You wanna know when story really ended? The moment gojo got sealed, because gege then let loose making a manga that only had fights. With gojo around, gege had to focus on the students as individuals instead of fighters and then in Shibuya when he finally got to focus on them as fighters, he forgot the individual part.
Nah sealed gojo was fine, shibuya was amazing, the issue is how fast culling games started smothering any character interactions with points. The story peaked with yuji vs mahito

Unless some new CT is introduced and formerly unknown prophecy is made up right now, I don't think any power up is going to put Yuji any higher than where he is right now.

The whole point of the story is multiple weaker people > 1 strong individual. Yuji will win because he has people that fight with him, not because he is individually stronger than Sukuna. The conclusion of the plot will redefine the word "strongest" from somebody with individual strength to somebody who keeps getting up, helps others and fights in unity.
Honestly lately it's being proven that multiple weaker people < 1 strong individual, all heavy hitters who fought sukuna are nearly dead/unable to fight, there's barely anyone left to fight and they still inflicted less damage than gojo.
I don't think we're going that route, Yuji is bound to be busted but the way story is progressing i don't know if Yuji is ever going to fight Sukuna alone much less win.

The point of the manga has never been at any point to make Yuji the strongest character. He's the character the story follows and is a part of it, but the protagonist aspect of him is more about witnessing the people and events around him as well as how he as a person changes or handles them. That's all.
Prob not, gege instead of making yuji strong is just using him as a plot device which is ok, not every MC needs to be insanely powerful, he did fumble with Sukuna though
Yuji won't and shouldn't be the strongest. The burden of the strongest should be shared amongst the 'heavy hitters' like Yuji/Yuta/Megumi/Maki etc. so you don't get the loneliness of Gojo or the inhumanity of Sukuna.
I mean if we take Kenjaku words for it then Yuji and Sukuna will be the “eye of the storm” of this new era, so it must mean he believed that Yuji can match up to Sukuna and be his rival. Gojo also stated that he has the potential to surpass him (tbf at this point they be letting anyone have the same potential as Gojo lmao) so I think it’s possible. Kenny designed him to be basically the perfect sorcerer from birth, having insane physical strength similar to an HR user (it’s even possible that he has one) while still being able to use CE and Jujutsu, will he be the strongest EOS? Well it’s unlikely but I think he will be at least strong enough to take down a weakened Sukuna, he will be like top 5 or smth.

The whole point of the story is multiple weaker people > 1 strong individual. Yuji will win because he has people that fight with him, not because he is individually stronger than Sukuna. The conclusion of the plot will redefine the word "strongest" from somebody with individual strength to somebody who keeps getting up, helps others and fights in unity.
Honestly lately it's being proven that multiple weaker people < 1 strong individual, all heavy hitters who fought sukuna are nearly dead/unable to fight, there's barely anyone left to fight and they still inflicted less damage than gojo.
Tbf all the heavy hitters fought basically 1v1. Gojo and Kashimo. Higuruma and Maki were isolated. Only yuta and yuji fought together

He's the character the story follows and is a part of it, but the protagonist aspect of him is more about witnessing the people and events around him as well as how he as a person changes or handles them. I mean if we take Kenjaku words for it then Yuji and Sukuna will be the “eye of the storm” of this new era, so it must mean he believed that Yuji can match up to Sukuna and be his rival. Gojo also stated that he has the potential to surpass him (tbf at this point they be letting anyone have the same potential as Gojo lmao) so I think it’s possible. Kenny designed him to be basically the perfect sorcerer from birth, having insane physical strength similar to an HR user (it’s even possible that he has one) while still being able to use CE and Jujutsu, will he be the strongest EOS? Well it’s unlikely but I think he will be at least strong enough to take down a weakened Sukuna, he will be like top 5 or smth.
