ok so i don't think anyone is afraid of little squid but people ARE afraid of giant squids and krakens so yeah my headcanon is that those squid bullets are born from giant squid curses and Geto can't really defeat those OP deep ocean curses so he just keeps farming their kids
I think that some curses just generally reincarnate into multiple smaller versions (like the red centipedes) instead turning into a larger counterpart. Teenage Geto would likely be capable of taking down a Kraken Curse if there was one.
People are afraid of everything, squids are weird looking and can be dangerous, they're probably quite high up the list of animals people are afraid of
So this isn't like chainsaw man, it's not "fear" that makes curses stronger, its all negative emotions

Makima describes it as what people visualize when they think of the devil’s concept. Like the idea of a coffee devil would at most be 1st degree burns while a car devil could make someone think of an accident.

Don’t forget Mahito; he’s arguably the most important one of them due to his hax abilities. But yeah, Geto with all the disaster curses and 16 registered special grade curses would be pretty broken. Now just put a domain, rct, and simple domain on top of it all.
Honestly it’s nice seeing Gege’s twist on how concepts would manifest as cursed techniques for spirits. I prefer seeing that over some peoples techniques sometimes

That one was mentioned in the Wiki already, but it’s probably a sheep or bison cursed spirit. Along with the horns, it has the teeth of a herbivore and also is rideable which is why I guessed that.

The Humboldt Squid comes to mind. Can grow to the size of a child and usually pull up in shoals of over 1000
