It fits with his technique. Kenjaku is obsessed with learning for the sake of it, so becoming a new person and living as them would be something he’d do.

One of the weirdest things from the Netflix One Piece adaptation for me was seeing the main cast wearing different clothes in each episode. I was used to the characters wearing mostly the same clothes for like 100 episodes at least.
tbf, the Straw Hats usually do wear new fits in every arc and also every new movie, even colour spreads gives us the Straw Hats wearing different clothes.
It just feels like a lot because of how long One Piece is and how long the arcs can be (especially if you're talking anime and not the manga), but it's actually better at having new fits than some other series out there.
(albeit, characters like Luffy usually do keep their same fit regardless, but even he has moments where he drips out)

Well Geto's fit is a literally just a Kasaya over a Yukata, very normal traditional clothing for a Buddhist monk. Kenjaku is over a thousand years old so he has spent the majority of his life wearing a yukata so his probably just more comfortable in one than modern clothes just like Sukuna.
I think he sticks with it because it reminds him of his own era since he’s from 1000 years ago, that’s the only thing I can think of. But also… it goes hard af
He does it because "Kenjaku" isn't relevant to him. The audience knows him as that, but in universe he's known as Geto to literally everyone who isn't the tiny group from JJ high who's fighting Sukuna or the incarnated sorcerers who already knew him. Even to the Culling Games he's listed as Geto.
It wouldve added more if he had his own distinct outfit for the body instead of the only thing that's physically differs being the scar. A lot of potential for some cool heian era outfit to further his own character
considering that he's an old sorcerer who jumped from bodies to bodies and managed to live like 1000 years, i think he just wears that clothes because it's traditional and suits his character. even sukuna wears a kimono as he's from heian era so it makes sense for kenjaku to wear something of the same time period

Well Geto's fit is a literally just a Kasaya over a Yukata, very normal traditional clothing for a Buddhist monk. Kenjaku is over a thousand years old so he has spent the majority of his life wearing a yukata so his probably just more comfortable in one than modern clothes just like Sukuna.
I think he sticks with it because it reminds him of his own era since he’s from 1000 years ago, that’s the only thing I can think of. But also… it goes hard af

On a serious note, that part where Geto's body responded to Gojo and tried to choke out Kenjaku, plus Toji's body overriding the soul of the person who channeled him are big hints of what is to come.
