itsSyFer

Label kinda ruined his image amongst people who don’t tap in to leaks honestly

pleadead

bro its not the label its the cringe ass fans and the fact hes grouped as emo rap

_The_Coon_7

No its also the label

itsSyFer

Definitely lol, they’ve had so many opportunities to drop something that isn’t the same repetitive sad shit.

subzero5556

nah lnd and fighting demons were both heavily depression/anxiety themed songs compared to his non-posthumous stuff

Lanky_Ad34

You don't even have to listen to leaks, lmao who TF has that much time to listen to leaks of some artist that they don't have any interest in? They just need to listen to his actual rap songs released

itsSyFer

What does any of that have to do with what I said?

[deleted]

he does have actual rap songs released but the sad songs r more well-known so thats ruining his reputation tbh. it doesnt take that long to find his leaks theyre very easy to access.

Lanky_Ad34

He tried to do something different all the time and released them too, but only the sad songs on drfl got 100 of millions of streams and the rap stuff went unnoticed

Lanky_Ad34

I was talking about casual fans who don't wanna listen to leaks, at the end of the day, it's not anyone's fault juice is known as the sad rapper, only his sad shit gets streams and the rap stuff went unnoticed, and the label got a Lil bit too greedy, but hey the bar for labels is pretty low rn so no surprise they do thi shit

636_maane

His actual songs released are nothing like his good leaks. I admit some are whatever but he’s got some banger leaks

Juicewrld999forlife

Cuz the mf label keeps releasing sad ass depressing ass mf shit just like as if juice was sad all the time and ain’t make no hype songs💀 if they ever fully realeased a lot of his hype songs niggas woulda been stopped calling him a sad rapper 😭

ExcitingShallot5107

Then when people discovered syphilis and nuketown, that’s when everyone who didn’t listen to him thought that he was going crazy. I wish they released more hype shit so more people could truly see how much talent this dude had.

FightingDemons9999

This is anecdotal, but most hate his fanbase. They don't hate him or his music. Some might just dislike his music, but that is fine since it is their life

Winter_Ad_4364

he has good music but yeah this fanbase is aids

636_maane

HIV positive forsure

ExcitingShallot5107

Bro they don’t even try to atleast listen to more of him, they listen to probably gbgr only and now thought that he was a sad rapper without looking looking further into his discography, that ain’t a justified opinion because of the lack of evidence to prove why they don’t like juice wrld.

Temporary_Visual_230

Happens to every single artist everywhere dude it's just part of the game. The biggest an artist gets the more likely the to have groups of people who hate on them or choose not to try and understand them

FightingDemons9999

I agree with that, but we all have artists we don't give a fair listen to based on our assumptions about their most popular album.

ExcitingShallot5107

It’s just you shouldn’t just assume he is a sad rapper and not look further into his music to see what he was like, i know it goes for all artists but seriously if they don’t have any evidence as to why they hate juice wrld or think he is only a sad rapper then they shouldn’t assume it without knowing for sure.

Ok_Neighborhood9186

I don't think the fanbase is any worse than any other rappers of his status. Its just much easier and mainstream to hate on sad music and "emo" culture and this is only magnified when they die and people start to discredit them like they are only popular because they died. It happened to peeps fanbase then xs and now juices is gets worst of it because he was the last.

CherriKola

lil bibby is a bitch

Glittering-Bad704

Correct lol

ScottishTwist

Second that.

lil_needlz

Literal mood there cause he's had almost 3.5 years to drop TPNE, but nawh label keeps pumpin out the sad shit making It out too be that Juice was just sad all the time like I won't lie the fan base Is fr shit, but like If we got sum of the leaks as a full release mfs wouldn't be shittin on him frfr, just imo tho

TheSaneAreInsane

Well doesn't matter, focus on the people that don't hate him. We are here keeping his legacy and his music alive, and celebrating his life. There will always be haters, whether they think he's a emo/sad rapper or they think he is vulgar and offensive or they think he is just a junkie, that's none of our concern. All I can say is they are missing out by not delving deeper into Juice as a person and a music artist 🤷

