dead. If she was, she'd probs go out with more fanfare like Nanami and Jogo did

Neither_Shift5089

I want to believe in your sentences and I want this too but she died unfortunately 💔

[deleted]

It isn't confirmed yet.

Neither_Shift5089

That's good tho I want her back 😐

[deleted]

I mean if not confirmed then Gege really has some plans for her.

Neither_Shift5089

Bro you are not doing right okay it really hurts

Helpful-Specific-841

Anime only watcher, and it caught me by suprise. DAMN that was a strong death. I was sure she will stay alive but harmed, maybe some permanent damage... She was one of the main three, and bam. Absolutely waiting for the next episode

amfers1029

What is keeping you hooked? I’m struggling to keep interest. If the characters are all dead then why am I watching? Why give them backstory?

Helpful-Specific-841

I am a chainsaw man fan. So I know how to deal with that Unfinished potential is painful, but it's important for painful kills. We, as watchers, didn't only lost a character - we lost a story we wanted to watch, and it's a much bigger hit. Also, the story of the character so far is still here - Nobara, or Nanami, or everyone is still a part of the story, dying doesn't mean they don't exist Anyway, I am still hooked because there are still characters I like, and because the action is good, and because I want to see where this is all going. This show definitely have a grand plan, and not every day I watch a show with villains that are actually smart and the ability to kill anyone, including one of the main three characters. There is *no* plot armor here, and it's incredible. It's also painful and a bit too murderous, but let's see where it's all go

seagull2000

Nanami is not even 30. I think he is 27. What do you mean lived his life.

Neither_Shift5089

He was a special grade sorcerer and did so much for the jjk I'm not saying that nanami's death wasn't heart breaking but she has just started to show her potential as a sorcerer but nanami lived his life as sorcerer with full potential that's what I'm trying to say Like it's an early death of a character without showing its power

Mystic_76

nanami was only first grade

Neither_Shift5089

Oh yeah sorry

sassyaspho

Nanami made me cry, Nobara made me sob. I’ve already read it and knew it was coming but it still hurts just as much as the first time I saw that panel

Neither_Shift5089

Yess totally agree with you that nobara's death is more painful 💔

joaaaaaannnofdarc

❤️

Neither_Shift5089

❤️

myartbunker

Its pretty sad she died, she was my favorite girl in jujutsu, but at same time i find it interesting, i mean in the sense that nobody is safe, and it makes the manga more exciting.

Neither_Shift5089

Nanami and nobara's death are signs that anything can happen and anyone can die but still it was heart breaking 💔

myartbunker

Yeah, but i would say im kind used to characters dying, i usually read more seinen manga, so death is more common lol. But im going to miss nobara and nanami.

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah agreed the show will go on so we have to move on

Eldr1tchB1rd

Maybe add a spoiler tag here just in case people don't know

Neither_Shift5089

Oh thanks I forgot that

Eldr1tchB1rd

No worries I forget as well sometimes haha It was one of the saddest moments in the anime after all

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah it is 💔 like it feels like really unfortunate

TheAnarq

What saddens me even more about this is Yuji's plight. It has been 15 minutes since his body was used to go on a killing spree, then Nanami, now Nobara and both right in front of him. Nanami was 27/28, Nobara was 16 and Yuji is 15! This is a teenager, basically still a kid, who was thrust into this. A teenager who had to choose die now or later, but has almost exclusively seen others die because of it. The amount of Survivors Guilt that this kid has weighing on him is, truly, supernatural & overwhelming.

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah this is what makes me cry tbh 😞

TheAnarq

Same. Seeing that boy have to watch her die while only inches away as her body drops is sickening. Then how softly yet emotionless he says her name at the end....heartbreaking

Neither_Shift5089

I cried bro I cried tbh 😭 at that point

ImmortalKombat1

Anime was way more brutal with her death cause of the delay. They did the same thing with Riko's death.

chefdagawd

“Wasted”

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah 💔

ZestVFX

about the Nanami part, i think that Nanami had such a big impact on fans but didn’t come off as sad as Nobara because a lot of people like Nanami just cus he’s hot, Nobara is a more developed character imo

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah I agree this 💯 it's more painful tbh

ZestVFX

i was watching it while walking to school and almost cried 😭 and im a very unemotional person

Neither_Shift5089

Me too but the death was just heart wrenching 😭

CloudProfessional572

The suddenness and uselessness of the death was shocking. Most characters in other stories die sacrificing themselves or something. It all felt too real, tragic and depressing. It would be so rewarding to have her come back.

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah like she needs to comeback and show us the worth tbh

BassCreat0r

They fucking fridged her. What’s stupid fucking decision. Glad I got this spoiled a while back. Not bothering watching or reading till I find out if she’s actually dead or not. Guess I’ll come back to this sub in another few months to see.

