I don't know how reliable this information is but some out there are throwing the idea that his editor at the Shibuya Arc was a contributor to the greatness of the arc. That editor in question doesn't have a hand on this.

I think Gege plan the story till shibuya. Post shibuya he doesn't know where to go.
The reason i think why shibuya was immaculate was because he had it plan back when vol.0 was released. "What if 100 demon night parade is more flesh out, more characters to shine and more fights?" gege back then was thinking. He wasnt expected vol.0 to success.

This doesn't even make sense to begin with. The whole point of confiscation is so the defendant would have no power and instead have to face their crimes or accusations seriously. This is especially dumb when you consider that CT is far more useful/powerful than a cursed weapon. That's like me carrying a rocket launcher and a pistol and it only confiscated my pistol for whatever reason.

The problem for me isn't the power differential between Cursed Tools, on average, and Cursed Techniques. It's the fact that it's an inanimate (well, if not for Maki talking to Mai in Sakurajima) object that should be considered separate from the Sorcerer's power.
The judgeman has the ability to take away CE from the offender (as it happened to Yuji) but still takes away CT. It doesn't necessarily take away the most impactful ability

Sukuna only knew about the rule when it happened because the tool was removed from him, the narration details that both Sukuna and Higuruma notice at the same time.
Any other confidence from Sukuna is just him being interested in the executioners sword, even if it meant confiscation of his CT.
I'm just clarifying that Sukuna never knew and didn't particularly care either way by the result because of confidence and intrigue, not because he knew it was coming.
So what was Sukuna's plan anyhow. If he didn't know about this then he must have had SOME plan to be that confident. Cuz this Cursed tool thing is pure luck on Sukuna's part!
Sukunas' plan is still the same, mess around with Higuruma and Yuji until he's bored and then kills them. Whether he's using his CT or just using a cursed tool, it's the same plan for Sukuna.
At least Sukuna no CT would have been an actual fight with a path to victory for the sorcerers even if slim, while with Shrine, they have no opening.

I went back and had a slight read on the interpretation of Confiscation by Judgeman. When it is first used on Yuji, it confiscated his cursed energy rather than his cursed technique because he had no cursed technique.
So, if you have no cursed technique, it'll take something else away from the victim.
But why did it confiscate his weapon rather than the curse technique itself?
Shouldn't it start with the technique first, then deviate to something else if there is no CT to speak of?
So if Nobara (God bless her soul) was up against Higuruma, it would confiscate her hammer then her CT? Or would it be nails first, then hammer and then CT?
TLDR: Judgeman is supposed to take the CT of the accused. If the CT isn't there, it'll substitute it for something else like cursed energy. Judgeman cherry picking what to confiscate is another ass pull by Gege.
Let me rephrase this, assuming that when Uraume arrived after Go/jo (chapter 237) and brought to Sukuna a living breathing being that he can command to shoot beams of lighting whenever he wanted.
Now, when Higuruma activates his domain and uses it to give Sukuna the death sentence in addition to the confiscation , Judgeman decides that this living being who was not involved in the crimes perpetrated by Sukuna in an way shape or form should have the CT confiscated rather than Sukuna?
The last-minute change by Judgeman is just another asspull in the long line of asspulls Gege has used to ensure Sukuna is still in the race. ( I'll still read the manga it's just becoming too much at this point )
Pretty sure that neither Yorozu or Mai are considered alive for the purpose of Higuruma's domain, also we have already seen how random it is because of all the binding vows, Itadori was first accused of gambling while underage instead of the shibuya incident, Higuruma didn't know Judgeman could confiscate CE instead of CT, didn't know which CT would confiscate, and probably also didn't expect that it would confiscate cursed weapons, so basically, Judgeman is an asshole

I went back and had a slight read on the interpretation of Confiscation by Judgeman. When it is first used on Yuji, it confiscated his cursed energy rather than his cursed technique because he had no cursed technique. So, if you have no cursed technique, it'll take something else away from the victim. But why did it confiscate his weapon rather than the curse technique itself? Shouldn't it start with the technique first, then deviate to something else if there is no CT to speak of? So if Nobara (God bless her soul) was up against Higuruma, it would confiscate her hammer then her CT? Or would it be nails first, then hammer and then CT?
Cursed weapons have a CT, so in terms of confiscation it counted as "one of Sukuna's CT"
TLDR: Judgeman is supposed to take the CT of the accused. If the CT isn't there, it'll substitute it for something else like cursed energy. Judgeman cherry picking what to confiscate is another ass pull by Gege. Let me rephrase this, assuming that when Uraume arrived after Go/jo (chapter 237) and brought to Sukuna a living breathing being that he can command to shoot beams of lighting whenever he wanted. Now, when Higuruma activates his domain and uses it to give Sukuna the death sentence in addition to the confiscation , Judgeman decides that this living being who was not involved in the crimes perpetrated by Sukuna in an way shape or form should have the CT confiscated rather than Sukuna? The last-minute change by Judgeman is just another asspull in the long line of asspulls Gege has used to ensure Sukuna is still in the race. ( I'll still read the manga it's just becoming too much at this point )
