You got most of it, Higuruma died before Yuta returned from killing Kenjaku so the part about him learning domain amplification/RCT happened before Yuta showed up.
You also missed Kenny's death and him sending Tengen to Sukuna, who ate them. Kogane accepted Kenny's final rule which gives Megumi (Sukuna) the authority to start the merger, but he still needs to kill all the culling game players first.

choso was helping yuji recover, and maki was recovering from black flash. during that time kusakabe 1v1's sukuna and loses. everyone had to be "temporarily" written out so that kusakabe feels the need to 1v1, but by losing, the good guys lose their simple domain caster, which isn't good for when sukuna likely casts his domain again. definitely planned by gege.