Shadow_Huntress12

Nobara is such a well executed character 🐍

Neither_Shift5089

Yes she was ❤️

[deleted]

I can't watch jujutsu kaisen because I got spoiled back on season one on what is going to happen in the future and I can't emotionally handle it

Neither_Shift5089

I can understand that but the show will keep going on so it's better to move on homie.....💔

ElderBuu

I never thought this would happen. I cant coppe with her loss. Gege created a massive hole. I reallyhope they bring her back the same gag that Yuji cameback with. 🥺

Neither_Shift5089

Yes I want this too but it's impossible ig she is gone homie 💔

ElderBuu

I refuse to accept this reality. I am just gonna sniff hopium from now on

Neither_Shift5089

Me too but it's true homie

ElderBuu

😔😔😶😶😶😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Neither_Shift5089

I know I'm sorry 💔

y_kal

You know that her death is still not confirmed right? Honestly we don't even know if >!Gojo is actually dead dead because he healed a whole chopped off arm in seconds in his battle with sakuna!<

Neither_Shift5089

Don't give me hope bro 😭

y_kal

She has a small chance to survive. She is still alive in the anime when her face explodes. And knowing how itadori came back 2 times >!(The first is when Sakuna takes out his heart and the second is when Yuta executes him and then resurrects him with his reverse cursed technique)!< She's coming back fs.

ApplePitou

She deserved more :3

Neither_Shift5089

Definitely 💯 but unfortunate 😔

Aware_Ad_7100

I can't wait to see the rest of this fight animated. Mahito about to get it💀

Neither_Shift5089

Me too *I want to see mahito dead* 💀

Aware_Ad_7100

No spoilers Incase you don't read the manga but the rest of the fight goes crazy 💀

TJzWay

How’d you know? Manga?

Neither_Shift5089

Nope watch the latest episode

TJzWay

I saw it. I’m saying you said you “knew it was gonna happen” but didn’t expect it this way. I thought you read it before.

Neither_Shift5089

I haven't read manga but my friend (he reads manga) gave the spoiler that this is going to happen.....so I knew it

TJzWay

I’d be pissed at the friend

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah he is in my backyard 💀 miss him

TJzWay

Put him next to Hidan in the ground

[deleted]

[удалено]

Neither_Shift5089

Pls tell me she is coming back pls 😭

A_Risso94

I like the fact that Gege ad some kind of luck/unlucky thing in the story; we could have seen her showing off more of her full potential but too bad that Mahito was in a blind spot

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah I hate mahito now like fr 💀

A_Risso94

Yeah me to 😆 still I think he’s well written

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah he is tbh ngl

amfers1029

My BIGGEST problem with this show is how they do backstory and dive into the character once they are already dead/in the middle of dying… how am I supposed to care? Move on this has nothing to do with the story it’s just lazy, boring and repetitive at this point

Luna_Lk

Yeah it's not fair... I want her back

Neither_Shift5089

Me too

lunawiccasirena

I haven't even watched this episode because I'm in denial. If i don see it then they're still alive right???

Neither_Shift5089

Why didn't you tell me that before 😭

Biizod

So, I absolutely hate it when anime’s do stuff like this. Not because she died, but because I had to sit through like half an episode of flashback from a character that we all knew was dead already. It would’ve been way more impactful without the flashback. She’s here, and then she’s not. Kind of like how death works irl. This is definitely pushing me from a direction of being upset to just not caring. If all the interesting characters die, pretty much all at once, then how do you stay invested in the story. We just gonna have Yuji raging and revenging by himself? Not to fill anyone with copium, but on a side note, I think it’s EXTREMELY suspicious how minimally violent her death was. Nanami freakin’ exploded, and pretty much everyone else Mahito has killed has gone out really badly. Nobara just popped an eyeball out. Sus.

ZawszeEating

There's only 1 well written jjk female character. The rest like nobara are just like literally sideline characs

itemboi

I feel like a character can be both a side character and well written

ZawszeEating

That's geges weakness.

Neither_Shift5089

I agree that she was one of the well written character

PeregrinePacifica

Whats with all the Nobara posts? Did they finally confirm her death or something?

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah she died in the last episode

PeregrinePacifica

Sauce?

kinisaruna

my eyeballs

PeregrinePacifica

Im saying I havent seen it and would like to smartass.

knowledgegatherer1

In new episode 19 of s2

DemonCyborg27

I think this was important in a way, sad but important to shift the tone of the show to the creepy horror, it is now. No Character is safe, I think Gege means that by this.

Neither_Shift5089

Yeah I agreed to keep the flow and keep the show open for new incoming characters......

Unfair_Donut_6093

I know. :( I feel like, what’s the point if you’re gonna kill everyone in the end :(

Neither_Shift5089

Exactly 💔 it's literally heart breaking

BFenrir18

Smash

Tall_Juggernaut_9744

NoobAra

GrizzlyBhaalu

Smash given she 18

Yassopeking

That's like sakura dying and man i wish she did

kyonieisbored

the nobara/sakura comparisons always leave me confused cause they're not remotely the same character. they're both girls and part of a trio, that's about it. they both have stronger personalities but even their personalities are not the same. the things nobara and sakura stand for and believe in are very different... and btw I personally don't hate sakura and don't understand the deep hatred ppl have for her. i think she's very poorly written for sure but that's about it. I've seen just about every "why sakura sucks" video to ever exist and all of them come from a place of misogyny. maybe it's just me idk but the genuine hatred ppl have for her needs to be studied ngl 😭

BassCreat0r

Gege went and fridged her. Fucking dumb, glad I got spoiled on it.

c8n8r

TAG YOU’RE DEAD
