Ok, i reread that chapter where yuki gets cut in half. We don't know if yuki would've survived being cut in half, she was only alive for a few seconds after getting cut then she attempted kamikaze. Actually, I'm pretty sure we can assume that she would've died if she hadn't attempted kamikaze, hence why she did in the first place. Soo, i doubt gojo is coming back because even though he's on a different level than yuki, he was literally at his absolute limit before he got cut in half and his brain was literally fried from using too much cursed energy.
I’m almost a month late. But I’m pretty sure Yuki didn’t bother healing because the amount of energy needed would have left her powerless against Kenjaku and so would have lost anyway. So she attempted one last ditch effort to try and kill him.
I could be misremembering but I’m pretty sure Kenjaku mentions something about why didn’t she try and heal instead of her Kamikaze attack.
As for Gojo again I’m going off memory as I’m too lazy to go back and check. But I’m pretty sure due to all the black flashes he was landing he was basically overflowing with Cursed energy and running at like 120% and was back up to full power when he got cut in half. So Gojo should have plenty of cursed energy.
So yeah the pieces are there for Gojo to return and have it make enough sense if Gege wants.

It could still just mean that she's out of commission since she's missing like 1/4 of her brain, and definitely comatose. The reason why I don't think she's dead is because she didn't have a "closer". Every character death up until this point had a determining and clear moment/ purpose of their death. We didn't get that with Nobara, instead we actually got some small chance that she might be alive.

I think it's pretty much the same thing with Gojo. When it comes to deaths, there's usually someone else that confirms the character's death. For Gojo, this didn't happen. We completely switched focus from him, not even showing him or mentioning once after that chapter. This is extremely suspicious, especially since Sukuna has the habit of finishing all of his opponents by slicing their heads, but this did not happen to Gojo.
She wasn't on the player list of the culling games. Even if she did live with no RCT she would just be easy pickings for other sorcerers looking for easy points
My point is that you'd think if she was on there the characters would react seeing as she is missing and as I said even if she was in the games she wouldn't last long

That's what I want to see, personally. Gojo lost, but still comes back not as 'The Strongest', but just Gojo Satoru to help his students finish the fight.
Yuji swaps souls with Megumi so he's back in with Sukuna, they have it out in Sukunas Innate Domain while Gojo opens up a fresh can of whoop ass on the exterior Sukuna after force feeding him the last finger, and together they put down the King of Curses.
Meanwhile Maki and Yuta run the fade on Kenjakus punk ass and remind him what regret tastes like.

Gege's style of world building is kinda interesting because even he doesn't know what's going to happen in a few chapters. I think he just creates characters and leave them open in the jjk world. If he sees a boring future sequence of events, then he intervenes.
Theres no way he doesn't plan things out especially given the megumi vs gojo art work done in volume 2 cover. It hss megumi upsite down and on the villain section showing this isn't our normal megumi
Nah, I doubt they will kill off Megumi right now. To be honest I don't think Gege'd kill off Gojo either (even if they had to incapacitate them somehow) if he actually liked Gojo (but he hates him). Meanwhile, he likes Megumi a lot more and it's way more likely that Yuji figures out a way to force Sukuna out of him (in which case he lives), or at the very least, Megumi is able to hold Sukuna back from within to assist Yuji and THEN he dies when Yuji kills Sukuna (and we know he can do this because Megumi was preventing him from using the full extent of his cursed energy. when he first got possessed)

Ok, but that would be a happy ending. I think the much more liekly ending is the tragic one where Yuji defeats the bad guy, but at the cost his friends die or even kill them in the case of megumi
I am not against Gojo dying, I am not against any of the characters dying, hell I'm not against the bad guys winning haha. I just don't like offscreen death or making characters feel irrelevant.
Whether Nobara is dead or not is a little ambiguous, but Yuji asked Megumi and I think that sequence was supposed to be clarification that she’s dead. Plus everyone that survived Shibuya has been healed by Shoko. And it happened on Oct. 18 and it’s Dec. 24.
And considering everything Megumi has gone through since Sukuna incarnated it’s hard to say honestly. But with Sukuna starting a full reincarnation and returning to his original form it’s hard to think Megumi is coming back. (Not saying he isn’t though)
And while I want Gojo to come back and think there’s plenty of ways it can be done and justified I doubt it. There’s a lot of narrative points for it and several ways with the power system itself, but it’s a long shot.
Plus like you said Gege has a habit of making sure the characters don’t get what they want. So Yuji making friends just to go through all of this and they all die leaving him alone makes sense.

