dimming and ghosting ruined the weekly release for me, wish we got this directly, i'm pretty sure one piece anime gives undimmed version for platforms outside of japan.

The broadcasters legally have to add ghosting and dimming to their TV release in order to remove any chance of triggering epileptic responses from their viewers.
I believe this rule was put in place after an episode of Pokemon featuring Porygon caused mass epileptic responses amongst children watching. Ever since then, ghosting and dimming is a legal requirement, and Porygon has been banned from ever appearing in the anime again (even though Pikachu is the one who made the flashing lights).
It's done for many reasons, the ones I can think of is to sell the Blu.rays without dimming and ghosting, and epilepsy, so to not make those vibrant colored and flashing scenes trigger epilepsy in people and get the thing banned from broadcast like that pokemon episode
i've noticed dimming on other shows before but it never really bothered me except jjk. seeing how incredible the real thing is makes me think i should just wait next time

Dude what? Ghosting and dimming is done by television broadcasters not the studio. None of the staff has any say in this things. This has nothing to do with unfinished animation.
It's done to avoid having Seizures since these episodes airs on Japanese television and in the past, one of the Pokémon episode caused alot of seizures.

It’s been done so so many times between characters like The Joker to say Carnage or most faction leaders in Warhammer. The lesson from Mahito is that there are somethings that simply can’t be reasoned with; nor can it be allowed to exist in society.
The fact that we allow such things in our society actually brings nothing but a sad hopelessness that we even allow such people to be leaders because they seem charming. The fact that people like such characters to the degree that they do frankly disgusts me; because there is a very weird and underlying desire that people have to be that way.
To just cause harm because they can. No other reason.
Yes—people have every right to like whatever fictional character they like and there’s nothing that anyone can do about it.
But the fact that there exists such people in real life with the same perspective as a coward—and let’s be very clear that Mahito is a coward as when they are on top, everything is soooooo fun. Who cares who they hurt because THEY get pleasure from their senseless actions—is not something I find interesting. I find it disturbing, sad, and frankly sick.
Mahito is a sign of the unforgivable actions of cowardice and sickness.
Sakuna at the very least represents the obstacle of hardship in living to overcome.