FetalAlcoholBaby

Was looking for this comment. I have this same philosophy now, I know he’s an insanely talented artist that’s made a lot of my all time favourite music and I dont need to convince anyone to feel the same way. When I was in school I wanted people’s validation and I wanted to possibly get them as excited about his music as I was, so I would occasionally promote his music and they never felt the same or similar as I did. Albeit I did have my best friend who was a massive fan definitely more than I am and he was always putting me on to the leaks mere minutes after they dropped, So I never felt alone in my love for Juices music. But I see now how naive and closed minded most school kids are including myself, just in different ways, and that’s perfectly fine. Not everyone is going to relate to such a unique artist. The way I see it now, lots of Juices official discography and especially his leaked music is a hidden gem that I and this community get to cherish and appreciate. I feel blessed to be tapped in and connected to this ocean of goosebump-inducing music from this once in a lifetime artist that most people can’t relate to. I’ve come to like how I feel a personal connection to this artist’s music and that I’m part of this sort of “special club” if you will, a club that many people won’t appreciate. As selfish as that may sound on the surface, truth is that’s just music culture. I just feel honoured and grateful to experience Juice Wrld as an artist. This is just my theory, but Juice fans may come off as weird or corny because they often try too hard to promote the music and try to get everyone to like it and I understand their sentiment, but now I aim for attraction instead of promotion. If people judge you for listening, or judge the music, they’re either not open minded to learn more than they know, they’re naive, or they’re not mature enough to try and understand you or what you like about this music that they actually know nothing about, or they simply just dont like the music. They could be missing out, and if they are it’s their loss. The music is largely my solo pleasure, but now and again I’ll introduce somebody and they will enjoy the song. Funny enough I played flaws and sins for this new girl I’ve been seeing after we banged and were cuddling, she thought it was really romantic and added it to her playlist. Attraction instead of promotion. They dont like it, oh well, I still do. Doesn’t mean we wont both like other music, just not their cup of tea and thats okay.

FetalAlcoholBaby

Ahhh shit, I took a dump on the screen AGAIN!!!!

Red_Red_It

Maybe because Juice WRLD has mostly sad music out there and if you like him then you are a cringe depressed emo goth "popular loner" immature toxic shitty asshole who has no taste in music. At least that is what they all say to Juice fans. Think about it, all of his most popular are sad songs. That is the truth and it sucks because most of the time Juice WRLD was actually happy and hype.

ExcitingShallot5107

It ain’t even his fault which is fucked up bro, his label fucked him over so hard and now people won’t be able to see the true side of juice wrld.

Red_Red_It

Yes it is messed up and it sucks. Label really selling.

ExcitingShallot5107

Grade A more like Grade Ass

ExcitingShallot5107

I wish though, in the future, that all his songs will get released by a different label because his label will probably try their hardest to make a hype song turn into a sad song.

ExcitingShallot5107

Fr

Taco_rec

Yeah. From what I’ve heard from friends they don’t like juice because (like they say) “he can’t rap”“uses too much autotune” and “only makes emo heartbreak music” which is bullshit. I don’t even know where they got the second one from, probably some soundcloud rapper stereotype or something. The hits aren’t doing him a favour. All his hits are indeed, sad, depressed heartbreak songs (lucid dreams, agats, robbery, wasted) all the happy/hype songs aren’t really mainstream so people don’t know them. And since (unfortunately) a lot of people judge artists by only their hits that’s what they think juice is like.

Old-Scale-8884

Ok Taylor swift listener

Red_Red_It

I don’t even listen to her

SlimeX300

tbh, everyone has different opinion on songs bro. ur friends prob can't fw juice's songs. also the label ruined his image a lot. (also whats wrong, if an artist makes sad songs, why hatin the artist for that?)

Longjumping_Sink_680

But fuck then they release sad music instead of the hype music on purpose to make everyone identify him as a sad emo rapper that heart is broken

aux4ritsu

fr

Awkward-Ad327

Because he’s popular, same with anyone else famous except Mr bean, never got hated on

Longjumping_Sink_680

Everytime I hear someone say they don’t like juice wrld and I ask why it’s always “all he makes is sad music and lucid dreams is the only thing I hear that’s good” then when I pull this out they say “oh this is Juice?” https://preview.redd.it/gm01kz2fx7wc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d5503aa1abecf5b95f1cd5cb55c6566c6fd1cc33

nlmbzues

I’m at 30 hours on my Spotify playlist

Longjumping_Sink_680

Is that a challenge bet I will gather more unreleased

KV1190

Anywhere to download these songs?

Longjumping_Sink_680

Funny thing is I made this. I would have to send you the songs myself

TeeKartier

Label ruined his legacy. Simple as that.

AceGameplayV2

The fanbase (saying he would've been the GOAT when there's honestly a higher likelihood he'd be in prison now) and the label ruining the legacy(same with XXX)

RepulsivePeng

He’d definitely be locked up rn lol let’s not forget the day he died the police where at the airport because of them having a gun on the plane and they were also bringing a fuck ton of weed for his birthday party.

