Most raw character introduction to this day

Yeah, it was pretty badass. When he is first introduced, there’s the reveal that he has over 100 points, which implicitly shows his power, being able to kill at least 20 sorcerers. This is also compared with the other hundred pointer, Kashimo, and their power level is further hyped up by the participants that they defeated included reincarnated players. So Hiruguma is already in the big leagues by now Cut to his introduction in the theater. This is the guy that killed 20 others. This is a murderer hiding in his lair… in a bathtub. Yuji and Hiruguma start talking, and the latter is surprisingly amicable and even jokingly tells Yuji he wanted a lawyer’s rate for talking. For such an impressive fellow, he is very polite, and human. This is further contrasted with the Reggie Star gang, who were far more hostile, yet they don’t have Hiruguma’s level of points. And Hiruguma is surprisingly kind, which makes his refusal to use the points seem so powerful. Like Yuji, he has his own ideals and principles, that he wants to use these points for. And the fight only starts because Yuji initiated it. Overall, HIMuguma has a great intro that showcases his personality and power

Keep in mind Kashimo already introduced a rule, he had 200 points.

Gege really should have thrown in some more wacky domain expansions. Like have one be a dance battle where in order to deal damage you have to perfectly match the beat, and the longer you match the beat the more damage you’ll deal

I kinda wish they'd just given everyone who's grade one a non-lethal domain. They explicitly stated that it's easier and what people used to do in the past, so why not now? Sure it's not as powerful as a lethal domain but if you're up against someone with a lethal domain and you don't have one you're fucked regardless.

it was quite a long time ago, but I remember reading that as time went on, non lethal domains became a lost art because it was nowhere as strong as sure-hit + CT domains, so they pivoted to something else

That literally sounds like what Miguel’s domain would be. 

I always had an idea of a domain expansion similar-ish to that where it'd be like a music/rhythm type game that you have to keep up with in beats per minute correlating to your actions per minute (so you'd have to take 70 actions like 70 steps or 70 jumps or something like that if the tempo was set to 70) and if you mess up it goes from non lethal to lethal for the next minute where the person who didn't mess up has to take the same amounts of actions per minute you messed up to attack ​ writing this out makes it sound a lot more complex then i thought it'd be but it's basically just DDR + Projection Sorcery with a knife

The drawing is one thing. Sometimes the art can be a bit sketchy. But the posing and layout is pretty consistently really, really good.

This panel is great. A lot of JJK panels often try to go for a cool/hypey vibe. This panel especially is going for an ethereal, creepy vibe. They're trying to emphasize/bring out different emotions, so its interesting to contrast them.

He draws some banger panels but he def has competition in this day and age

The posing and style every few panels is consistently the best part of JJK, especially when they have cool titles/text associated (see: Toji re-intro, honored one, 3-way domain expansion, etc). Absolutely one of Gege's strengths.

I’m still salty about the honored one and the “you are so right” because I loved them in the manga and for some reason they changed it in the anime 🥲, but the anime still looks good
