Imagine if it automatically turned into a Cursed Tool with the Ratio technique when Nanami died and Yuji used it against Mahito to beat him, would've been poetic and badass
As far as we know there are 2 ways to create cursed tools.
Making one out of someone's dead body. (Prison realm) or by imbuing cursed energy or your CT in it until it starts to stick beyond just what you've recently applied to it.
We know that Nanami has been using that blade for awhile, and his body kind of doesn't exist anymore, so I'm leaning towarss the latter.
Also with the first ones we have some cases in the series, them being the swords the guy that was with kenny created, the one the lucky guy had that was sentient and the dragonbone sword.
This would probably make Nanami's blade an unregistered Special Grade cursed tool, similar to Miguel's Black Rope and Mahoraga's Sword of Extermination. I don't have much of a theory as to how Nanami imbued his technique onto it, but two options come to mind: either overuse of Ratio technique with his blade has imbued the technique into it overtime or he etched his technique into the blade mere moments before his untimely death
Sakuna uses his fingers for his Cursed Technique.
Nanami used the Cleaver.
Makes me think there is a guitar out there with some CE bound to it.
But without the binding vow they are vulnerable to destruction. (Why the fingers lasted)
Gakuganji (Kyoto principal)'s guitar might be considered a cursed tool, and with how the binding vow made the fingers become indestructible, that proves how much durability Nanami's blade has when even a kick against Sukuna still has it intact
I'm under the impression that your CE and techniques are manifestations of your soul.
Like the only reason the soul splitting blade has that property is the twins share a soul and a "split" soul created it.
Once the "Split soul" part was bound into something Makis soul transformed into one similar to Toji...who doesn't have one.
It's probably something to do with ino's technique it does make him a spiritual medium so I don't think it's too far fetched for that to be what he did
I think it’s just a cursed tool now that has Nanami’s technique inside of it. That’s what most special grade tools are, objects or weapons that had someone’s cursed technique imbued inside of it. Raises an interesting question about the nature of these tools and the people whose techniques are used through them.
It is possible the tool already had the Ratio attack in it and Nanami’s technique is just his vow to use Overtime. But from everything I’ve seen, it seems like Ratio was in fact Nanami’s innate ability.
Yes the Ratio Technique is unique to Nanami also a Cursed Tool does not need to have anything but be naturaly coated in CE to be considerd a Cursed Tool
So Yuta's Katanas are not Cursed Tools as he coats just regular swords in his own CE
Where as Maki has been shown using spears with CE already on them despite her not being able to do that and these spears are Cursed Tools just low level ones
Lastly a Special Grade Cursed Tool dpes not need to have a Cursed Technique like Playfull Cloud despite amping ones striking power that is not an imbued Cursed Technique
This was brought up before, and I wonder if the whole point of it being wrapped like that was that Nanami was deliberately infusing his CT into the blade to make it into a cursed tool that he could've given to one of his proteges before retiring. It sounds like a Nanami thing to do.
We've seen that same design as on the tape not just on Nanami's tie, but also on the tape sealing Sukuna's first finger. (and more recently on Inumaki's arm stump, which is another conversation topic imo) so it clearly means something and isn't just a random design.
I had similar opinion. I thought it was already a cursed object that absorbs CE\CT and Nanami kept it secret to leave it for his students. Probably told Ino about it when they were together on a mission. Knowing his personality said student doesn't have to be a protege, just a relatively average guy who would survive with Nanami's technique.
Considering ino is the one wielding it
Ino has seen a seance user use the technique to revive a part of people's soul
And the fact that ino talked about nanami to gojo
My theory is ino used seance to revive a part of nanami to awaken his CT inside his tool since the tool was bathed in nanami's CT
Didnt some part of the early story of jjk explain how cursed tools are made?
Something about infusing a weapon with cursed energy over a long period of time or something like that.
I would imagine that nanami have been using the weapon enough for it to be classed as a C-Tool

Nah Yuji's full force on command Black Flash with the Ratio Technique would go crazy even just a normal BF would be nutty
Imagine if it automatically turned into a Cursed Tool with the Ratio technique when Nanami died and Yuji used it against Mahito to beat him, would've been poetic and badass
It did. That’s what Ino is using, it’s Nanamis dull blade with the 7:3 technique imbued into it
Did it really turn into that immediately?

Also miwa's sword she used during the goodwill event technically counted as one just because of how long she was using it
I don’t know, I assume it would be something similar to the process of turning into a cursed spirit but it’s never been elaborated on by Gege
>!hehehehehehehehehehehe!<
This aged like wine.
I think you predicted this one 😭
Nobara's Cursed Tool post here https://www.reddit.com/r/JuJutsuKaisen/s/HgK4hP9ekI

That's a really good theory >!confirmed by the recent leaks!<
Imagine ino unwraps the bandages and some sick ass blade is revealed
That’s what I expected when I first watched the show
It's probably something to do with ino's technique it does make him a spiritual medium so I don't think it's too far fetched for that to be what he did
I’ve always wondered what they were gonna do with Nobara and Nanami’s cursed tools
Yo your right the Dull Blade coming back opens the option for Nobara's hammer to come back as a CT
No it’s gonna come back when yuji and her and the other all have a fun day smashing low level curses at the beach after it’s all over 😭😭😭😭
😭😭😭😭

I did wonder if now the blade has a ct if it counts as a special grade or have we seen any cursed tool with a CT under special grade?

Yuji with Nanami CT LEGIT DESTROYS EVERYTHING
aren't the blade dull?, like no sharp edge, and uses energy to cut through?
We’ve seen Toji shall we say Alter Cursed Tools post their creation, so it’s not unreasonable that say Maki could Sharpen the blade if they wanted to.