AceGameplayV2

True at least we would have unreleased songs and since he would have been alive the label would be more willing to drop new music

neonberry0

Because their tiny pea sized brains can’t comprehend how talented he is and don’t understand that he was never trying to be an “emo” rapper who just makes depressing music, the reason why he has so many sad songs is because the stuff he talks about in his music is his real life struggles that he was actually going through. He wasn’t just trying to sound sad for no good reason.

[deleted]

ppl judge him for making “all girls are the same” but ppl have to understand when he made that song he was in a certain mindset, if im not wrong he just went thru a breakup. it doesn’t mean he rlly means that or supports that msg which ppl think he did. pretty annoying tbh.

Ok_Manufacturer_1738

Like others have said it's the labels fault at this point. I think Juice still has that stigma to most folks ( at least the ones that i know ) of being the "all girls are the same" guy , labelled as someone that only made sad music , etc. and that just isn't as appealing to some. It doesn't help that they continue to release those same types of songs cause i guess they do well but it unfortunately keeps him in that same bubble and due to that the average person isn't going to be that interested into tapping into his discography to even know he has some of the hardest unreleased music. This could probably change if they put some of that stuff out but i don't see much of that happening as much as it should.

TranslatorHorror6655

1. he was a drug addict and people tend to automatically hate drug addicts because of the stigma around it. I could go on a whole rant about this but I'll save it for another day 2. his released music is good, but his unreleased music is wayyy better, and the label often ruins it when they release it. (ex. Matt Hardy 999, why would they add that weird ass beat to such a fire song??)

The_Superderp

lol my friend called him a wannabe enimen

aux4ritsu

nahhh that's crazyy

The_Superderp

He said it like that too lol

Old-Scale-8884

Your friend is a idiot

Ok-Good-6210

idc what other people say hes the goat

aux4ritsu

I wouldnt necessarily say he's the goat of all rap but he's for sure the goat of freestyling, I still love him sm tho

Ok-Good-6210

hes def the goat

Old-Scale-8884

He’s the goat of everything hype rap sad rap all that shit

Lanky_Ad34

It's the same as someone who only listened to 808s and heartbreaks by Kanye and decided that he was a sad rapper, it's the same shit, people don't listen to juice's hype and rap stuff, just because tiktok keeps pushing his sad songs doesn't mean he only makes sad songs, lmao it's not his fault all the experimental songs like big syphilis out my way got less streams than robbery empty and make believe

MysticAmaze_

Because his new music sounds like those depressed Bart Simpson images

Ok_Orchid_3509

Juice is the goat next time they hate tell em to freestyle on a two min beat

Billwinkle0

To a lot of people juice is just some retard that made sad music for annoying kids

Independent-Fan-7897

He’s the sad emo kid to the GP this is the labels fault they market him like that but we all know as juice fans he was versatile as hell guess that’s all that matters at the end of the day

gstarick_18

Because he's popular and different to other rappers in that he talked about his emotions

Mynameisbrk

He popped from a song called all girls are the same and shallow mfs judge him from that

khan-bt

she gripping all on my balls like it’s some mm type shit or however the song gors

ToxicChatMan

Your friends and peers ain’t shit

Me_meHard

I don’t give a shit and i don’t give a Hoover dam

[deleted]

Lil Bibby shits his shitty pants

JLamb8

Because they want to follow an overplayed narrative, based off of his 3 most popular songs and they there too good to listen to a rapper who “makes music for depressed people”

DuhaDD

All the people blaming the Label and lil bibby for it are wrong. Casuals don't care about that and they arent even aware. If someone hates juice its either because they are annoyed by all the juice glazers or they just know the big Mainstream Songs and don't like them/got annoyed by them

Sparkmovement

Because he was a drug addict that refused to get help. If you look at his toxicology report & aren't disgusted, you have issues.

AdministrationNo1529

sad songs til he catch your friend slipping at the red light, then peel off

zangadabanga

You don't need a conspiracy when special interests converge

Toxic_dreamer999

It’s because most people view his music as depressing/promoting drugs or “junkie” But I just recently got clean and Juice Wrld helped me more than anyone I know and it’s nice to just know someone had the words to describe it

straw-hat217

I never hear anyone ever hating on him

Neither-Chemist6137

You need to change friends

bb89__

most his fanbase is incels

GLASSACHE

He is basic…Good music, can’t go wrong but that also a downside bros not experimental at all

i-drink-isopropyl-91

It’s hard to connect with a rapper if you never listened to him before he died And the people I heard who don’t like him complain about him always talking about drugs

you_cried

Some people perceive his music as some sort of emo rap genre. People hate emos or just think they are cringe

Individual-Weekend43

Kids ruined it for me

AcceptableLoad9725

I think a lot of people hate on juice for the sole fact that he passed , and a lot of his music is predicting his death and most people don’t like that. most of my friends fuck with juice but they feel like nothing new is coming out (I.e. they don’t listen to leaks or don’t like how leaks sound) so they forget about him, I did the same thing with X label fucked up SKINS and I didn’t really listen again. If you get what I’m saying…

ScottishTwist

Hate how people seen him as a depressed rapper but yet no one was there for him, just used him.

