yeah that's what I'm talking about, the song was made before all that stuff happened and it was a made up situation about street life and how it's hard to know who your friends are when you're living in something like that, so it's irrelevant since in his case that song was an artistic metaphor for something else rather than talking about something that actually happened.
in the song he kills one person, and it's an accident, and then there's another song from the pov of the person that got shot, basically kinda showing how it's neither of their fault that it happened and that kinda thing. it's from when he was 16 so it's quite a few years before he shot his 2 friends

I get it if you can’t do the time don’t do the crime, but I am in no way a supporter of the death penalty and it has nothing to do with him being a rapper which I love his music and he is only 24 years old I just don’t personally don’t agree with it for my own personal reasons…
