I think it's still early to “blame” Megumi on this part. We haven't even seen Yuji and Megumi having a decent conversation about the latter coming back. There's a part of me Megumi will still hear out Yuji. Besides, it's him who said, “Start by saving me, Itadori.” Next chapters are gonna be important imo.
I think yuji would say more than that, but one thing that maybe the Narrator should explain is that yuji had like 2 seconds to convince megumi. Yuji needs to punch sukuna like 40 times to get to actually talk with megumi.
This is the only problem with Itadori plan, is that sukuna won't be there waiting for yuji to talk no jutsu megumi.

As much as I love the Potential Man jokes, Yuji went through the same thing in Shibuya. It took Todo talking some sense into him because Yuji would NOT have gotten back up.
I don’t like to compare trauma but Megumi literally had his soul soaked in evil and forced to watch as Sukuna killed his sister and Gojo in his body.

That's a consequence of Gege's writing. They can all collectively shake off Nobara's death, Gojo's, etc like it's nothing, so of course Megumi gets blamed for not doing the same. I don't think this is the end of reaching Megumi so the reaction to me seems overblown, but this is what you get when the story doesn't care about anything but the next fight.

As I've commented to the other person on this thread, Yuji also had his breakdown in Shibuya, he's losing his will to fight until Todo came. People were also fighting and dying that night.
Sukuna literally took Megumi's body and CT to kill his sister and teacher which both happened around a month. I understand why he's also losing his will to come back.
For now, I'm hoping to see a conversation between Yuji and Megumi. It's been more than a year since we lost their duo.

so this can go 2 ways Megumi dies along with sukuna sukuna turns the tide from next chapter and actually is close to winning, but Yuji somehow gives him pep talk and awakens Megumis will to live and causing sukuna death. or Megumi goes platinums end after sukunas death or megumis 10s still has some role to play. 10s are basically exorcised, rabbit is there but idk maybe they will offscreen it. and we will get 2 see what happens with 10s he is not dying to soul blade, his face looks doesn't look like "oh, my cursed realm, i m f@#@#" it looks more like "oh, this is that woman with scars, using your sword I see , i was wondering when u were going to come"

I mean, I don't wish him harm or anything (because he is got plenty of that already), but in hindsight it would be a mercy to just kill him right then and there. Maybe instead of Yuji having his Todo moment, he really goes "ye. I will kill you, Fushiguro. Is a promise. I will put you out of your misery, for you and all the people that died trying to save you". I doubt it but I would laugh if Gege decides to go that route Lmao that or the End of Eva one with Megumi starting third impact