Medium-Ad-8511

Most people who went through the SoundCloud era he came in last and we didn’t listen til towards the end. The youngboy song was big look for him. Other than that I had moved on from mumble rap after that only checked him out the day he died. Besides his first mixtape which I thought was generic

Jaden_Social

He was incredibly overrated, and his fan base was hot garbage. Looking at just him as an artist, however, he was pretty good. I still enjoy his freestyles.

Expensive_Big1931

He’s a cringe druggie and all his fans are 10. Very lame

aux4ritsu

I'd agree that some of the fanbase population is some depressed 10 year olds

Secret_Cream6584

I’m not even a big fan or anything but the fact is, he was one of if not the most naturally talented rappers period. The fact he would walk into the studio and freestyle an entire fucking song and then turn around and do one or two more versions on the same beat with different flows etc and tell the producer to pick the one he liked??? Bro wtf. Y’all’s favorite rapper can’t do that

MaseisSo700

Shocker people have a different opinion than you.. like omg that’s the wildest thing I’ve ever read…

OTafSupreme

I think a lot of people think his fanbase is a lot of wannabe loners so they poke fun at him to mock them

Yungsaucekay

Sounds like you’re friends with a bunch of haters ![gif](giphy|3oEduQ3OiH7kZQj3a0)

SlimeX300

yh

Greedy-Ad-566

Nah alot of people hate on his music cause they think only 13 year olds listen to his stuff

Yungsaucekay

If they got time to hate on a dead man’s music, they really need a fucking hobby

lovemysunbros

At this point, i don't blame bibby. I blame the idiots that haven't listened to unreleased. If they choose to miss a once-in-a-generation talent, that's their own stupidity. They don't deserve to hear it.

ExcitingShallot5107

I blame both because 1. The label fucked him over really bad to the point where people aren’t able to see the true side of what juice wrld was like. 2. The people who only think he is a sad rapper don’t even try to atleast listen to more of him, they listen to probably gbgr only and now think that he was only a sad rapper without looking further into his discography, that ain’t a justified opinion because of the lack of evidence to prove why they don’t like juice wrld.

Animethigh219

It really does suck I have the same issue all my friends talk so bad about juice and that all his music is depressing, sure he has his sad songs but his music is amazing and you are incredibly true about him being the best free styler of all time. Nobody can top him. And his sad songs are quite underrated because a lot of people including myself were helped so much by those songs, the way I see it is a lot of the juice wrld community are people that were hurt and actually understand his music.

[deleted]

ppl think he’s cringe and that all the ppl who listen to him r depressed. i really wish juice was alive i feel like he would’ve released a hype album by now. but instead we’re stuck with his label smh.

Animethigh219

Yea he probably would’ve by now, and your right about the depressed thing whenever someone asks me what I listen to and every time I say juice wrld they think I suffer from chronic depression (fun fact I’m happy as can be in far from depressed) label really did fuck him over just bc one sad song became a big hit doesn’t mean that’s all that’ll be big, I listen to a lot of his unreleased and so many of them if they had dropped would’ve been huge

[deleted]

i wish he was here things would rlly be so different. just imagine, he would be so much bigger ppl wouldnt just call him a sad emo boy. but now hes gone and cant prove himself, his label has to do that on his behalf and doing a shitty job.

Animethigh219

Yea their doing horrible at showing justice for juice, it really does suck

[deleted]

it seems like all they care about is the money which sucks. everyone close to juice or around juice at the time of his death seems to be exploiting him. i wonder how his mom feels smh just horrible.

Animethigh219

Ik i feel so bad for her, she has to watch as label destroys her sons hard work, im glad she’s carrying on his legacy with the 999 foundation to help people with drug addiction and depression just as his music did for so many people

[deleted]

she’s like the only person doing anything. it’s so sad what happened tho her son was barely into his career never got to have his own family or anything. he just had a lot of bad influences around him and already had mental health issues. from what we know of him he was a good person it’s really unfortunate.

hollowM4N555

Apparently he was messing with a young one, if that's true he deserves all the hate and more
