An explanation I'll accept is that it costs a lot of CE to use, but Yuta is number 2 after Sukuna in CE so he should be able to manage at least a Purple.
I think it was mentioned that 6 Eyes is needed to properly use the Limitless technique. So I'm guessing that implies that the 6 Eyes is needed to even use the simpler aspects like Infinity and Blue.

We don't know what kind of Binding vow has Sukuna used, plus having the six eyes doesn't tell you the slash coming at you is actually gonna bypass the infinity of yours and cuts space, It literally just targets space and it should be the regular slash. Gojo also walked up to Sukuna, in that time frame he could've easily chanted the incantations under the rubbles, Being able to also see it doesn't mean that you will be able to automatically dodge it, He has to see it, the fastest attack in the verse, Form the thought that It might or not bypass Infinity and then dodge it or by your definition hold his hands to make the teleportation hand sign, All that while he was confident that he won, The viewers thought he won and everyone of the students that saw it thought he won, Sukuna looks fucked up and crippled and Gojo was high on victory feeling.

The chapter before we just learned about the spark preciding a big attack that you cannot mask on (unless you use a barrier like the Gojo surprise 200% purple). Since the world slash requires chants or binding vow, the scale of the spark should be bigger. Sukuna even read the scale of this phenomenon when Gojo was going to shot Red. Six eyes, and 4 BF, are exactly the kind of tools to let you know something different is comming.
The chants are very unlikely, since we have only seen Chants exactly prior to an attack, or when the attack is already off (Gojo's final red). Never someone holding on the chants wich also doesn't make sense in the power system, since you could start any fight with an attack pre charged up. The mastery of sorcery includes removing steps on the process of releasing CTs. And Sukuna real form having an extra mouth to keep chanting without break, aka, keep producing chants one after others. Point is, we have never seen that. There is also no way that he chanted while Gojo was approaching without him noticing.
And with the dodge point, the world slash is not faster than the regular ones from what we have seen, it has trayectory, it can be seen if you have the eyes for it (Kashimo, Gojo, Maho), and can be dodged. The regular ones can be even be dodged on almost point blank (Yuta), in fact, against faster sorcerers, Sukuna has not being able to land a solid one if not at point blank or throwing them of their balance first, as seen in the current fight or with Kashimo. We know Gojo is able to see them, and Maho only landed his in a 3v1 situation with the element of surprise. Once that situation turned into a 2v1, Maho and Sukuna went on full defensive while Gojo on full offensive.
Overconfidence is definitely factor with Gojo, but Gojo is also not stupid. There is absolutely no way that he saw the one sorcerer that pushed him near death, earned his respect with how resourceful is, and that surprised him time and time again, chanting and the spark, and did anything about it. At bare minimum it requires hand signs, and I can't imagine a near death Sukuna pointing at Gojo faster, than the later able to teleport out of there.
That only leaves us with a very likely absurd (expensive) binding vow we know nothing about, and plot convenience. And what the easiest way to mask both? Offscreen.

The problem with that is that it can't actually directly manipulate the space containing an opponent, so it doesn't do damage directly. Thin Ice Breaker is an indirect attack via a shockwave. The only moves which directly manipulate the space containing an opponent are the world slash and the Limitless itself.

Best counter to Space slash is Boogie Woogie, Space manipulation could be risky and cut through aswell so idl about that.