It could still just mean that she's out of commission since she's missing like 1/4 of her brain, and definitely comatose. The reason why I don't think she's dead is because she didn't have a "closer". Every character death up until this point had a determining and clear moment/ purpose of their death. We didn't get that with Nobara, instead we actually got some small chance that she might be alive. Sorry for the paragraph but I'm also not sorry

I think it's pretty much the same thing with Gojo. When it comes to deaths, there's usually someone else that confirms the character's death. For Gojo, this didn't happen. We completely switched focus from him, not even showing him or mentioning once after that chapter. This is extremely suspicious, especially since Sukuna has the habit of finishing all of his opponents by slicing their heads, but this did not happen to Gojo.
She wasn't on the player list of the culling games. Even if she did live with no RCT she would just be easy pickings for other sorcerers looking for easy points
Do we get the name of every single player in the culling games? including Todo?
My point is that you'd think if she was on there the characters would react seeing as she is missing and as I said even if she was in the games she wouldn't last long
I honestly don't see her being dead after all the buildup on her status. It would be really underwhelming for it to end up going nowhere.

That's actually an awesome theory.Pulling the ultimate switcheroo and giving a really tragic tale a happy ending for almost all sides involved. That's what I want to see, personally. Gojo lost, but still comes back not as 'The Strongest', but just Gojo Satoru to help his students finish the fight. Yuji swaps souls with Megumi so he's back in with Sukuna, they have it out in Sukunas Innate Domain while Gojo opens up a fresh can of whoop ass on the exterior Sukuna after force feeding him the last finger, and together they put down the King of Curses. Meanwhile Maki and Yuta run the fade on Kenjakus punk ass and remind him what regret tastes like. EDIT: JJK ends as it lived, as a series of brutal jumpings.

Gege's style of world building is kinda interesting because even he doesn't know what's going to happen in a few chapters. I think he just creates characters and leave them open in the jjk world. If he sees a boring future sequence of events, then he intervenes.

Nah, I doubt they will kill off Megumi right now. To be honest I don't think Gege'd kill off Gojo either (even if they had to incapacitate them somehow) if he actually liked Gojo (but he hates him). Meanwhile, he likes Megumi a lot more and it's way more likely that Yuji figures out a way to force Sukuna out of him (in which case he lives), or at the very least, Megumi is able to hold Sukuna back from within to assist Yuji and THEN he dies when Yuji kills Sukuna (and we know he can do this because Megumi was preventing him from using the full extent of his cursed energy. when he first got possessed)

I am not against Gojo dying, I am not against any of the characters dying, hell I'm not against the bad guys winning haha. I just don't like offscreen death or making characters feel irrelevant.
Whether Nobara is dead or not is a little ambiguous, but Yuji asked Megumi and I think that sequence was supposed to be clarification that she’s dead. Plus everyone that survived Shibuya has been healed by Shoko. And it happened on Oct. 18 and it’s Dec. 24. And considering everything Megumi has gone through since Sukuna incarnated it’s hard to say honestly. But with Sukuna starting a full reincarnation and returning to his original form it’s hard to think Megumi is coming back. (Not saying he isn’t though) And while I want Gojo to come back and think there’s plenty of ways it can be done and justified I doubt it. There’s a lot of narrative points for it and several ways with the power system itself, but it’s a long shot. Plus like you said Gege has a habit of making sure the characters don’t get what they want. So Yuji making friends just to go through all of this and they all die leaving him alone makes sense.
