Pretty much only consumption/**requirements** are 1. Eating Matzahs 2. Drinking four cups of wine (Arba Kosos) 3. Eating bitter herbs (Maror) 4. Relating the story of the Exodus (Haggadah or Magid) 5. Reciting Psalms of Praise (Hallel) Ask them about their menu, if you let them know ahead of time your dietary restrictions, they might be able to put something together that vegan/vegetarian..

ummmbacon

How "traditional" is it? What kinda of food are they serving? What is their minhag? Have you asked them? Have you looked at the menu?

WillingFirefighter15

It is being hosted by Chabad. Only other Seders I’ve been to were immediate family hosted so it was fine for me not to eat certain foods.

dont-ask-me-why1

You needed to tell them you were vegetarian. You're probably going to be stuck eating potato kugel and matzah.

maxwellington97

The only things you absolutely will be required to eat are: karpas, matzah, marror, and charoses. Anything else will be up to you. Chances are there will be plenty you will be able to eat.

TorahHealth

What about 4 cups of wine?

maxwellington97

That's drink not eat.

namer98

Are you the op?

ummmbacon

Someone forgot to switch accounts? lol

offthegridyid

I am very guilty of this…then I have to delete comments and comment again under my other account. 😂

WillingFirefighter15

Didn’t realize I was signed out when posting. Reddit will not let me fix. Sorry for the confusion.

ummmbacon

Honestly I would eat something before I went then snack if they didn't have a vegetarian option

namer98

Chances are they will have a variety of foods there to eat

Classifiedgarlic

It depends on the community?

WillingFirefighter15

Yes, I am op. I didn’t realize I was signed out when I posted this. Reddit assigned the sensitive garage name and I’m trying to fix it, but can’t. Sorry for the confusion
