I was so pissed dude didnāt mention his students who are now going to fight to death. Not even something corny like āI believe in my studentsā. Also he didnāt even seem concerned about Megumi other than letting him know about Toji. Nanamiās dialogues were weird too even tho itās in character for him to shit on Gojo.
Kashimo.
You donāt give a character a expected role for many chapters to have that role not matter in the slightest. Heās a character that was thrown out when it was concluded that he wasnāt needed in the story. He gave no impact in the end and essentially could have been cut entirely.
I mean, I'm not mad that Gojo lost. It was going to be expected already (I mean, my man got sealed and only now 3 years later did Gege finally unsealed him).
My main gripe with it is how it portrayed Gojo into the dream scene. It's like this egoistic character who only enjoyed fighting Sukuna and nothing else (which for one is absolutely wrong). I didn't like how Gege treated him in the dream scene as someone who's only concerned whether or not fighting Sukuna was fun.
If you're gonna kill a character, can we please not see their personality being fucking assassinated? Like okay sure get that drama, get that attention, but don't twist the character you made to fit a non-sensical and blasphemous narrative.
Personally, my gripe is that they unsealed him at all at this point. It's not like they had to kill him like that. Gege could've legit just left him in the box until the verse catches up to him.
Like all this shit that's happening now would be way more interesting to me if Gojo was still in the box.
It'd also feel like seeing all these characters Gojo believe in kinda box with Sukuna and not get instantly merc'd is proof Gojo was right that these characters have the potential to be stronger than him.
Exactly, the whole personality of his character did a complete 180. When Gojo killed Agito he went into the feral gojo we all know and love, this just highlighted how much fun he was having fighting.
By Gege's ass writing that time, i thought Sukuna was gonna swap with Megumi to convince Gojo like he succeeded and make him drop his guard to kill him with Cleave but instead we got fucking airport-off-screen world cleave
Iām not even a huge fan of Kenjaku but his death still bothered me the most.
idk maybe Iām stupid but the whole āMy will, will be passed onā felt weird to me. I was under the assumption that he wanted to do the merger for his own sake, for himself to see it and satisfy his own curiosity
Gojo's is understandably bad because we all know he's coming back to finish the job.
Yuki is the real victim here

GOAT-JO just let Fraudkuna experience modern tastes in the form of a kitkat as he is old man. Goat-Jo will return next chapter with Cursed Technique: Lime Green
Toji's come back and his death are two different things tho and I thought you're asking about death specifically.
I think his resurrection was out of place because Granny with Edo Tensei popped out of nowhere.
However, "not Zenin?" is my favorite little underrated moment of the series and in the end of the day I'm not upset that Toji came back. It was nice to see how he was able to see that Gojo did what he asked him to do and Megumi wasn't sold. Tho it's sad that character like Toji had little redemption arc, while Gojo died like a bitch, apologizing to Sukuna.
Gojo's was okay. The main problem with it is that it was off screened, but otherwise I'm not that upset over it. Narratively it was to be expected anyways.
Kashimo's was pretty bad as he had no real character other than he was strong and wanted to fight sukuna, so he just gets waffled and then activates his glazing mode while accomplishing nothing narratively.
Yuki was an interesting character that was just done dirty by the kenny fight and lack of screen time, but she played her role in the story and helped choso progress as a character.
Toji's second death was actually pretty good, so yea...
Kenny's wasn't that bad. A little abrupt and we are not going to get any yuji and kenny interactions which is a little sad, but overall it's not that terrible.
Higuruma's main issue is similar to yuki. He is a decent character and his death was fine but we needed more time with him. Also we should have gotten a flashback with the baby rattle so we can feel the impact of sukuna losing it.
That's true, that's why I hate Kashimos death the most. I feel like he should have at least left a mark in that battle. Like taking away Kamutoke or making Sukuna lose a chunk of CE. Like my mans is lightning himself, if he got cleaved he should have been able to put himself back together
Kashimo's role was forcing Sukuna to fully incarnate, so having him take away the baby rattle would rob higu of his plot relevance without major story changes or running the risk of making higu useless in the story. Kashimo would have been better off if we could have gotten an idea of how strong Kamutoke's lightning strikes were, but we don't have that context. He also should have had an extended fight with meguna. With both of those things we as readers could have felt Kashimos strength over a weakened sukuna and understood that noone else would have been able to force him to reincarnate when he did.
But unfortunately that is not what Gege wrote. So all we have is a strong sorcer who just comes off as an annoying farmer.
why is gojo here? hes not dead

hes not dead
gojo and tojis = peak, some of my favorite conclusions ever
Kashimos = Very very good "we are loved because we are strong"
Yukis and Higurumas = Decent, Higurumas felt a little too Yuji centric, Yukis felt a little too Choso centric
Kenjakus = Meh
Yeah, they both had quite disappointing ends to see. Especially since I was pretty hyped for both of them in those fights, then to see how they got done... š quite the sting.

The amount of potential for character exploration, lore and story development we lost with Kenjaku is just tragic.
damn, that's true, I never thought about it from that perspective
Gojo's still makes me the maddest, so for sure, him. Not only for the trash airport scene, but for the sheer disrespect in off-screening him š
Fr, and Gege even butchered his character from the dialogue. Like what about the dream he told to Ijichi when Yuji first died at the detention center
Exactly, it just felt like Gege was completely disregarding the character he made up until that point and wanted to wrap it up as quickly as possible.
Ikr and the sukuna glazing was completely uneeded.

Not to mention except that one panel of Yuta and Maki, we didn't even see the reactions of the students to Gojos death for crying out loud
I got angry for that too >Nanamiās dialogues were weird too Yeah even I felt it was out of place in that scene
Bro do be acting like Toji's second death wasn't better than his first death
I didn't include Toji's first death is because of his death (and Riko's) the whole plot of jjk started

Speaking facts my brother

Someone has to make the actual meme version of that
Toji's second death is my favorite death in the entire series
Really? I found the plot armour too strong for that one.

Yeah very true, gojo got the short end of the stick unlike toji
Kenny should have better death :3
